Yes, I think it was in 450 after christ that the Anglos, the Saxons and... I think the Frisians ( which was partly the area of today's Germany), came over to England and brought there language but soon, with the great vowel shift, the languages were drifting apart, especially with the following foreign influances of the Skandinavians, the French and many more which made English one of the languages with the most words to express things... I loved my English linguistics class teaching about that. So amazing to think that our languages share the same origin and yet, English sounds so different to the ear... so much more melodic...
@jenniferk6632 Have you heard Welsh by any Chance .? It's probably the Closest to what was spoken across Britain when the Romans invaded Britain in AD 79 .( I think AD 79 is Correct) Of course they came unstuck in the Germanic States .
@jenniferk6632 It's actually Amazing how Many Words Shakespeare added to the English language ( probably in circulation ) but 1st time put into print written .

Great video, thank you.
Thank you for coming along and commenting ❤️ Enjoy your evening
Incredible, and I could have watched hours more, if there were hours to see. You definitely have captured the quintessential english seaside town, I would love to visit one day. Jenny, please don't buy anymore tops - I have masses to loan you!!
😂 ok, It really was just for that hot day... I am glad you enjoyed it... Lots of love to you... will see you in 8 days 😀
Hi Jenny, wow what a glorious day you had and with such amazing weather too! Glad you’re enjoying being back in Blighty! 🤗
Yes, the weather is fabolous, even with occasional showers in London today, it still felt good with blue skies and sunrays peeking through... love it being back 😀
Leigh on sea is interesting
I was in Leigh-on-Sea yesterday and took some footage, so a video of it will come, soon 😀
Nice to see you back in England. Enjoy your stay, which will be different not having your own transport.
It is indeed different, I think, I will only do it this way if I have only one housesit in a huge City ( hoping for Paris or London, one day) for I love having my own pillow and blankets with me 😀. Except for that, I am so happy I came, absolutely love it ... Greetings to you ❤️

Welcome back to the UK Jennifer 😊 I've been to Southend on a couple of occasions but never on the little train on the pier. Those scotch eggs looked delicious mmm I love them and I love an ice cream 🍦 happy days enjoy! ❤️

@@jenniferk6632 Yes I can tell by your delightful smile 😁 you look so happy. Hopefully the sun will keep shining down on you! ☀️
I also like it cloudy with the sun shining through some open areas in the clouds as it was today 😀 Thank you though... I know, what you mean... how is Ireland? I need to check out your latest videos, these days... 😀
@@jenniferk6632 Yes I like that to when the sun's is breaking through the clouds 👍 I'm in Bushmills my 3rd night here the Distillery is not far from me last night I went I to the Bushmills Inn for a beer it's also a hotel. I leave Northern Ireland on the 30th an eight crossing to (Birkenhead) Liverpool. It's been amazing here and hopefully more to come before I leave ☺️
@thecampervanner Wonderful, so happy to read that you also have a great time... Enjoy your evening 😀
Habe direkt nach Southend on Sea geschaut.

Well English is a Germanic Language after all .Lower Germanic.
This is an experience I will have to have, yet... looking forward to it 😀
Yes, Shakespeare was a true master of words... 😀
