How do you practice your skills with different weapon types I'm playing mhgen but I like guild insect glaive but I'm bad at positioning and evades what do you do
It's mainly about learning the monsters not the weapon. The best advice I was given was spend the first fight just running around the monster and noting what attacks/combos/openings it has and the hitboxes

If I use GS it not that hard because charge attack level 3 to his face will definitely flinched him and I can get away safely but weapon like SA can't do that in one hit and it can't hit in rapid succession like IG. He will counterattack me after I hit him just once because he recover really fast. T_T
