What's your favourite IR?
Simple, my default IR is one of yours (LT TV mix7 or mix2). It sounds so balanced and realistic that I always start with this one when noodling. On TwoNotes, I also use the Big Hairy Guitar pack which sounds way better than the default 2Notes cabs. Before that I was using the Catharsis IRs as they sound quite good even with a very short IR lengths (usefull for some older modelers).
LT TV Mix 2, but the TV Mix 7 and 10 are also really nice.
@@208414 I only found the Mix 7 in the link above. Were could i find all the other IRs leon was kind enough to share?
I love REW. I use it with a calibrated mic (and EQ APO or JRiver for playback) to create room convolutions to fix room phase cancelation in my Hi Fi systems. You guys could never be to nerdy
Ryan Harvey Catharis IRs are probably my favorite. Leon's TV Mix IR is really great as well especially for live playing.
Geoff Tate in his prime was amazing. I saw them open for Iron Maiden at Radio City, I think it was The Warning tour.

My favorite IR’s right now have been the Ownhammer Rock Box 1999 V30. They sound just perfect to my ears.

I'm a fan of the super nerd episodes. It always frustrates me when people say 'turn the knobs until you like it'. That's great until you try and reproduce what you liked in a different situation. I also need to understand what a target for 'good' is. Knowing the details matters, unless you plan to just play one amp the rest of your life.
IRs I was a huge fan of York's 212 M65 Cream, really all of York's stuff. Finally, found a Friedman GB/V30 mix in DynaCabs that I'm going with now though.

Hey Leon! ML sound labs released a new ir pack called Reflex IR, supposedly they are different than most irs, as they are "flatter". Any thoughts on this?
