After now finally playing 1-5 I would have to agree with you. I think 1 & 2 have really solid party members. Better than in 5 IMO. Although maybe that's partially because of the focus on them in 1&2. In 3 and onwards you have lots of interesting side characters in addition to the main party members. Any more than that I'd have to think about more, but could be something interesting to explore in a future video.🤔
@boxorileys tbf the cast gets two games to show growth but also the cast simply not only relies less on anime tropes than later persona games but also get more to do within personas story that later persona games (this is a big issue with the social links which chop up character growth often which affects modern persona games story pacing wise)
persona 2 duology is the best persona game and best megaten game imo, atlus made it clear that with duologies like digital devil saga and persona 2 are where they excel the most because theres more space for character development
i love crazy storylines like this, i feel like this is where atlus shines, majin tensei 2 spiral nemesis isnt too far off with the craziness and both ended up being some of my fav megaten games

As someone who has played all the KH games and understands most of the lore, ehhh This ramps up way more quickly, we don't get to shadow versions of people until KH COM 😆 Although I will say having a bunch of games to keep straight and the mobile games definitely makes KH lore more convoluted. Maybe a possible sequel in the future? 🤔
Yeah, the plot isn't too bad to follow if you don't worry about all the small details. But since it's a plot about rumors becoming reality things go off the rails pretty quickly. Just wish Maya wasn't a silent MC in Eternal Punishment.

i never got into kingdom hearts but seeing elsa and goofy in the same room makes me think its a huge rabbit hole with no escape
