Great video! I am a CFP®. You mentioned the registration fee but you didn’t include the cost of the educational courses. Also, after you pass, you have to pay to get your actual certification.
@@salman.salu11 The education cost depends on who you use for your coursework. There are different providers like Dalton, College for Financial Planning, Brett Danko, etc.. After you earn a college degree, complete the CFP® coursework, pass the exam, pass the background check , and agree to code of conduct, and get approved , you pay a fee of approximately $455 to make it official. The fee is due annually to stay current along with continuing education. To be able to use the marks, you also have to have a minimum amount of experience in the industry
You have got to be kidding. I have never known a single person who honestly passed the CPA exam all parts with 400 hours of studying. It takes double that.

So which course should i opt CA /CFA /MBA/ACCA or something else .please people with knowledge reply . I'm really confused about my career . 😥 Not have career guidelince at all .
Hi there.! It seems you can do all the above courses. But as a mba aspirant I'd suggest you to do your courses in this manner→ MBA→CA→ACCA→CFA, etc. Because after MBA if you're able to manage your studies along with work (if required) and try to complete CA. After that ACCA offers CAs to exempt 9 papers out of 13 papers. So you can easily clear those 4 papers and become a member of ACCA family. Then you know.! You're at the top and if you want you can clear all others courses such as CFA, CMA/ICWA, CPA, CFM, FRM, CIMA, Investment banking, etc etc Hope this suggestion helps. Anyway, finally it's all your choices because it's your life. As a well wisher that's all my thoughts mentioned above. Thank You. Best of luck in your currier✌️
Thanks for the detailing the differences. I work in Finance now but unrelated to financial planning. What are job prospects like after getting CFP certification.
Help! Anyone here using a Macbook Pro? Any success with the Excel functions using a Mac? I am a finance student studying for the CFA and I feel like I am the only one using an Apple product for Excel and having issues with finding all the correct Excel functions/short-cuts. I am seriously considering purchasing a PC for all of my excel needs; but, I love my Macbook Pro. Please share your thoughts.
I have both a PC and Mac. I can tell you that Mac excel work is more difficult. Plus most direction you will receive will be catered to PC. When it comes to Excel on PC, formulas and formats are more clear and understanding. They are both great for Excel, but PC is best
I earned my CFP designation this year in Canada. In my experience a CFP holder is most likely a financial advisor that sells mutual funds/stocks and may or may not be a life insurance rep too. You can also be a CFP that designs financial plans for their clients but doesn't sell specific investments/insurance "a fee only planner". Like the video mentions it is entrepreneurial based in that you need to attract clients and sell yourself. I'm sure their is also CFP's that work on a team of financial advisors and may support them with planning - maybe earn a salary in this type of position. Either way you're dealing with people all the time and trying to sell your services and various financial products. I typically see individuals with the CFA designation working at mutual fund company's as part of a portolio management team. Rarely see a CFA holder as a financial advisor but they're out there.
I don't have a bachelor's degree, but I have an associate's degree in software engineering. How can I obtain CFA? Should I try to get a bachelor's degree related to finance or it doesn't matter? I'm also having concern about MBA requirements, can I apply for MBA certification with my current degree?
Thanks for wonderful informative video brother. Requesting an answer. I am working in Oman working as an inventory-purchase admin and earning 10 lacs per year . I've always thought there's two versions of CFA. I'm studying for my Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 and Group One to become a financial advisor.
Hi Steven. Many people mistake the names since "Chartered Financial Analyst" is a less intuitive acronym than "Certified Financial Advisor." The CFA is geared more towards portfolio theory, whereas the CFP is focused on managing/planning all aspects of an individuals wealth.
@@victornyamu2547 You mean between a finance degree or CFA? I haven't worked in hedge funds so it's hard for me to say. If it's not top tier, get both the degree and a CFA, but chances may be slim regardless, especially with no direct experience.
I think the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) certification is particularly helpful in the Asset Management space. However, it is much less popular than the certifications mentioned in this video.

Fun fact: 4 out of 5 CFA candidates who start the CFA program never receive the CFA charter.
It's a very difficult exam and requires a ton of consistent studying. Consistency is key here.
Means 20 percent result. Its very good result percentage.
It takes an average 5 years for candidates to make it thru all 3 levels.
