Not ashamed to say I cried hearing that. Going back when you're on the run seems foolish at a glance but doing it for your kid is such a beautifully parental thing to do. Hope real justice is done and he will get more days with his family. And peaceful rest to the the shepherd boy and thousands of Afghans who didn't get to go home to theirs because of a pointless barbaric war.

I think its such a heart breaking thing to think that his daughter might grew up feeling guilty or guilt tripping herself unconsciously when she sees him going to prison. The poor girl just missed her dad and wanted to spend time w him.

It’s likely not as malicious or nefarious as you might think. Careless and impatient, absolutely, but likely not willful. They were probably trying to upload as fast as possible and cut it to upload prematurely.

I was in Iraq for 14 months..... it was a phucking sh!t show. I remember the first time I thought to myself, "Oh no! We are the Empire!"...... It was about 4 months in, and I had just witnessed my Marines delete a family because they didnt obey the signs...... written in English. I mean, technically the car didnt stop, but it was probably because they couldnt speak or read English. I guess we'll never know.

I was going to join up at 18, but my Grandfather who was in WWII talked me out of it. Most of the people I have known who were in, were either drafted, or joined up young believing they were serving a noble cause. I hate the way this system uses people so much.

Our man broke rule number one of turning state evidence of war crimes over to journalists: share it with many journalist outlets of known quality, and tell each of the outlets the others have the same material. This holds them accountable to each other, and the truth of the evidence.

When I hitch hiked in Australia, I met a truck driver who also went Iraq. He was so convinced still that he had to be there to free the Iraqi people from Saddam. His truck had two small bunk beds so he let me sleep in his truck with him for the night while he took me with him to where I had to get off. I still sometimes think about how the PTSD affected him. It wasn’t the first time I encountered someone with night terrors and it never stopped being saddening.
I live right near one of Australia’s largest military bases, so I know a lot of people that are currently serving or have served. So many of them still truly believe that they are the hero’s for going over to Iraq and Afghanistan. My old boss (a highly educated woman working in social services and psychology) was married to a high ranking officer that did 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan and she was soooo proud of him and would “brag” all the time about her big strong soldier husband. I will never understand how she didn’t see that her husband was NOT the good guy, we literally worked with multiple extremely traumatised Afghani children that had been placed in state custody because their adoptive parents could not handle their complex needs that all stemmed from the trauma they experienced in their home country at the hands of our military and our allies.

Both sides of politics that rule have sold us out ..last night I went past the bus terminal in Bondi and there was twenty people sleeping on the ground in there..there never used to be people having to sleep there before they made housing unaffordable and unattainable.rents have increased so much and there are so few vacancies people are just being turfed into the streets ..they act like it was accident but it was by evil design to create a permanent class system forever..city living is so hard here but there is so little too offer in regional areas in terms of employment most people are forced into having to live in the city where you can pay all your wages to your landlord

The only Hasan clip channel that seems kinda shady is 'Hasan Reacts To.' It always has a massive percentage of likes as views, and frequently has more likes than views. This channel's latest video has 11k likes and just 71 comments. That's with 25k views.
That one's a bot channel, copyright strikes other clip channels and uploads unedited clips to get out videos as quick as possible
Why would you comment on a clipper channel?
Besides that it's the worst quality. There's always notification sounds and freezing from them using their computer while screen capping the stream.

I talk to most didi/taxi drivers about politics constantly its a thing we do in Egypt so it's force of habit even though I've been in so called Australia for 22 years
for the "journalist" that run that story, had he done a good journalistic job he may not have gotten to grow into the system (as i am sure he did greatly), but this is a story that can win you actuall awards. i would have thought (for myself) that would matter more to me. winning a pulitzer or something for great investigative international impacting work, would overcome a two-steps-higher-position in the system for me.
