    That has to be the best one camera shoot ever. Notice the fight scene up all the way up the stairs was done 'live' with no edits.

    In the outtakes on the DVD they show it.
    And Tony Jaa is just completely exhausted.

    pure raw talent in moviemaking unlike Hollywood with all their cgi and effects:( there was barely any cuts in this clip very very impressed...:)

      Basically what I was about to write. Let martial artists do what they do best, let the camera rolling, no parkinsonian camera, no fast cuts (though of course, this elongated scene is something to behold, not anyone could pull it off…)

    I came here from John Woo's one continuous take from the Hard Boiled Hospital shootout scene... and I find this more fun. Maybe it is because of the absence of the PEW PEW! factor :P

    Apparently according to the director on the special edition DVD, this no-cut scene took 5 takes to perfect, for reasons such as the safety mat not being in place in time (when he throws them off the balcony I assume?) and some furniture etc. not breaking as it's supposed to.
    Anyway I love Tony Jaas' style and the cameraman seems to have a special talent here too.

      Makes it more realistic anyway. Best forms of combat for street use ARE simple, and can easily be performed under pressure.

      Are you crazy? That's some serious form of Aikido mixed with Karate (it seems) and trust me, it may seem simple, but's complex and difficult as fuck to learn it.

      It's muay thai with an emphasis on grappling moves, to create the style 'muay kodchasaan' which literally means elephant boxing.
      The simplicity is evident in the roundhouse kicks, powerful, fast and effective, with no spinning around.
