Hey tj, Im loving the content at the moment and you have been helping me decide on what gear to buy. One question I have is if you could do a review on the burton name dropper
Great content TJ!!! Cant wait to bust out my Goliath this season!!
Bought this for my boyfriend he loved it so much. The boots are a little squeaky but he has to break them in. Board bends very nicely all around great gift for a good price
Again! TJ, you are doing god work🙏🙏
I love the content and your delivery. Keep up the awesome work.
Yewww
I bought my DOA in 207/18 and i love every bit of it. Best board i purchased and for some reason im urging to buy the new one just cuz ol
Ive been rocking the DOA and it is amazing
Just buy the Goliath after I saw your review last year can’t wait for try him…
Love your consistency right now ^_^
On my third Goliath. You actually sold me my first one back in 2017 at Evo. 🤙
The DOA hype is real. Board is KING
@@donwongjohnson3223 oh ok. guess that settles that then. Super convincing 🤡
It’s a bit soft for cruddy conditions
Do you think it’s a decent board for a beginner? I’m looking for something to grow into
Trying to decide on Rome Stale Crewzer & the Capita Navigator. I already have a K2 Party Platter & a Lib Tech Box Knife.
I picked up a Marhar Lumberjack for a do it all board since I like to ride "getting weird" rather than aggressive just one more week healing a broken hand then I'll get to see if I made a good choice.
I have been riding my Solomon PR 500 like forever every time I take it anywhere everyone was like that board is so awesome! It still rides I have had it since 1995 or so lol still ride it with original Solomon boots that I ordered a set of Malamute liners somewhere in the early 2000's! On my 3rd set of bindings just couldn't stand the ratchet boots in the days as every run would be different and get sore spots etc so went to flow bindings been super comfortable ever since and love the ease and on my second pair! I know your probably pissing your pants laughing now! I love the board so much! I ride in the BC Interior lots of Powder light and fluffy and love the trees and going every. Not a park guy but love ripping at high speeds as well! What would you recommend full new set up for my riding? I am 47 and an advanced snowboarder with a few years under my belt! I also want to get a split board please recommend for my style! Much thanks in advance and keep up the great work!
The vids just don’t stop!
I was debating on grabbing the stale crewzer you just made my decision that much easier
dope vid tj
Great vid!! thoughts on t rice pro by lib tech? Been eyeing it for my new do everything board
Love my Suprateam! Just went to a snowboard test event and I came back loving my board even more!
Hey, looking at the same board.. Do you regret buying it in favor of something else? Also how much do you ride pow, and park and how does it do? thanks!
@@SolePompano It is my second board ever and the first I bought myself after I outgrew the first one. I love it very much, after said board test I felt lucky I got it so right without not knowing much about snowboards at the time. It is aggressive, rails turns, charges fast, pops incredibly high (but have to load the camber properly) and it's great for all kinds of jumps. I do not hit rails or other park features. I ride pow whenever I can, and it does not excel: almost twin are true camber are the worst option; setting the bindings back helps a lot but after a week of deepless pow I got so tired in the backleg and frustrated with tomahawks that I bought a pow board and now I have my perfect 2-boards quiver!
@@ammakko sweet man thanks for the reply!
Yesss, I was waiting for the 2022 edition lol
The afterbang on your rail clips is real lol
cant wait to snowboard!!
I love my suprateam, that deck rocks!!
Hey. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the GNU riders choice? I have last year's model and think it would do well on this list. Another awesome video TJ. Have a great safe winter shredding.
Just bought a DOA last night so stoked to try it on the mountain
How was it?
Salomon Assasin is overall great board and would be on this list in my opinion.
ANOTHA ONE? LFG TJ!!!
Awesome video!! Have you ever ridden the Bataleon whatever? And if you have, how does it compare to the Goliath?
Hey TJ! Great video man, I cant decide on DOA/Goliath/Box knife for this season... All Mnt/Free/s + park. WYT??
DOA coming in this week! So stoked
Any chance that u are gonna do a review on the capita indoor survival 2022?
Boards aside….. that frontside shifty with the mute!
Love the doa. Time after time it delivers. Always love the graphic they have also. 🤙🏼
just bought mine can’t wait to ride it
I've had mine on the mountain twice, love it!
The graphic this year is a legit satanic homage to Allister Crowley and I honestly cant fuck with that all.
The graphic is what really drew me to the board I absolutely love it!
@@grease_witherspoon agreed
What about the nitro T1 is that a good board . I’m into all type of riding depending on how I’m feeling that day . Looking at buying my first board
You should try the Salomon Assasin Pro to demo this year
Watched all 2 minutes of that ad for you my boi
Can you make a video for a top-5 butter snowboards?
what do you think I need at 1.90 meter and 86 kg and shoe size 49-50 a 161 cm wide board? or a shorter board?
Can you do a review of the Capita BSOD??
Awesome pick as always. Do you plan to do review on Rome Ravine Select ? Buffed brother of Ravine. Hard to find any review on that one even though it's top Rome model.
Angry snowboarder has a review
What about the lib tech t. Rice pro? Would that fit in this list?
What do you think for the burton process pure pop camber???
Ayeee chapters on the video the best!
How does the Goliath feel in comparison to the Halldor Pro. Specs are similar but Lobster advertises a 5 flex on the Halldor so just wondering if feels more like an Evil Twin?..Great content as always TJ.
What are your stats?height, weight, and board size you ride for park?thinking about grabbing DOA?
How would you compare the Bataleon Goliath (white version you had in a previous video) compared to the Super DOA?
I have the white Goliath and thinking about the Super DOA, just want to compare the stiffness and ride-ability
TJ loving the content man! What do you think about the Lib Tech T Rice Pro?
haven't tested it in quite a while, hope to get an updated review this year
How does the jones mountain twin compare in this list?
Your content was always great but lately you're exploding, thank you
Love my Mercury over the DOA but thats my preference
How to choose between the goliath, doa and burton free thinker? Why is the burton not in this list 😅
Hi TJ, love the videos! I’m looking into buying the Goliath (found a shop that still has one my size). I’m mostly a piste rider hitting sidehits and stuff. On the slower parts, I like to practice my butters but I hear it’s too stiff for flatland. Is that true?
It’s definitely a little stiff for slow speed butters where you might appreciate a flexy board. The Goliath comes through with some solid stability and is on the stiffer side of medium.
When you're setting up your bindings is there a way to know that both your feet are the same distance from the contact points? I normally just measure it with a tape measure, but I feel like there definitely should be some kind of standardized way to tell. I'd assume if you put both bindings in the same spot on their respective side of the board then they'd be the same distance from the contact points on either side, but I've had that not be the case before (very well could've been my mistake though). Essentially what I'm asking is how do you know that your stance is centered and is there an easy way to set it up?
yes there is actually, if you look at the insert packs with no bindings on the board you should see markings. Those are called the reference stance and if you have a true twin setting your bindings up at those points will be centered between the contact points. If your board has a setback then setting them up at the reference stance will be setback that amount closer to the rear contact points. For example the custom has a 12.5mm setback so setting the bindings up at reference will be shifted 12.5mm closer to the tail contact points. Hope that makes sense! I will make a video explaining this.
Also in deep powder it's going to help to set you bindings towards the back
Nitro Suprateam sounds like a legit drag/race team
what was that beat at the end? shazam can't find it :(
it did find it in the end: "Profect - All Out" 🎶🎶
Recommend any flexible park boards for 13 year old
Would you guys say that if I’m willing to put in the work I can make the doa work for me?? I’m on the higher end of beginner I feel like.
Loving the amount of content coming out. Question, I've heard in one of your videos that a softer board is good for less experienced riders. What is the difference between soft, medium and firm boards? From what I understood the firmer boards give more stability.
Initiating basic turns works by using the torsional flex of your board. Stiff boards are harder to control at low speeds because turning is not as easy as with a soft board, hence people recommend using a soft board as a beginner. This however is just general advice, maybe you prefer riding with a stiff board at first. I would also recommend you to use a soft board, but after years of riding I still prefer medium to soft flex board, so my opinion might be biased.
I’d definitely get a softer board if your not super experienced. I ride park and steep black diamond slopes but I still like to ride a board on the softer side of medium. Softer boards are easier to ride and progress on, they’re great in the park and for doing jibs, they’re easier to control and ride a lower speeds and their overall just more fun unless your unless rider that like to hit big jumps and thrash down sketchy and steep terrain. To put it into a sentence: soft for beginners to intermediate riders and stif for advanced aggressive riders.
Also, if you like hitting rails and park features that aren’t of the big jump category then going for a soft board is the right idea
Its definitely easier to turn on a soft board, but it also depends on the camber profile / sidecut radius. I'd reccomend a softer flat/hybrid camber board to learn on, but in the old days people learned on relatively stiff full positive camber boards so it can be done on anything if you want it bad enough.
@@carterw9148 Thank you and everyone else for the helpful replies. I think I'll look at soft/softer medium boards!
Did you get a ride shipment in to test out this year?
Hey, how do you feel about the soloman huck knife pro? Im thinking about picking one up and wanted to know if there are any negitives that i should be worried about.
Hey man, HK Pro is a great board, it's got a ton of pop, very light weight and rides amazing. It's a true twin fully cambered board so obviously doesn't ride pow exceptionally well but if you're looking for a performance park board it's not gonna disappoint. If you're after a "Do It All" board you should check out the Assassin Pro!
Have you had the chance to ride the burton free thinker?
Hi everyone, I need your help to choose my first snowboard. I am 178cm (5'10') and 73kg (160 pounds) with pretty big feet (12US boot), beginner to intermediate rider looking for a board i can learn and progress with. I'd want an all mountain/freestyle board that can be stable at higher speed (nothing crazy) and I can carve with but that is still playful and forgiving (presses etc). I am stuck in the decision between the Yes basic 156 wide and the GNU money 154 wide. Is the YES 156W too big for me? Or is the GNU 154W not as stable as the YES? thank you in advance, I really need your help :)
What are the best websites to get boards from? Backcountry? Buckmans? REI? And is black friday a good time to get good deals on boards and gear?
I like the House and Evo. They have the best deals and sometimes they throw in free stuff.
Fam ?!? Srsly I can’t buy both ;) . What was more comfortable on steep backcountry , Mercury or Suprateam ?
What about the warpig
Totally greetings!
What you think about Bataleon Jam (question from Russia😉)
Great video TJ! What board do you think has more pop, DOA or Goliath?
DOA but it’s close
@@BoardArchive did the board change between the one you are riding in the video and the 2023? I just found a good deal on that model.
I’m coming from a yes basic and now I’d say im starting to become advanced and am hitting 40 ft jumps all day would the doa be a good board?
Hey TJ how you liking the Union Atlas bindings?
they're my personal favorite, I put them on all the boards for the reviews
Do you have snowboard that will make old Skiers stop being stuck up weenies?
Tj, we gotta talk about your love for the doa, its starting to seem obsessive hahahaha
what do you think about the capita super DOA?
check out the review on the channel! its solid
Hi TJ. Don't you like the Jones Mountain Twin??
I haven't tested it since they changed it
What do you think of the Arbor Relapse 2022?
I just rode it today and I’m super impressed with it. Very capable all around freestyle board that isn’t overly aggressive. I’d probably put the Westmark or Iguchi pro on this list and relapse on the freestyle list
@@BoardArchive Sounds great! Hope you had fun! I’m trying to work on my carves this year and I feel like the Relapse was a bad choice for that. Should I return it and get a Capita DOA instead?
Where can I get that sweatshirt?
Was just gonna ask the same thing
Why most of snowboard RUclipsrs don't recommend any Lib Tech boards? I'm new to snowboarding and was just wondering? :)
you kidding me dude? Snowboarders on youtube love the Lib Tech Orca. It's a great board.
Endeavor pioneer needs more love. Small company tho so I get it
Did you ride the Ride Algorythm
These are park boards not all mountain boards.
Custom is an all mountain...so is the Goliath
@@davidnacy1324 yes
I say you never tried Custom
@@RockyMay i have and its definitely not for higher speeds
