Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I'm so happy that you decided to approach a more minimalist lifestyle. It has made such benefit changes to my life :) I hope you can visit and experience Hawaii someday.
Okay thx for the invitation. For some time now, the real God has been replacing the energies that controlled me. Because of those energies, I wanted more than it should be. I feel very good now, I am high, as it were, without drugs or alcohol etc. and I don't need anything more than necessary, as I have a higher state of consciousness. Minimalism is, as it were, a logical consequence of being happy. It shouldn't be a forced thing ..... and then it's great, all that clean space ......👍💐
Hi Sophie, I’ve been practicing minimalism now seriously for a few months. I started with my wardrobe then moved into my lounge room removed 2 side tables and shelves. I even got rid of 1 shelf in my mudroom as it was just a dumping ground for my husband and teenagers. I’ve been pushing now encouraging my teenagers to cull their wardrobes and bedrooms. My daughter has found this most effective. My husband mmm he needs a bit more encouragement. My next huge area to tackle is my kitchen - I have huge cupboards. I’m finding I’m delaying this but maybe I need to do 1 section at a time?!?! Thanks for the inspiration 🥰🇦🇺
Wow I can so relate to this messy house messy mind. It drives me mad but I would leave as you state a trail behind a cup on the table etc etc . No matter how I tried I can't break this habits. I have a minimalist home but I can.make so much mess great tips X ✨

@@fertilityalignment-withlin8789 Such a cool profession Linda. I admire what you do. I'm sure that you have even more of an insight into your own mind with your education/background/training :)
Hi Sophie (I hope I got your name correctly). I've seen some of your videos and they are awesome. Thanks a lot and keep it up. A big hug from the Philippines! Bravo!
Taking care of your items is a great way to save money, I'm still driving a 1997 civic I bought for 1000 dollars and fixed up. I made all my furniture from wood reclaimed or salvaged from discarded items. Also I try and buy products that have a minimal amount of packaging so I don't have to throw as much in the trash. I lived in Japan for many years and these habits are common sense to the people landlocked on an Island.
I admire your way of living! Like you said, I think living on an island, I think people become more aware and conscious of their waste and bad consuming habits. So cool that you are able to fix up that 1997 civic :) If it still runs, I don't see a reason to trade it in for a new car!
I love your videos! You’re beautiful! Have you seen the channel, “Heal My Life”? Though the girl is into extreme minimalism, her content is quite good and I think you would enjoy it. When I first heard your lovely voice, it reminded me of her voice. You both speak so quietly and peaceful.
Yes I watch her too! Although my minimalism looks so different than hers, her life is inspiring :) Thanks for recommending and also for the huge compliment! I hope to bring so calm and peace into people's day with these videos, so your comment means a lot to me. Thank you so much Yvette.
Thank you for sharing this cuz I’m at the situation that i think they forced me to do something that I don’t want it.. i realize when I’m watching this that isn’t my time is worth it to them? I think its not… thank you

Hi Sophie! Im new to ur channel! Found u just today and started watching every video, can't get enough! I checked and u do not have how I do my make up vid! I like ur style! ❤️ I hope to get a reply!
I live with my boyfriend in his grandmother's old house. Full ok junk and stuff everywhere which I can't even throw away. So after years and years of cleaning and dusting this crap,I discovered the minimalist way of living and oh boy,it's been a revelation. I already threw and gave away so much already (of my stuff only) and there's one problem really bothering me. My mother in law. She laughs and scoffs to my face when I talk about future improvements that I wanna do in my life, about the minimalist way of living. She thinks that anyone is a hoarder, like her. How should I behave with her?
Oh Simona, that is so discouraging. I'm so sorry to hear that. If this helps, I had a similar situation before I moved into my own house. I was living with people who liked to collect stuff. I was always respectful of their stuff and their way of life, never stopped trying to improve my life by decluttering and filtering out the negative things in my life. Do you have your own room? Maybe your room can be your sanctuary where you can practice your minimalist way of living. I hope that you will continue to improve your own life, regardless of what others say and maybe they will be inspired by you one. I hope this helps and good luck!
@@MalamaLife thank you for sharing your life experience with me,it does help some advice Yeah,we live independently, apart from my mother in law. But every time I wanted to bring an improvement in my life, she tried to discourage me. 2 years ago I told her that I want to stop using disposable pads and switch to washables. She laughed and said: "you will use them for the first two months, then you'll throw them away, you'll see." It's been 2 years and it's been the best decision of my life and I'm continuing to sew my own. She's done the same thing with my bio deodorant and all the small but significant things that I tried to improve in my life.
I’ve only been on earth for 12,814 days but I can tell you this. Sometimes the people closest to you, hurt you the most. The weird part is, they sometimes don’t consciously know they are doing it. When you see it and recognize it, as you have described, do your best to stay away from her. You won’t & can’t change another person.
@@justadudeintheworldman.120 since she's helping a lot with building our house (it's her son she's helping, not me),it's not fair to treat her wrong and the only way I found to stop her bullying is to avoid her. It's a bit hard since she lives next door and see her every day. She never misses a chance to bully me. She put me down for so long I for one, know I'm not at fault.
Awww I love Maui! Lived there 23 yrs!! My daughter still lives in Kihei. Maybe you know her? I’ve been trying to practice being minimal it’s. Great adventure.
Oh wow 23 years!! Did you also live in Kihei? I might have ran into her since it's a pretty small community. Thank you for your sweet comment. Much aloha ❤
@@synnacastroman3813 Oh my brother in law lives in Buenos Aires! He said the airport is currently closed? well I hope you take care and I appreciate your support so much.
I will soon be moving in with my best friend. She is a clutterbug who claims to hate clutter, but refuses to give it up. I grew up with a hoarder mom, and I am at the other end of the spectrum-I HATE clutter. I’m having a hard time knowing I’m moving into her house with stuff everywhere. Any tips to deal with it, and maybe how to encourage her to give up some of those completely unnecessary items?
Thanks for the comment Crystal. I'm not an expert by any means but if I can just give you a friendly advice, maybe you could introduce her to minimalism and the benefits of minimalism. Perhaps she might be inspired if she sees your simple approach to life without clutter and hear other people's inspiring stories as well. It's a difficult one because everyone's on their own path, but all you can do is introduce her to this different lifestyle and in the future she might find value in it too.
You shouldn’t move in with someone with the intention of changing them. If you can’t handle that, then don’t move in. With that being said, you do you and lead by example and don’t preach. If you can’t do that, then don’t move in with them.
Hello I'm Steve 😊 I just wanted to say it's alright to take off some of are clothes ,what I'm saying is your home it feels good right okay buy,Steven Juarez
she ranning in a bed room also fallowing I ranning up to touch my bottle , she laugh and shorting extreme , when I catch her , we got good adventure and good feeling so much ,
Hi Malama, thx for sharing. Minimalism should be the result of feeling good. Don't want more than you need. Some people have more than 1 car and think that's great, when in my opinion it's sick. So: feeling good and therefore needing less .. Good luck. Thx again. I have subscribed. 👍💐
Thanks Ralph for joining my community. I have to agree with you. I don't see the need for owning excessive material possessions. It is not helping the environment and also our state of mind. I am much happier living with less :)
1. Clean as you go.
2. Take care of your belongings
3. Learn to say NO
4. Quality over Quantity
5. Minimize to-do-list (draft and prioritize)
Thanks for summing it up

so true. You said it perfectly. I just want to enjoy a simple life with people I love surrounding me 🥰
Most of us have heard of reduce, reuse, recycle. But there is also the idea of "repair, not replace". In the past, people used to "make do and mend" much more so than they do now.
Sadly, a lot of products are now made in such a way that it's cheaper to replace them instead, which just adds to the waste and fuels consumerism. But with a little bit of effort, a lot of things can still be repaired - and you also feel a sense of accomplishment if you manage to do it yourself !

Loved this video so much!
Thank you for watching!!
I've never heard of anyone who loved or thrived in a messy house. That's a new one to me. 🤔
Hi Sophie (I hope I got your name correctly). I've seen some of your videos and they are awesome. Thanks a lot and keep it up. A big hug from the Philippines! Bravo!
Thank you so much for watching the videos! I really appreciate your support :) sending a big hug back from Hawaii.
Hi ☺️ your video really inspired me and also prepares me for this coming 2021.

@Scott Ward Thank you!
very underrated
Awww I love Maui! Lived there 23 yrs!! My daughter still lives in Kihei. Maybe you know her? I’ve been trying to practice being minimal it’s. Great adventure.
Oh wow 23 years!! Did you also live in Kihei? I might have ran into her since it's a pretty small community. Thank you for your sweet comment. Much aloha ❤

That’s inspirational!! Do you have any book about minimalism to recommend?
Thank you Belle! I have them listed on my website www.malama-life.com 😊
Btw u so pretty girl❤
Love this❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much :) I appreciate it so much.
