I for one so appreciate the fact that you don’t do a full face of glam and have perfect lighting and cameras and stuff, it is so nice to watch someone who is more like me 🥰
I love your style of content, and I totally get you on feeling like there's less UK content creators out there, especially with your vibe. One of your first videos I watched, you dropped an F bomb and I was in hysterics because it was the last thing I was expecting from a craft video. Keep on being you!! Also, loved watching you sort through your DVDs. I'm the same and find it so hard to give away anything!!
I'm actually someone who learned knitting first (at 20) and then learned crochet a few years later 😄 but I never really got into crocheting clothes and knitting is definitely my fave
glad to know we all fall down the knit path 😅 i'm working on a crochet mesh top for a festival later this month! however instead of working on the sleeves i decided it was a great time to try out a knit sweater for the first time and i'm already so in love
really enjoyed listening to you yapping! I am also with you - I am NOT that girl that looks half decent alllllll the time. I so want to start vlogging and recording me crocheting but I will honestly scare the internet! hahahah Also did no know B&M have yarn...will be running there!
I’m honestly here for the long yappy vlogs! Also I just learned how to crochet this year and seems everyone says I should move onto knit, but it’s so intimidating and I just got crochet down. Maybe next year lol
Really enjoying your video style, I hope you just keep going with what works for you. I knit the cold hearts hat after watching you looking through patterns video. My gauge was a bit off so it doesn't fit me - might be a Christmas present for my niece, but it was my first colourwork and it turned out really well. The hood patterns you showed all looked cool too. I need projects to use up all the random 1-2 skeins i have in different colours and you're helping ,e with that. Want to do a stripey jumper too but there's too many decisions to make andnit frazzled my brain.
I tried blocking it. I think it was a combination of using a thinner dk so my gauge was down, and it having all the floats on the back so it can't stretch much. Might try it again in aran on bigger needles, I think that would be fine
I learned to knit at 17, then destroyed my wrist in a horse riding accident at 30 and ended up learning to crochet because it hurt less. I can do both now, but knitting is harder on my arthritis so I mainly crochet now.
I do both still. I learned crochet at 5 and knitting when I was 12. Then started to spin in my 30s because the other weren't weird enough lol. I'm fifty now.
Great video. I enjoy a good yapping video when im working in a crochet project. I was working in a big ole shawl cuz im a big ole gurlie. Lol. What was the name of that app u mentioned? I hve been looking for something to help me keep better track of all my wips.
Vinted also has me in a chokehold😂 You make me want to try knitting again, I learnt how to knit (like just a scarf) when I was a sprog, but now I just crochet and would have no idea where to start with learning how to knit? But your knitting looks beaut, any tips and/or advice on knitting for beginners?
definitely get some chunky yarn and needles and just practice knit stitches over and over and once you think you’ve got it then learn how to purl! you can make so much just knowing those stitches🤩
the one time i recognized someone was wearing something they’d knit themselves out in public (and also not at a knitting related thing) that person turned out to be ozetta in the flesh lmao
For me Petite Knit has been very resistant to going back to her older patterns to make them more size inclusive which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth personally as a plus size knitter who is willing to pay for quality patterns that will actually fit me with doing my own alternating. Her patterns are pretty though. Just another perspective though.
omg i didn’t know this! by the time i got into knitting i think most of her projects had gone up to a 5xl so im definitely going to have a look at her older ones now! thank you for sharing!!🫶🏼
so i am generally a petite knit hater but (and i could be wrong here) i think she has been going back and updating those old patterns, i think she’s just been very quiet about it??? like some of her much older patterns have been at the top of ravelry lately with new photos and those ones end up having a larger size range. though i will say her largest listed bust size is a 59” which is one inch shy of what the craft yarn council recommends, and her actual finished product dimensions aren’t listed on her pattern pages on ravelry which is not super helpful for making an educated decision on whether or not to buy her patterns.
Duuudeeeee knitting podcast are so full of type a, clean girl, minimalist girlies and I'm with you- I just can't be that 😂 I love your realness
i love them but that’s just not me at all☹️🤣
I just got here. I’m in the first 15 seconds but I saw this comment and immediately hit subscribe because I instantly was like YES.
You’ve convinced me to learn to knit as a crochet girly 😂 I LOVE a chatty video. My favorite. It makes me wish my bestie was into fiber arts

thank you !! maybe see if blocking could help with the fit?! i’m also in need of doing smaller projects to eat away at my yarn stash😅

thought i was gonna have to wait longer than this for a new vid 🤭

I also know some other people who feel like you shouldn’t have to pay for extremely simple patterns, such as the Sophie scarf
so i am generally a petite knit hater but (and i could be wrong here) i think she has been going back and updating those old patterns, i think she’s just been very quiet about it??? like some of her much older patterns have been at the top of ravelry lately with new photos and those ones end up having a larger size range. though i will say her largest listed bust size is a 59” which is one inch shy of what the craft yarn council recommends, and her actual finished product dimensions aren’t listed on her pattern pages on ravelry which is not super helpful for making an educated decision on whether or not to buy her patterns.
