the reason why very few male singers cover Demis songs is because of the high notes he did often its woman singers that sometimes can reach the high notes thanks Demis for being in my life RIP

I wish though your were introduced to Demis Roussos not in his later 1970s career where the business attracted to his voice had his songs overproduced & overbeautified. Yes I wish you listen to the *raw qualities of his singing* which were more obvious in his years with the band *Aphrodite's Child* where also the lyrics were not commercial. One good example is *I want to Live* from 1969: /watch?v=0zezVBsfmBQ (just paste this after the link of this site). Also She Came Up from The North or Fire & Ice from 1971 away from his band but still without the business overproducing.
I think his song choice was his biggest attribute. Auto-tune is definitely used heavily. He brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. May he Rest In Peace.

OK it us annoying and you repeat it all the time Demis Roussos was not Egyptian/Greek. He was purely of Greek origin born in the Egyptian city of Alexandria. At the time of his birth there was a flourishing Greek minority there.
He has a beautiful and unique voice with that high pitch and fast vibrato.He was very popular here in Norway in the 70s ! Thank you for your great reaction to Demis !
