I’m not hating but he’s not going FULL range of motion. His chin doesn’t go above the bar which is probably why he can’t feel as good of a squeeze at the top than when he does with pull downs and he doesn’t extend his arms at the bottom which is where you get the stretch, which is the most important part of lifting movements. But also sam never was king of rom anyway, not every movement has to be 100% efficient to work you can clearly still get huge without doing things the most efficient way possible.

For instance, yesterday I did 6 which was surprising, difficult af but surprising… but again I used to train for strength as I used to play rugby, so that could be the reason I can still do them at my current weight… but yeah they are in my opinion one of the best workouts that anyone can do.

22 pullus ups strict form. I have been training pull ups tweice or three times a week for the last year. Plus I am really lean so that helps I weigh really little for my height.
Out of those, only seven pull-ups brought his chin over the bar, but not all of them were clean. Only one of those seven included a dead hang at the bottom position (the first rep), but he did not maintain that form throughout all the reps. While he can certainly achieve hypertrophy from these, they are most definitely not clean pull-ups.

All the way up and all the way down, I do one set of pull ups daily and it works wonders. I do not go to absolute failure, but close. Currently at 12 reps max. :) He can't get the "squeeze" at the top, because he can't go to the top, it's simple as that!

9-10 pull-ups going all the way down. 2 muscle ups I don’t lift weights at all I’m a runner. ZERO WEIGHTs maybe once a month just to make sure I haven’t lost muscle. I’m 5ft 8 140lbs I bench 135 4-5times but never had a spotter to try and max. I can do 50-60 pushups no prob. The best part is I run 5miles in under 40 min and I can run 7 miles in under an hour. That’s in 90 plus degree weather. It’s a good feeling knowing it’s hard af to catch me.

More than that per set. And I do 20-25 sets in my leg day superset routine. Squats, pull ups. Dead’s, pull ups. Ham Curls, pull ups. Leg extensions, pull ups. Etc.
We knew Sam can do pull ups, you know with a back that juiced up its impossible that you cannot do a single pull ups. It’s just we didn’t expect he could fully controlling it and even almost extend it to the bottom with a such massive weight.
