As a mechanic and engineer .. plus classic car , modern car sales and restorer guy… revving an engine not under load , (with a computer controlled engine) results in lower combustion chamber pressures... which in turn doesn't expand the rings as tightly against the cylinder wall as they would be under heavily loaded acceleration... which in turn will allow more oil to leak past the rings. That’s why they put soft limiters on cars ..

@@Daniel-dj7fh so what sports car + luxury car would you get?
@@Todestuete Personally none, but something like an m3 touring or c63 t-modell wouldn't be a bad thing to have.
Personally I'd have multiple different cars. If budget wasn't an issue I'd defo want a Porsche gt4 and maybe a taycan cross tourismo. But I'd also be happy with a gr86 or hyundai i30n
I think most of us can agree that the previous M2 just looks way better than the current M2.
Thats a bmw 240i and not an m2?
A lot of the comments said old M2 looks better, but i think new one looks better! Apart fr the sounds i prefer everything in the new one!
I just seen a purple m240i in person that thing looks amazing!!!!
I have the previous gen 2 series, it really is one of the best looking BMW’s that they made
The new M2 will probably render the M3 pointless, just like the M3 Xdrive did to the M5

Please add that link if you have it. I haven't seen it.
Was it with the F90 M5 or F10?
Depends what size car and how many doors you want doesn't it. It will definitely move people away from the more expensive models though.
M5 xdrive is the same drive train as the m8 xdrive. They're about 0.5 sec quicker than the m3. How is it pointless...🙄🙄
How does the m3 xdrive make the m5 useless? The m5 is still faster
M2 cs is going to be 🔥

I can't go over how ugly the back end is in the new bmw
The new one looks like some chinese tried to copy it using low res pictures
As a mechanic and engineer .. plus classic car , modern car sales and restorer guy… revving an engine not under load , (with a computer controlled engine) results in lower combustion chamber pressures... which in turn doesn't expand the rings as tightly against the cylinder wall as they would be under heavily loaded acceleration... which in turn will allow more oil to leak past the rings.
That’s why they put soft limiters on cars ..
240i: Ugly, automatic only, four wheel drive.
M2C: Handsome, manual gearbox, rear drive.
Oh, and unless you're doing a full on standing start, using the 240i's 4WD, the M2C is quicker too!
Absolutely no contest.
But a hell of a lot more expensive too!
Both ugly compared to E46 coupes

Matt can be hilarious:). Amazing machines.
Hilarious but funny.
I can't wait for the new M2 to wipe the floor with the Audi RS3 and Mercedes C45 AMG
The old m2 is on par already with new rs3 and a45s
@@qwertyqwerty-zi6dr 😂😂😂are you mad , on a track it might b close but on British roads & typical British weather the m2 won't stand a chance unless your Lewis Hamilton
@Mike Smart Audi is the most boring of them all. So it all adds up. :)
@Mike Smart I think Bmw is on another level..all M cars beating rivals..that B58 engine is a masterpiece. I bet that 240 can beat S3, the latest 7 in both EV and oil combustion both redefines the segment...Audi is the lagging behind the trio..
@@nhlanhlamagagula7467 more like audi also want to sell Porsche and Lambos
BMW wish they could keep it boring like Audi instead of just being plain ugly like this 240i or the new beaver M3 and M4
You should race that same 240 but tuned up, so we can see the difference.
From the thumbnail, the new M240i looks like a Civic from the rear
Almost 1700KG for a 2 series is absolutely insane
plus the interior space didn't even improve, all that weight for what...? Just get a M340i instead, same basic weight but it has a usable backseat and 4 doors.
@@savannahkorben7353 4WD isn't helping but still. 1700 is just insane, a 2011 3 series touring weighs way less

The M2 lost the drag race...

Agreed
The older model M2 looks so much better 😅
Matt is so inconsistent when he counts down from 3 🤣
Anything for the win
The side profile of the new 2 is actually really really nice. It’s the front and back that I can’t believe.
I don't like it.
If you follow the lines of the old model from the roof down the A & C pillars, it resolves perfectly in the centres of each wheel, and just looks 'right'.
The new one doesn't, the A pillar resolves ahead of the front wheels yet the nose still looks too long. The rear is also the same, and the lights add to it's ugliness.
@@DjNikGnashers you can have your own thoughts instead of copy pasting famous designers just because lowkey u understand shit of design

I think my comment explains clearly what is wrong with the design, and your comment just makes you sound like a muppet.
Daily driver M240 holds its own against a pure performance/track car M2. technically it's not apples to apples but i'll take the smoother ride. look forward to new M2 and how it performs later this year.
