My specualtion is, they never had the money for international lawsuit, vtubing doesnt earn that much. And certainly no expertise. Same as two other other black company this year. "subject for 5kk yen under jp judicial system" is a joke, it's literally impossible if your contractor is not jp resident. Though talents have no money to sue back as well.

Are you sure WACTOR's exclusivity arrangement was any different from Nijisanji or Hololive's? They complained that Shino Laila engaged in "VTuber activities (including monetization)". As far as I can tell, while the big two are fine with their talent making money as fleshtubers or pngtubers, I've never seen a member of either use a functioning VTuber avatar while employed with them.
Kson, for instance, used a VTuber avatar before joining Hololive, fleshstreamed from her personal account while a member, and went back to using a VTuber avatar a month after leaving.

@@ckmishn3664iirc, Hololive does not restrict the talents to continue engaging on their roommates' career, but strictly against direct connection or even promoting or mentioning it. Some talents still have their past career ongoing without much fuss.
But not for Nijisanji though. Even allowing strangers (even friends or family members) to appear on the livestreama.

For the people who wanted to know how nuclear the reaction was when Wactor doxxed Hina, let me say that it was so massive that many fans of Wactor decided to fully doxx Wactor's CEO Akira, it was effective enough to actually see what was going down inside the company like the one who was the legal representative was his mom, and she was using some of the accounts to do PR things for Wactor. Hina (Now Meica) is the biggest ESP v-tuber of the Latam Region who actually speak and stream for spanish demographics (Iron and Reimu are in EN parts mostly) so people actually do damage, and yeah, some of those feed the narratives about Lia x Akira being a real thing because of the massive leak of information fans got as revenge.
But one of the most interesting part is what happened in the Wactor Discord Server where mods, who were clippers and some of them just "big people who donated a lot" decided to turn into Wactor's side and helped to get info of the girls, ban people who were worried and some of them are working with indies (Especially JP, be careful lads) and even the worst one is a mod for Phase Connect, it was proved that somes of them went to /vt/ threads only to anti the girls because they weren't "pure jap girls" and hating the new ESP girls because racism (When the lad was a just as latin as the rest of us at the end of the day). Some of them until this day go to hate the girls even on twitter or /vt/.
Some people while discussing this said that many of these mods were not even paid and just got something like talking to the talents themselves as payment, making them very parasocial with them (Even with leaks about some of them declaring his love to Hina and getting rejected), so when the girls left, they took it very personal and the worst say possible.
The entire history of Wactor is a tale of what a black company truly is and yet we don't know the full truth yet, but time will leak that true anyway.

One thing that must be emphasized about the doxxing of Misora/Meica is that the Spanish community not only saw this as a completely disloyal and reprehensible act, but they also made Meica feel safe by making memes and making jokes with her. 2) When they actually started hiring spanish speakers... well you already watched the video, nothing changed.
    3) Hina Misora was HUGE in latin america. And Wactor was so stupid to not take care of her, and not try to do the same with other talents that were following her footsteps.
    4) When they hired for Wactor ES... it was so sad to see their streams because it felt like they were being held at gunpoint so they don´t speak at all about what is happening, and to just keep smiling and keep working.

I don't know what to say. This is so terrible, especially for the talens involved.
Rumours while often unfounded with evidence, often being parades willy nilly. This reminds me of a case of a female pro wrestler. I think her name was Hana Kimura. While shooting for a reality show by some Japanese TV station, she was told to cause a scene to bring drama to the show. Apparently the contract she signed include nda and some clause that she have to follow the director script. The drama was ruining her reputation and cause her severe depression due unable to defend herself. He mother begs the tv to clear Hana's reputation,by admitting the incident was scripted. Alas the TV refused, until the day Hana decided to end herself.
After some times the TV finally made open statements, admitting the incident was a scripted event. The producer and director resigned from the show. But allegedly they still producer and director just in different team within the tv station.

At least other agencies have the intelligence to know they cant legitimately control peoples lives. Wactor doesnt want talents, they want puppets. So they can control every miniscule aspect of their lives. People they can treat like garbage and have not care. Unfortunately for them, soulless husks dont exist in the real world. The last line is accurate. There's so many small corpo tries to ride the vtuber wave. Recently in Indonesia, I've seen a case of horrible treatment from the company, terminating their talent because they went silent for months, the talent also complaining online, she hasn't got her payments. Then the company posts ALL the receipt of the talent's purchase for the vtuber, and ask the vtuber to pay back publicly.
Feels like a insane couple breakup story, rather than a termination

One thing that I think you could have emphasized is exactly how nuclear an issue the Vtuber community views doxxing. Looking at this video from the theoretical perspective of someone from outside, yes doxxing is bad and a health risk, but it is hardly a big enough deal to be such a serious part of Wactors reputational loss from the general community. Vtubing allows secrecy and separation from the IRL, and to even reveal the IRL name of ones Oshi that they have not themselves volunteered is considered one of the highest-level infractions. Hard doxxing them is basically the single worst sin a company can do bar none. Probably viewed worse than outright unfair termination frankly, because at least then your Oshi is no longer related to the bad company.

    • @rowanmales3430
      @rowanmales3430 Год назад +9

@@guilguis4820 Sure, but it is much more sensitive topic in Vtubing. Because Streamers at least consent to streaming as their real selves and have themselves and their room on camera. Because of this, doxxing is a lot easier and simpler than it is for a Vtuber on average. In Vtubing there is a serious expectation of privacy about pretty much everything IRL and it is much MUCH harder to find enough info about them to dox them. Only their companies and sometimes other talents they have off-collabed with can really do it without serious difficulty. Which means the community views the power to do so as a taboo for them to ever use. I'm not saying streamers being doxxed isn't bad if they had been trying to keep it hidden. But Vtubers have a lot more power-dynamics relating to secrecy to begin with.

Just remembering these events makes me want to unleash my fury for all these guys, who are now taking refuge on that board that is deader than that crappy agency. Here is a fact that only a few know and that is that in their Discord server (Yes, the ideal Message Service for the worst aberrations that can come from a person) they literally did not care what happened to the girls, no I'm lying when I say one of the 3 disgusting moderators, public that he didn't care if a talent left, that in the end a new one would replace him.
Anyway, I still wonder how there are still people who believed the story of Hina vs. the Clips and who cling to W. For me, it is not difficult to come across really despicable users who criticize the girls (More like Meica for some reason) as guilty of a crime that they did not commit, knowing that there are people with clear xenophobic thoughts (R) and questionable reality mentalities (If you know what I mean), who are both outside and inside the girls' communities... people completely resentful of destroying their fantasy of having control over them... that makes me paranic.
Akira, like a good failed coward, if it weren't for his "Prodigious Ability" to contact really talented and charismatic people, he wouldn't have gotten as far as his own public put him. Because yes, W. didn't do much, everything was done by the Fans and the Talents. "Papa Smurf" just watched and filled his pockets with our money, while at the slightest form of protest to have better treatment, he will make the easiest decision, expel and dox her (In the worst case scenario).
Good video, actually, you included both old and current information, including a couple of videos that W. herself unsubscribed. Now, taking advantage of your confidence and the "Hispanica" theme, I was wondering if you were planning to talk about another agency that grew quickly when W. started to go down, maybe you know it, since some of its talents still collaborate with the girls (Meica and Nisha).

And this was when we're discussing about Nimu's yab on Twitch since she knows i had contact with Vtubers (mainly since i work with 2 Vtubers, 1 EN and 1 ES). So in all of this Wactor never had a legal standpoint because they try to trial under laws of another country and on top they commit slander 1st.
Actualmente Luna Rurine, Neon sezia , Himea, regresaron independiente

Then they purchased Vspo (Because the Vspo talents wanted, but couldn't afford 3D), and things went vertical.
They announced V4Mirai (V4Mirai refers to itself as Brave Groups first EN project), and then immediately launched Globie Social (their 2nd EN project, but focused on the EU, and emulating Niji EN), and Vspo very quickly followed up by announcing EN and CN branches.
Globie Social had their debuts earlier this month, and Vspo ENs 1st gen is going to be announced at the beginning of February.
They're doing an incredible amount of stuff on the JP side, setting up their own version of Virtual Talent Academy, and bringing Vtubing legends HIMEHINA into the agency.

Good video. The Wactor case is one of those that I investigated the most at the time. Here is a little of what I experienced:
In January 2023 I was a little away from the vtuber topic. It no longer caught my attention, but still from time to time a funny clip of some vtubers would appear. The clips that appeared were of Misora Hina and some other Wactor girls. I had already heard about Misora before, she was quite popular in the Spanish community, especially in Latin America, some classifying her as the biggest vtuber in the community, becoming nominated for several awards along with another talent called Rurine Luna, another Wactor talent.
At the end of January I was on Twitter when the first bomb of that year went off. Hina Misora is missing and several of her classmates are starting to disappear too. I was immediately interested in all the chaos that was being generated, since I was dedicated to scripting videos for a channel in which I collaborated, I started to investigate.
I discovered several things and rumors about past events. The Shino Laila and Kurari Rose case, the rumor that some vtubers were disappeared for deleting company information, the pattern of disappearances that in most cases was due to illness and from there Wactor no longer said anything, the matter of Lia and her CEO, among many other things that it would take me to explain.
As the days went by and I discovered more things, the uncertainty, fear and desperation of the fans increased when Rurine Luna, one of the girls who collaborated the most with Hina, made an announcement that she would take a break. The fact is that this announcement was poorly written, as if they had used a translator, without a doubt Luna did not write that. Neon Kuroyuri, Wactor ES talent, was suddenly absent without warning, her last tweet said that she was sleepy.
The rumors that Hina had already been fired grew worse and people began to ask the company for explanations, some rudely, but others very politely. Either of them were banned from Twitter accounts. The madness of the Discord server also happened, where the moderators banned anyone who asked about Hina, Luna or Neon. There was a special chat for Hina fans, however they deleted it and the alarms increased. And despite all this Wactor continued without saying anything.
A couple of days passed and the announcement was made that legal action would be taken against anyone who spoke ill of Wactor, since that was the moment where the rumor of the CEO and Lia having a relationship spread and where the CEO was most doxed, but also to some girls by people who to date it isn't known if they were fans who wanted to help find the missing girls irresponsibly or if they were haters or people from Wactor.
I remember that at that moment it was discovered that Luna on her Twitter had left likes for very varied tweets that formed a farewell message to her fans. That's something that made me very sad, but that's not where it ends. Neon suddenly returned and streamed. She seemed sad and was trying to calm people down, but in the end it seemed like a farewell more than a normal stream. Wactor had used her as a failed smoke screen, only to disappear again. Another talent named Himea was made to read a written script in which she stood against her friends. People began to unsubscribe from all the talents, there was a kind of massive doxing of Wactor, until suddenly Meica appeared. They recognized her from a voice clip and then other talents who had been missing also came together to support Meica. They soon talked about Wactor in public, making a counter move that the company did not know how to respond to.
Several vtuber news media had heard about the case, but did not give it enough importance. Wactor was really a very bad company with his talents, forcing them to do and say things they didn't want to, disappearing them when they were no longer convenient without even giving notice to his fans, deleting her work and doxing those who stood against him. Currently Wactor lost all of its past Vtubers, including Hizuki Miu, who was the company's first talent. Now they only have a branch called VV-Gamers, they no longer focus on Spanish. Good luck to those girls and I hope history doesn't repeat itself.
For me, the Wactor case was one of those that generated the most suspense and helplessness, but with a happy ending. Meica and most of the girls who have become independent are fine and the company that took advantage of them has fallen into misery. I think it is one of the biggest cases that the Spanish community had in terms of vtubers and there are too many very shady cases out there...
That's all from me, sorry for the long text and happy new year.

No matter what they did Wactor is done for. Just hoping remaining talent that still inside wactor can get away safely in a way. Hope laws in their country favor thems. But idk how talent in Japan does tho, since its infamous japanese laws often favor companies, public figure or more famous party than the workers/civilians. Leading to many un alive issues that persist for decades in Japan (Talk about low crime rate lmao).

You realize you can and should use the word suicide in comments like this, right? While RUclips will demonetize a video for using that word, they don't go after comments that happen to contain that word.
Using a euphemism like "un alive" is only really an acceptable thing when you are forced to do so by the platform you're using. Using a euphemism diminishes the impact of what you are saying. This has the unintentional effect of minimizing the impact that depression and suicide has on people's lives, and the lives of those around them.
Suicide is a serious problem in many countries, especially Japan, Korea, and India, among others. And it should absolutely be something that is discussed openly. It is often seen as something shameful for the surviving families of the victims, and we need to fight against that stigma.

@@Bobbias I repeatedly get my comments deleted when using these words before in some other channels tho. So thats why rather than it being deleted. I forced to input these weird words lol.
I agree its not japan exclusively but entire Asia. The eastern work culture that belittle mental damages and exhaustion and that kind of work culture infecting every workplace nowadays. While it propelled the comanies to the top of the market, it cost so many life. But until facing the population decline (3 prominent asia countries Japan, China, and Korea have this exact problems) bcs they dont have time to date/having families, care for others and very expensive educations/living cost. Its really hard to make changes especially if majority already get used to it, as we all know people are always afraid of changes especially companies bcs that work culture make them rich in the 1st place.

They had a lot of potential and they wasted it. It even became (supposedly, I never saw the proof that confirmed it) the third most succesful Japanese Vtuber agency at some point, and they screwed it all. And it's such a shame because most of their avatars were really well made and had an excellent design. Even better than many from Holo or Niji. Also the collabs of some of the members were incredibly fun and entertaining, especially Hina and Laila. I'm glad that most of the talents are back now, as independient vtubers or in better agencies, but it's still sad that some of those things are lost forever now.
One of the things that upsets me most is what happened to Lia, and it was all for rumors that never were confirmed. She has an unique personality and is really fun, but many people took her as a scapegoat just to vent their frustration over W. So what happened to her really sucks.
I'm glad that Hina and Luna, now Meica and Koa, are in IdolES now and will keep growing in popularity. This even could even open the chance of getting ES branches in the most popular agencies.

In the end i miss some of the Vtubers that did not reincarnated (Miu and Lia) but i think it's best for both of them to stay away, mostly because at least Lia still has haters (The one of the sonic pfp mostly)

If only this company started without Its dark intentions, they surely must've been one of the top big companies now.

My thoughts on wactor extend beyond just vtubers themselves but to the mentality of a black company. A black company that runs things under the table in japan can legally still pursue defamation against anyone saying negative things about them regardless of whether those claims are true. As such this seems to be the common strategy employed by black companies to try to control workers under them. It falls apart when crossing international borders as we see here, but they are stuck in their way of thinking. There appears from a western pov, to be a norm of power dynamic of upholding the speech of a company while suppressing the speech of a worker/consumer that is not the norm in the west. (think about companies verbally harrassing or threatening a product reviewer to leave a positive review, to take down a negative review on amazon or ebay, or to fraudulently report a negative review in order to get it removed for made-up reasons)
I would guess that reputable companies dont try to exploit this since they know the optics of exercising self control (even if there is legal allowance), but black companies like wactor do because they ignore the optics of having self-control in these situations because there is a legal allowance of this sort of behavior and they dont have enough reputation in the first place to be worth preserving.
Basic advice to be gleaned from this is not to trust a corp with no reputation if they dont show evidence that they value fairness or integrity behind the scenes.
And even if they do, one needs to be careful and see if they can show you they value those things even when nobody is looking.

The problem with the Vtubers ES community is usually a cultural thing. The humor and way of being of the people here is very... Chaotic, and many people tend to be quite controversial in themselves, especially if we talk about influencers.
For example, I've never seen anything from Nimu. Nothing. At most, his few-minute chat with Hina was quite a while ago. But I did find out about your controversy, and as an Argentine I can say that it is the ABC of how people work in this country. She didn't surprise me at all, in other words, she is a textbook Argentinian.
So it's not that the community is bad. We have our things, like everyone else, but in general the problem is more with certain sectors that are quite toxic, and if you avoid them then there are no major problems.

Japanese need to understand that they are building company not only for Japan market BUT also international market. They need to abide to international culture and not bringing their work culture to outside. Black companies are common in Japan so this kind of practices might seem normal to them, but these are nails to the coffin if they force it into outside world.
