Great video! Step by step instructions on how to prep and waterproof your pond/waterfall. I have been searching for how to repair small leaks in the catch basin of pool waterfall, and now I think I can to this job myself! Thanks again for posting this.

Great video, funny that 21,000 other people need to see this... At least I made my own cracks it wasn't a 'professional'

Contractor tip: If you record your repairs, NEVER EVER Criticize the previous work! It may have been a passed on loved one who originally built it (Before youtube).
JUST DESCRIBE WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND HOW YOU'RE DOING IT!
If you cut a "V" groove it's just going to pop out.
I cut a dovetail groove or at least randomize the angles.
I'm only 2 minutes into the video but I use hydraulic cement mIxed up to a thick paste consistency. Push it deep into the (WET) cracks and sometimes even add aluminum mesh to the outside for added bond.
    You barely scratched the cracks!
You just painted it on! THERE IS EVEN A PICTURE ON THE BUCKET SHOWING HOW TO USE IT!!
I hope no one tries doing it this way!
    Hack video!

Question. Cause what you described is what I read about the product and how to use it.. but I want to use it between my pool.. and the bomanoid (pressed cement tiles) theres an opening. Small But I don't want more water to get in there and work its way into damaging the pool..
Do I need to seal the hydraulic cemement? I was planning on trying to squeeze it in with some kimd of a seringe without a needle. And make it a little more watery so it runs in deeper. I don't think I have the room to make a dovetail. But it looks like it is allready naturally shapesld like that.

@@TriMeX1987 I don't think it needs sealing but it couldn't hurt.

Have this exact problem but wondering how long this fix holds up. Looks like previous owner tried the same thing and pond is leaking again. I was told better to just go liner rather than try to patch like this video.

What's the purpose of grinding the cracks further? To ensure the concrete enters the fissure fully?

I think it's going to crack at those places again due to concrete expansion and contraction.
