I appreciate Fowler. He’s very good at what he does and yet stays grounded, humble and grateful. He and Herby make a great team. The only comp for them is Nessler/Danielson.
Actually… There’s a story of one time he tried to get into AT&T Stadium (coincidentally) without his press pass. When security stopped him, he replied, “Seriously?”. I get it that he’s on TV and thinks everyone should know him, but c’mon man. Don’t make security’s job any harder than it already is. They have to worry about terrorist attacks and stuff, so just wear your freaking press lanyard and follow the rules like a civil human being.
A tweak to the 12 team format...get rid of the home field advantage for the 12 --> 8 round. The advantage was extreme, it was arbitrarily assigned based on subjective rankings, and the visitors were 0-4. There are plenty of other bowl games to place those games into so there's a neutral field for the game.
@Chalk89 The conversation is about the CFP semifinals, one of which was played last night. The lead ESPN play by play man spoke for 5 minutes about James Franklin and didn't talk at all about Notre Dame or give credit to ND. Try to get that metal plate in your head adjusted again, you're in danger of being swallowed up by a trash compactor.
@ it was not about the semifinals and the conversation about Franklin in the beginning was Dan getting a dig in at Brian Kelly for his comments a few seasons ago. Also, Dan literally talked about the game for more than 10-minutes. Sensitive ass fans.
Why bring up Brian Kelly? So Notre Dame get to the first final. They're going to get blown out by Ohio State. They beat a down Georgia with an unproven back up quarterback. And they lost to Northern Illinois. At home.Fowler and Herbstreit call boring games. But at least thank you for calling the young star by his name and not J.J. Smith.
They really need to replace Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstret. There are quite a few commentators that offer much better info and insights without being so incredibly annoying and entitled. Chris in particular is arrogant without the basis for being so. And they need to be punished for pushing the exposed SEC. They've been exposed. They were either incompetent or they were part of the agenda to serve ESPN's financial interests. Either way, replace them.
SEC exposed? Conspiracy theory? Now that everyone has NIL, there is a lot more parity in college football. I guess you aint from the SEC? What got exposed was that the SEC was running NIL long before everyone else $$$$$. So what? Enjoy the game tonight, be sure to turn the sound off so they don’t ruin it for ya.
Saban pointed out that Bama lost to Auburn one year and Bama won the natty. He said no one remembers they lost to Auburn.
Dan, Arlington and Dallas are two different cities. Would you call Oakland San Francisco?
haha my gawd.
It used to be two different cities now they have both grown so much they blend together to one massive city
Umm - Fowler openly said in a game he was calling with Notre Dame that he’s not a “fan” of the school.
Should have asked him about the back n forth with Shannon and Stephen A a few weeks ago
why?
O-H Dan and Chris

Dan can be insufferable but there’s no denying his professionalism.
GO IRISH
The games are to drawn out. Makes it not even interesting anymore
I’ve still watched every game but you’re 100% right… it’s not the same
Keep harping on about Arch Manning. If he really were better then you can be sure he would be starting.
harping? look at you getting al feisty.

Texas didn’t beat ASU
Just checked the score and it appears they did
@@walkerdefaul8487I double-checked.
@@walkerdefaul8487 Correct they won, I said they didn't beat them.
That’s why it’s destiny they win it all 😮

Hardly mentioned the Irish playing in the Natty. Typical ESPN.....
The conversation is with a commentator for the game tonight - it isn’t about Notre Dame.
The elitist ND fans love to be victims.

Brian Kelly one of the most overrated coaches in the country
the interviews are the 2nd worse part of the show behind taking calls.
You’re crazy, but even crazy people get an opinion.
Chris Fowler is The definition of a vanilla interview.

🤣They're commentators. If commentators get you riled up, then it's obvious you're looking for something to complain about.
What are you talking about. You sound like a real weirdo.
You seriously just said, "They need to be punished."
Calm down, Batman.
