Little trivia fact about the X-H1. It's one the last cameras from Fujifilm to be manufactured in Japan as opposed to China.
I really didn’t know that! Thanks for the fun fact
Curious if it really matters. Genuinely asking. I have XH1 that I purchased used, but rarely use so I’ve been thinking of selling it. I’d deft lose some money if I did so I’ll probably just keep and try to use it more.
Does the EVF diopter move around when you move the camera, like it does in most early XT cameras? My XT3 does and it is really annoying. Once you notice it, you can’t forget about it anymore. You can even hear it in video sometimes. Maybe the made in Japan thing makes a difference.
@jesseskye3547 @@RoadmanV Not 100% true, I have an Xpro-3. "Made in Japan" on the bottom :)
My Xs10 is made in Japan
Loved your video essay and love your voice. I subscribed. This camera is my dream camera - right now I shoot on an X-T1. Hoping to pick one up in the next few years, maybe when I'm done with school.
Thanks! It’s an amazing camera. Hoping you get to grab one soon🙌
Good video and I agree with your view of the XH-1. Only difficulty was that your voice dropped below the frequency response of my laptop speakers towards the end, so I had to lip read lol
I agree. You're pushing your voice down your natural pitch and we can't understand anything properly. I don't know if it's for style, or if you want to sound deeper, but your natural voice would sound great ! No need to push it :)
Other than that, great video
Great work
Thanks!
It's such a good camera. I've been using mine since the first week it was released
Still loving mine to this day aswell!
I own three systems and also own an X-H1, and I still love taking the X-H1 out to take photos. The X-H1 is the former flagship. I admire its tank-like build and its control is also very good. I deduct a few points for the ergonomics of the thumb grip. If you don't want to buy some later models at such an expensive price, and can accept the 673g body weight and the relatively small number of film simulations, you can really consider the X-H1.
Excellent video ! I sold all my Fuji gear, unless my XH1. I love it. More and more along the way :)
For the rubber, you can use EC-GFX piece. It's more comfy. All XT, XH, GFX eye rubber are retro compatible.
Thanks! I’ll grab one to try in my X-H1 it looks better than the one I have currently so I think it will work 👏
I did the same thing for my X-H1. Hated the original eyecup.
Give SOOC a try again. Changed my life.
The 16-80 is really versatile and very sharp at all apertures.
I hear great things about it, it’s definitely on my wishlist 🙌🏻
Debating on getting this camera, or an X-T1 ! Whichever has something special in the sensor, is what I'm gonna choose..
It’s tough, but I’d probably go for the x-h1 the newer sensor gives you some nice looks out of camera. Also the stabilization will help alot when shooting in low light 🙌
@@RoadmanV Do you still have it / use it ?!
Same i take the rubber eye piece off. Its annoying when its hanging on your neckstrap.
I’ll try remove it, I wasn’t sure you could to be honest.
👍🏻
hello dear, I am new with this camera.... could you tell me the lens you have in this video? is it casually a risespray?.... and do you have an opinion for the TTArtisans lenses? I appreciate your answers....thx
Hey! It is a TTArtisan 25mm F2 - Manual focus. It’s a great lens for the price. I personally love the image quality and size of it and use it all the time.
it is still pretty good for general, but the focus is slow, so is only for general purposes. a bit too big as street photography.

I would get one for fun if the resellers weren't living in dream land with their used prices. It's worth €450 without battery grip but people where I live are trying to get €6-800 for it. I keep seeing their adverts time out and then they repost them at the same price waiting for a sucker.
I got mine for around €480 they go for around €650 in Cape Town it seems.
Might need another year for the prices to drop, maybe there’s still some hype from the x-h2 release
450€? Lol. The entry level XT-30 sells for $700 on MPB. How do you figure Fujifilm’s top of the line body, that sold for $1899 (body only) on release is only worth $500? $650 for the amazing XH-1, from a reputable source with a warranty like B&H or MPB is more than a fair price. €450 is dream land ;)
@@marike1100 Because the X-S10 does everything it does and more for €900 with better video quality, better codecs, more FPS options etc. That means the only reason to buy the older out-of-warranty camera would be to get half-off. The only thing the X-H1 really has is *official* weather sealing label, but the X-S10 is just as weather sealed if you're a normal person who doesn't flip the camera upside-down.
@@marike1100 I’ve seen them go for $500-$550 on Reddit, I picked mine up for $520 mint condition
@@Vinterloft Just bought mine for £500 with only 3000 shots, a battery grip and 3 genuine Fuji batteries. It was advertised for more and you are right, there are many dreamers out there!
Im new to this hobby and want to focus on photography, im dabating between choosing the xh1 and xt3, maybe a bit toward the XH1 bc it's cheaper, ill have more money to buy lens but i've heard some negative feedback on the xh1's shutter button which is too light so it's hard for the user to know when the camera is focusing or has taken a picture... Can you please give me an advice. Thanks !
Hey!
Both are great cameras and I’ve used both.
The benefits of the xt-3 is that it’s a bit more compact and more traditional.
The x-h1 was a more video focused camera so it’s got a bigger grip and the light shutter similar to other dslr cameras.
Which ever you choose you’ll be happy as they are both fantastic cameras!
I’d try get your hands on them first if possible to see what feels good for you.
Let me know if you have any questions!
I’ll recommend X-H1 because it feels like you already own the X-T4
Hello. I see you wear glasses and have an X-T20, two things we have in common. And given its second-hand price, I'm interested in the X-H1 to have a better viewfinder, the only real flaw that I find in the X-T20. Can you please tell me if the rubber on the viewfinder gives you trouble aiming compared to the X-T20? Thanks.
Hey! The X-H1 rubber does feel abit weird using it with glasses on. A few viewers have said that you can either remove the rubber completely or switch it with an alternative.
I haven’t found it to be a deal breaker and the viewfinder is way bigger on the X-H1 compared to the X-T20.
Hope that helps!
@@RoadmanV Of course it helps me, difficult to have the camera in hand since photo shops became rare so this type of comment is always welcome. Thank you for your help, merci beaucoup.
I have the same exact issue, but with the xt30. Thanks for answering this question!
What’s the “another camera” that put this one to second favourite?
The XT20 is my favorite. Compact, easy to use, and very portable.
is it worth upgrading to the xh-1 from the xt-20?
It depends what your planning on using it for. If your looking for a video focused camera that has built in stabilization I’d say the x-h1 is the one to get. But if you like your camera mainly for photography, I’d keep the Xt-20.
I have both and I prefer and use the xt-20 more as it’s light, portable and takes great images🙌
I did exactly that. YES. The X-T20 was a fun start in Fujiland, but it really feels like a little toy Lego block in the hand, and the X-H1 feels like it was carved from billet aluminum with great controls AND stabilization (not to mention weather sealing). For me there is NO contest, X-H1 all the way.
Hello Vincent. I like your videos but I'm a little confused with your voice. Sometimes they have a deep voice like an evil villain and you end the same sentence with the voice of a scared teenager. Is it a skill or does it come out unintentionally?
Hey, I think it’s natural to my voice. I do think microphones emphasize it though 😂🙌🏻
i missed on a 500 euro oportunity and now i beat myself ...
Sorry to hear!
I shop on craigslist. When I see a camera or lens I want and it is too expensive I do two things. First, I wait two or three days. If it hasn’t sold, second, I email the seller and ask if this is their best price. Sometimes the seller is looking for a greater fool or somebody who doesn’t know values. When nobody responds to their ad and the item doesn’t sell I play “Let’s Make A Deal”. The person ho cares the least usually wins in the negotiation.

loved the video but somehow the constant vocal fry is getting to me...
my brother, where for R8000? im seeing it for 11
Seems like prices have changed a lot in the last year. Also second hand gears a lot harder to find.
@@RoadmanV no stress, can I have the name of the shop where you got it?
Here is the link cameraworld.co.za
@@RoadmanV damn ,I almost got it from there but it got sold. Thank you tho and Great content.
Your voice is nearly not to understand, although you use a Micro 😮 and the music in addition makes it hard to understand.
stop the vocal fry dude...your gonna mess your voice
I’ll work on it🙌
Oh, yeah, I didn't notice, but you're right, he was doing that the entire way thru.
Please talk louder! I have to crank up the volume, and then commercials break in and blast me!
Thanks for the feedback! Will work on speaking louder and balancing audio levels

Holy vocal fry
maximum vocal fry
Speaking of quality control, you need to stop mumbling mate.
