- This map is about the Nightcloud and Crowfeather's "romance" from his point of view as well as his drama with Breezepelt, basically all his struggles in the giant mess that this dysfunctional family is.
You know it's funny, i'm pretty sure this is like, only my second map to ever use my own designs?? ANYWAYS, Thank you SO much to everyone who participated and got their parts in so fast! Every part is AMAZING, this was SO much fun host and im so glad so many of you appreciated this maps idea! ILY U ALL XOXO

I love seing Crowfeather's side being shown. The picture was always painted as Nightcloud and Breezepelt being in the right which isn't true at all. Nightcloud kept telling Breezepelt how bad Crowfeather was and was too overprotective of him. And then she gets mad because Crowfeather and Breezepelt don't like eachother?
Aside from that this is a good map. The emotions are protrayed so well and everyone's parts were great!
Arctic Altalune not really it's mire of breezepelts problems are all nightclouds fault and I like her plus anyway people see different things around so yeah!

I really like how unique this map is, like it showed things most maps don’t, like how the secret being revealed affected crow (oof iff looks could kill at 1:25, actual chills) and his side of the family, or when nightcloud attacked crow

this is such an interesting take on crowfeather. most people paint him as a demon and breeze and night as the victims. they did bad things too.
I totally agree everyone I've seen is I hate him crow feather and just tosses him aside for mothpool with out them seeing the pain crow feather has went through or why he acts the way he does
This is honestly the most true to the book take on Crowfeather. He was a standoffish and slightly distant father to Breezepelt but Breezepelt was manipulated by his mother and the hell cats to think Crowfeather hated him and wronged him. Apparently their relationship gets a lot of well needed mending in Crowfeathers super edition.
Breezepelt is a massive shitstain. Nightcloud did nothing wrong. Crowfeather is somewhere in between...he did things wrong and definitely misled and hurt Nightcloud which was unfair to her, and he should have been there for Breezepelt. But no matter how he treated Breezepelt, that's still no excuse for the things Breezepelt did. Crookedstar had a terrible mother but he didn't turn into a douche. Several other cats in the series had a bad parent and still didn't turn into assholes. Anyway, I think Crowfeather made a lot of mistakes and then learned from them. I enjoyed Crowfeather's Trial because it shows him GROWING as a character, from his POV. He FINALLY realizes what he's done to hurt his former mate and son, and he tries to make it up to them. He actually starts to BE THERE for Breezepelt (even though I still don't know if Breezepelt deserved it), and he becomes friends with Nightcloud after sincerely apologizing to her for lying about being in love with her.
@@catz537 Nightcloud helped turn her son against Crowfeather, knowingly or unknowningly we'll never know, but she is not innocent.
@@2hr1ne Nightcloud favored and doted on Breezepelt, yeah, and maybe she contributed to his entitled attitude. She definitely coddled him. She couldn't see his flaws, even when he literally turned evil. But she's not the one who caused his pain, and she never lied about being in love
Some people genuinely think this is a new or even inaccurate take on the situation when this is literally how things happened in the books.
Now Crowfeather wasn't perfect. I feel like he used Nightcloud to prove his loyalty to the clan, weather it was intentionally or not, and of course that's not right. I also think he was a bit too strict on Breezepelt and was part of the reason his son felt unloved.
But his reserved nature was only part of the reason. Plenty of people who's parents are strict or only occasionally give praise don't doubt their parent's love the way Breezepelt does. A lot of it was also that Crowfeather was isolated from his son a lot. In one scene Breezepelt winds up in danger and Crowfeather is concerned for his son, trying to help, only to be ushered away by Nightcloud. Maybe one of the big reasons that Breezepelt and Crowfeather weren't closer was because Nightcloud coddled her son and let her resentment towards Crowfeather get in the way, often refusing to allow Crowfeather to be a better father. I understand why she was protective of her only surviving kit, I get why both Breezepelt and Nightcloud may think that Crowfeather's more reserved attitude meant he didn't really love Breezepelt, but nobody can convince me that it wasn't at least in part Nightcloud's fault for coming between her mate and her son.
On top of that, Nightcloud wasn't exactly the best mate. Every time we see her she's petty and resentful and jealous of Crowfeather's previous relationship. I understand to an extent, he loved Leafpool a lot more than he ever loved Nightcloud, to be honest, and I get why she was insecure. However her insecurities should not have resulted in her screaming at Leafpool and Crowfeather every time she interacts with either of them. It should not have resulted in her being outright violent with both of them. In fact, to those who say Crowfeather is abusive, I think there's a stronger case for Nightcloud literally clawing Crowfeather in one scene being abuse than him ..not always being emotionally available.
This is a lot more accurate than a lot of people's takes on the situation.

A lotta people are saying in the comments they like seeing this "take" on Crowfeather but...you guys realize this map is the most accurate to the books for him, right?
Was he a perfect father? No, he was somewhat distant and standoffish and somewhat strict at times but he wasn't just strict with his son, he was strict with EVERYONE, even as an apprentice. And Breezepelt was being manipulated by the dark forest cats AND his mother's talk to think that his father hated him and had wronged him. We have seen Crowfeather lecture his son when he misbehaved but he has only yelled at him, like serious yelling, twice. Once when he tried to attack leafpool and again when he stood by the dark forest no matter what.
Crowfeather WAS NOT abusive. He was firm, and Breezepelt was being manipulated and I am GLAD Crowfeathers book brought more light to how much Crowfeather does care about his son so people can stop claiming him and Nightcloud were perfect lil saints. They weren't, ESPECIALLY not Nightcloud.

And, because I know people will disagree with some of these-
a) He didn't make fun of or directly harm Breezepelt (besides pulling him off of Leafpool, but that's not a bad thing? Like oh I'll just let my son seriously harm or kill someone.)
b) Being distant =/= neglecting
c) He ran away with Leafpool before ever becoming mates with Nightcloud.
d) The fact that he wanted to be on good terms with them proves he didn't hate them.
And besides, in the end, they ARE on good terms.

To neglect means to completely abandon, with no communication whatsoever. To ignore- not completely- means to not interact with someone too much, unless necessary/wanting to.
Yes, maybe we don't see Crowfeather and Breezepelt talk much- but they still talk. And do note that we had no inside look on Windclan at the time, so we can't just assume he and Breezepelt never talked.
Yes, maybe the times they do talk are a bit prickly, but its never mean or harsh (unless Breezepelt is acting up, which lets admit, he does _a lot._ For example, point C I made.)
That's where Nightcloud is faulted, actually; even when Breeze does something bad, _really_ bad, she simply comforts him and yells at Crowfeather. Thaaaaaaat is not a healthy way of parenting.
Maybe Crowfeather wasn't a great dad, but he wasnt the worst either, is what I'm saying. I'm not going to excuse him ignoring Breezepelt, but saying Breezepelt was neglected is simply not true, given when we do see the two together they do talk sparingly. And as I said, we can't assume how they interact inside WindClan, so we can only guess its the same everywhere else.
My biggest point is, as of Crowfeathers Trial, Crow changes and he and Breezepelt become really close, so really who cares about the past anymore.
This is very well said but might i add, Crow?? doesn't ignore his son, the only time he ever truly "ignored him" was when he complimented Lions catch instead if Breeze's, thats. one (1) scene
In all the other scenes they are CLEARLY interacting, those interactions might not be positive, but im sick of ppl in general saying Crow out right ignored him?? He never ignored his son, he was strict on his misbehaving, rude son, thats not ignoring thats literally the polar opposite? We don't see Crowfeather sitting 6 miles away from breezepelt at gatherings, we don't see him not responding to his son when his son talks to him at all jghkjhfgjkjhf
CrystalColors I'm not taking about Crowfeather as a whole. He didn't ignore his son, he was just a bad dad. I'm talking about in general, ignoring your child is a form of neglect.
Even before Crowfeather’s Trial, I never saw him as abusive. Sure, he wasn’t the best, but he’s not on rainflower level like so many people made him out to be. I remember people saying he was abusive and stuff, and I remember getting really mad ^^’

Also. Crowfeather doesn't deserve the hate he gets tbh, everybody pities Nightcloud but they don't see things from Crowfeather's perspective. Nightcloud was literally turning her son against his own father which made Crowfeather very upset and a little bit confused. I personally think that Crowfeather deserves more love instead of hate.

1:10 Can we talk about how heartbreaking this scene made me feel. Like imagine being in that situation, where two of your sons collapse into the ground, and you could only save one of them. Personally, I feel like Crowfeather is way too underrated. Nightcloud manipulated Breezepelts mind, making him think his father hated him. Nightcloud ALSO was HORRIBLE to Crowfeather! That family was MESSED UP
At that point, he didn't know Lionblaze was his son.

I love this so much. I see him as the victim but a lot of people see him as the monster which I kinda hate. This honestly depicts him so well in my opinion and is now one of my favorite maps

Honestly, this is pretty accurate. Was Crowfeather a saint? No. Was he a demon? Also no. He is just a guy who's made a lot of mistakes and had to atone for every single one of them. I'm honestly glad he's Windclan's deputy now, I relate to this guy WAY too much, and I'm rooting for him going forward. #Crowstar
I really like this MAP. People always showed Crowfeather as a stubborn jerk. Sure, at times he was, especially as an apprentince. But he went through alot, having to give up two cats he loved and then when he became mates with Nightcloud, he was very attacked by her and his son. Crowfeather may not be my favorite character, but I think he earned some sympathy.

If Crow and Breeze acted how they do in his novella in the regular series, I’d like them a lot more. Reading Crowfeather’s trial really made them grow on me, but I doubt they’ll write him how they did in that book again, but I hope they do. I live for Breeze’s redemption to his clan and Crow’s redemption as a father to Breeze and friend to Nightcloud.

Y'all realize Nightcloud straight up raked her claws against his leg right? Crow never did that, ever, to Breeze OR Night. I don't care about 'but she was scaaaared uwu.' No. You do not, ever, no matter who you are, harm a loved one or family member for ANY reason. THAT'S abuse. Nightcloud's a petty she-cat who let her self-esteem issues rule her mind and it made her super fricken toxic.
Crow's not perfect either but god I sure as hell skipped a majority of whenever Night came around in later books. She did nothing but whine and complain like every damn time she came around it was so annoying.

I believe that Crow, Night, and Breeze were all at fault in their own ways. I have a positive view of all three, however, because they eventually made up.
@@dragonburst3035 Oh yeah no they definitely all had their own problems. The family was super dysfunctional, I just see Night as the main problem of it all because she quite literally couldn't get over herself.
FINALLY a MAP that accurately depicts Crowfeather and Nightcloud’s relationship. People often make Nightcloud look like the innocent victim of an abusive relationship, but in reality she was the more abusive one. She was obsessive and clingy, and she didn’t even like Crowfeather, she just used him to have babies. She would yell at him if he criticized Breezepelt in the slightest, get in his face if he even breathed in Leafpool’s direction, and hell, sometimes she was even physically abusive. While Crowfeather was not completely in the right either, neither was Nightcloud. They just had a very unstable relationship and they were not good for each other at all.
From the beginning, I always had a soft spot for Crowfeather. He fell in love many times to only be met with sorrow in the end every time. His first love died, then the second one left him (but not without secretly giving him kits he didn’t know about until later) and his third one attacks him mentally and physically along with his son. It’s amazing how he can cope with this and even if he is a butt, he has his reasons
i really like crowfeather i dont think he deserve all this hate i think he deserve more love, very people hate crowfeather because of how he was with nightcloud and breezepelt but they dont see crowfeather side in the story, he lost the first cat who love and undestand him (feathertail) and cant be with the love of his life (leafpool i guees crowfeather loves more leafpool i am saying he cant love feathertail or nightcloud i am just saying i guees he loves more leafpool) and nighcloud and breezepelt dont give the space he want... and he aways miss leafpool thinking in the life they can have.... poor crowfeather

Ravenwing Just because you like a character doesn’t mean you have to like their actions, that’s what people forget when they talk about character like Crowfeather. Crowfeather regret his actions, yes, he should have been there for Breezepelt, but he made up with his family recently in Crowfeather’s trial.

Is she perfect? No. She's a huge brat. But none of the characters are perfect, so why is so bad that she's flawed?

listen linda Ah, sorry, I might have made myself unclear. I am fully aware that you can like Crowfeather, honestly, go ahead, I’m not one to tell you what you should think. He’s a well written character and I’m not saying you have to dislike him. The point I’m trying to make is that, some people make Crowfeather out to be a tragic, ununderstood, “innocent cinnamon bun” character even though he had his own share of mistakes and hurt many cats. It is fully acceptable to like him and I see why you would, but I feel like some people turn a blind eye to every flaw he has. :’D
I love anything that paints Crowboi in a neutral or positive light. He's been through so much bull honestly. His first mate falls and dies in front of him. (Feathertail, by the way, was a warrior, and Crow was how old at the time? So uh. Not a ship for me.) His second mate leaves him to serve her Clan. He has a generally tense relationship with his son and third mate, only for it to be revealed that his second mate had been pregnant with his kits. Leading to him being shunned by his Clan. His life just s u c k e d.
I can't believe this it is so amazing aaaa everybody did a great job! I love the part with crowpool and when they know the truth well basiclly every crowpool part but this whole maps is amazing!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh

This map perfectly Shows the relationship between Crowfeather, Breezepelt and Nightcloud. in the end as much as the other two paint themselves as victims it's literally the opposite Nightcloud turned Breezepelt against his own father. filling his head with lies and doubt then drove him to be evil. then got mad when Crowfeather stopped him from literally committing a crime they showed no care for the fact that in the great battle Crow lost his daughter, and even then when he could have proved them right about him still being in love with Leafpool he told her that them not being together was for the best. i FEEELLLL for Crowfeather he lost two of the loves of his life and the third person he shows love to ends up being a jealous nuisance turning what he thought was his only child against him you have no idea how much i hate Nightcloud. i don't completely hate Breeze but he's still not my favorite cat
WeRRUclips nightcloud was used to gain his clan’s loyalty and was neglected. she had to watch him lust over another cat and neglect and verbally abuse their son. get off the crack bro.

@@crystalcolors2229 Ehh that's not true strictly speaking, looking in the books neither of them loved each other, It clearly states in the books that Crow only wanted loyalty to the clan and Night wanted kids. They both used each other and put Breeze in between.
He did also have a secret relationship with someone else while he was with Night, it would have been better if he just broke it off with Night their and then but he couldn't because he wanted the clans loyalty.
It's hard to tell what happened between Crow and Breeze because we got so little interaction between them and depending on the writers it was either Crow was fine or as Jayfeather clearly states, he'd never want Crow as his dad (it had something to do with him being way too harsh on Breeze even when he wasn't being a jerk) so that's saying something. I think it all becomes speculation because their were way too many cooks in the kitchen with too many different view points. He became a better dad as the books went on though, probably as Breeze became less evil.
Night did attack Crow, that was shitty and jealous but also out of fear that he'd hurt their son. She was way to protective of her son though and couldn't except that he could do anything wrong even when he was trying to kill Leafpool.
I'd say everyone was shitty as hell in this situation but they all got better with time.
@@Parasolhyena Half of this is factually wrong. You're forgetting that Nights and Breezes whole issue was never the way Crow treated them, it's always been his PAST relationship with Leafpool. He never cheated on Night. Night never clawed him out of fear he might hurt his son. In the scene it's very obvious she did it because he talked to Leafpool, his ex. He shoved Breezepelt aside and exchanged words with Leaf and Nights EXACT words are "get away from HER" Everyone is flawed, but Night is more flawed than Crow, because her reasons are bullshit, she was jealous and possesive, both aren't sympathetic or justifyable reasons for her behavior. She hurt him out of jealousy and the fact he had a mate a long time ago, not fear.

FINALLY people acknowledging that while crowfeather wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t terrible either, and that nightcloud isnt some innocent victim. they both have their flaws, and they both have their motives.
This really changed my thinking about Crowfeather this is why I love warrior cat maps ... Nightcloud is one of favourite characters I just love to think that she has pink eyes in stead of yellow!
I am actually beyond happy that someone doesnt see Crowfeather as a bad guy.They think that because his mate and son hated him that he must be the bad guy which, in some eyes could be true. Regardless I believe that he isnt a bad person, he never intentionally hurt his family. This video really protraies this effect, really happy other people feel the same about Crowfeather!
I never liked Nightcloud to be honest, all she wanted was kits beside Crowfeather had suffer alot as an apprentice but Nightcloud had filled Breezepelt head with nonsense and thats really not a good mother.

all the characters mentioned are all pretty evenly flawed. crowfeather wasn’t a bad dad, he just didn’t really love nightcloud and he found it uncomfortable to be a father to the newly born breezekit. because of this, nightcloud is overprotective of her son to make up for a absent father, and she tells him to hate him because she herself is bitter about his ignorance in their family’s wellbeing. but it was pleasant to see crowfeather feeling conflicted when he spotted nightcloud with pickle, and honestly that was adorable.

I like how it touches on his feelings for Feathertail in the beginning, this is such a nice demonstration of how Crowfeather feels about all of this. He really isn't the bad guy in all of this. I mean seriously tho, Ms. Nightcoud over here didn't have to trash talk Crowfeather and end up somehow making Breezepelt hate him ;-; @-@

This is definitely one of my favorite MAPS! Crowfeather has always been so misunderstood by the fandom. This MAP kinda shows that he always did try his best (and actually shows nightcloud as being someone other than a perfect blameless angel). Beautiful MAP, great job to all the animators!
I think both Crowfeather and Nightcloud had theyr good and bad sides, the weight of that is on both of them in my opinion

Honestly I've only read crow feather's trial, so its complete news to me that crow feather ran away with Leafpool before night and crow's relationship- I thought he was a cheater. But luckily now I can see crow feather in a new light. He isn't the best dad, but he's breeze pelt's parent and he at least shows that. He's tried his best to keep breeze healthy and safe multiple times. And I kind of can relate to his distant nature. Honestly nobody except maybe breeze pelt in this situation is the "Bad Guy" Night cloud had too much anxiety about crow feather and his past relationships, that it got to her head. And forced her opinion onto breeze pelt. Since Night cloud is a more expressive parent then crow feather. And leading to breeze pelt hating his dad- when he was doing all he could. To make sure he was safe, and even to try patch things up. I already discussed crow feather- but the only reason I see breeze pelt as closest to any "Bad guy" is because his reasons for attacking others isn't justified. He attacked cats that his mother didn't trust, true. But that's not a reason to try and murder cats. Night cloud is also not justified to express her hate towards her son like this, knowing his aggressiveness. I just feel this relationship was build on the past, and breeze pelt was built on anxieties and expectations.
Crowfeather deserves so much better, he doesn’t deserve to be hated on
I like how it didn’t show much of how crowfeather seeing himself being distant but as if he’s a good guy, he IS a good guy but I love that everybody has a flaw. In his point of view it seems he didn’t do anything wrong, not seeing how he put Nightcloud in some pain too. Great job!

Whenever she is seen she is either screaming at Crowfeather or Leafpool, clinging to Crowfeather, or talking shit about him to Breezepelt. So yes, that is accurate.

Bless this MAP for existing, Crowfeather has always been my number 1 favorite Warriors characters of all time; I've loved him before Crowfeather's Trial and I would often get backlash for defending him from Nightcloud/Breezepelt fans. This MAP perfectly depicts him as he was in the books, and I love it!

I'm going to rant about Crowfeathers relationship's. Nightcloud I think feels that because of his past that he is not going to be a loyal mate to her and her child and you can see why. But this does not give her the excuse to put negative thoughts about Crowfeather to her son Breezepelt when Crow is trying to make his family work out and trying to prove his loyalty over and over again. Crowfeather seems sort of distant to his son and it might be because of Nightcloud. He loves his son and tries his best with him, but with his mother spoiling him and his father trying to be strick with him, WHO IS BREEZEPELT GOING TO SIDE WITH!!!! His mother of course, as well as all the stuff that Breezepelt did in the dark forest with bad influence it's no wonder he turned out like this. I feel like Nightcloud over coddled him, trying to make up for the love that Crowfeather was " not giving " which is not true. I feel like Crow just has trust issues when it comes to love because of all the stuff he has been through. I mean his first love DIED IN FRONT OF HIM FOR BASICALLY STRANGERS!!! And then his second love ran off on him to help the people that she was running from. Crowfeather is hurt and Night does not try and talk to him. Instead she just beats him over and over with the already large amount of guilt he has! Really I feel that if night put more trust into Crow in the beginning then there relationship would be fine. I'm not saying Crow is perfect either. I just think that if Night did more stuff in there relationship then focus on all the wrong they would be fine!!!

Tbh I was really upset how literally right after Leafpool rejected him, he immediately became mates with nightcloud. He’s had three mates before and idk, it’s not like he shouldn’t find love or anything, it’s just that the books could do more with what happened and have him develope his character in a way where maybe he doesn’t trust people as easily? It’s would have been a bit more interesting. Idk, I just don’t ship Nightcloud and Crowfeather very much. They have similar personalities, but sometimes you need to balance it out for things to work. Take Leafpool and Crowfeather for example, she is very caring and affectionate and while he can be a bit aggressive at times, it balances. Same thing for Feathertail and Crowfeather (yes I know she’s dead but still). It just feels incomplete, ya know? I’m not done with the series or anything, (I’m on the third series uwu) and I know Leafpools heart belongs to her medicine cat duties but I can’t help but thinking that Nightcloud and Crowfeather aren’t happy together. Not to mention, Leafpool always feels jealous of Nightcloud whenever she sees Crowfeather and her at gatherings😬

People always use the scene with Crowfeather complimenting Lionpaw's catch as a way to make him seem bad, but think about it from a Windclan perspective. It's usual for them to catch rabbits. They barely eat anything else! A bird however would seem like a very hard catch for any cat outside of Thunderclan and Skyclan.

Unpopular opinion but...I really like Crowfeather...I love this map because of how true it is to his character. Showing that he really isn't a horrible cat, sure he has his flaws, but everyone likes to paint Nightcloud and Breezepelt as the only victims in the toxic relationship. Sure, Crowfeather had some fault in it but so did Nigthcloud and Breezepelt, they're all equally responsible.

i love how he trauma crowfeather's experienced leads to the cats close to him feeling excluded, but the circumstances beforehand do a good job at explaining why he is this way without justifying it.
I love the controversy surrounding crowfeather, and he's probably my favorite character in the series.

This was a very interesting Crowfeather map. Crowfeather tried so hard.. I would seriously do anything for Crow. Crow, you rule! Beautiful map. Great job, everyone! This was such a treat.
I have never liked Nightcloud. She often seemed bratty and I never liked her helicopter parent behavior. But the more I saw just how abusive she was to Crowfeather, constantly shouting at him and talking shit about him to his son Breezepelt and even getting violent with him really went to show how much more I would come to hate her character. She's not a victim. She's far from it. And it's really getting tiresome seeing Warriors content where she is depicted as such and Crowfeather is depicted as a heartless demon. Crowfeather is a damaged and misunderstood soul who has been through some traumatic experiences. I don't blame him for being so reserved or emotionally distant. It's his way of protecting himself from more emotional harm
She even attacked crowfeather, and was jealous and practically fomaing at the mouth saying "MINE MINE MINE" And in every scene where they are together she is always touching him and it clearly makes him uncomfortable.

I never liked Nightcloud neither Breezepelt. Yet, I always shiped Crow x Leaf. What a stunning MAP! So many outstanding animations! Luv it! Deserves 1 billion likes!
