I'm a CFA level 2 candidate and I was considering doing MBA, this video greatly cleared up my confusion regarding to do or not to do MBA, based on my interests. Huge Thanks 🙂
if you are doing CA then only you can compare both honestly, as far I know even IIM finance syllabus is not comparable with CA final SFM subject. I have completed MBA as well so believe me MBA sucks, I studied for 2hrs before exams and always got 70+% . so CFA is any time better. I have gone through syllabus of CFA as well. CFA can't be compared with Indian MBA program. If you want to do MBA then only choose IIM or symbiosis. But remember CFAs are always posted at higher rank than MBAs. he should have compared CA with CFA. That will be worth to compare.
U are totally wrong about the syllabus and secondly IIM grads are mostly posted higher than CFAs and CAs also please check the placement report on icai.org and on IIM website...u will be totally shocked! Not even 60% of the CAs are even offered placements! That is the difference in value of a CA and IIM grad when compared in finance field! And apart from IIM and symbi there are many other colleges which provide far better role in finance which CA degree or a CFA degree doesn't offer...even if the CFA degree does has finance more than IIM syllabus they still lack in some skills which are basically taught in a good B-school! And CA syllabus is toh not at all comparable with IIM finance syllabus! Kumar mangalam birla himself has told in an interview that CAs lack in finance economics and communications if compared to a top B-school and hence they should increase their syllabus
Shashikant M Now syllabus of CA course have been totally changed and it covered all the area of finance and economic matters for corporate business analysis and valuation. Just go and check.. And one think keep in mind that only CAs have sole authority to conduct Audit not only for profit making enterprises but also for non profit making concerns like, schools, colleges, hospitals, Government bodies etc..So,Finally, It remember that without information, data etc. gets Audited by CAs the Managerial decision made by MBAs based on that data, info will become ineffective.. A Corporate become handicapped.

I have completed my MBA in finance, m planning to pursue CFA and looking for job simultaneously. At first, m opting for L1 as it is a level certification itself. If you haven't opted for MBA yet, i would suggest you to go for CFA-1. Its easy, centric and less expensive comparing to MBA Full time regular.
Thanks for the video sir... this helps a lot... But I have one more doubt... How can we do CFA course from India only.... and if level one got cleared... then we can get job for practical knowledge in India or not ?

gaurav kumar Kumar no way...try something of your own field. CFA is supposed to be undertaken after graduation, so you don't have knowledge till graduation ( though you have knowledge of IT but not of finance). if you really want to pass CFA level 1 I would suggest to clear CA level 1 or join best finance classes.
