Probably the nicest "surfer" van I've ever seen... some very nice carpentry shown. I very much like the bottom slides,I just hope there is a stop on them for runout. The pullout folding table is an idea I intend to steal for my build 😉
Love this but I did notice at about 5:57 that when you were seated at the table there didn't appear to be enough room for you to slide out from behind the table if you needed to get up to leave for a moment then come back. Was that correct or was it simply the angle of the camera?
I also thought that and wondered if one of the off center posts that enable you to slide the table into different positions would be a better option. I also wondered about where the bedding might be stored because the table area did not look comfy for sleeping.
i noticed this as well. since the owner will most likely use this van alone. the area beside the kitchen might be the best choise to put your bed an the other side to sit at the table. also there is the possibility to put the bed up to the side of the van. i saw some stealth RV Sprinters with this option (like a murphy bed).
Another nice build, Can't say it's my taste because it looks unfinished the grain of the plywood is not very uniform and so it get's a bit busy to the eye and the screw holes are very visible. I would have stained it to obtain a more pleasing look. But if the customer ordered it this way then good job. I really like the no nonsense builds that your crew our doing, Keep up the good work.
Drew yung Kwei thanks mate, yeah agree, some people tho request the plain ply, note the walls not lined also, not that uncommon for a customer to request unlined etc, as some people have a sensitivity to materials.. L
Why would drifter show you how to make them. It's there business. I've got 2 different set's of drifter kitchens. There the best camper kitchens buy far.
Great conversion, loads of space saving and storage ideas. Absolutely love the slide out table. Including the 12v set up how much did that conversion cost the customer?
Customer was getting a mattress made to suit - have it made in sections so he can remove the area above the table when he needs to. Custom made mattress’s are very easy to get made.
Ok got ya buddy! Still love the great job. True talent to pull that off. Searching now for some new drawers for my Wrangler JL. My old ones ARB are awsome problem I’d there a tad to big to get into the new JL. Had the seats both out in the 2010 2 door so the arbs fit nicely. Now I have a 4 door bur leaving in one seat in the back and that’s the side I’d like drawers to be on due to sleep room needed. So it’s new drawers I’m looking for now 😊
This video popped up amongst "Scott Brown Carpentry" videos. So I thought this was Carpenter Van video. :-)
Scott brown is way better than this safari guy
Today's date is 4-21-23 . This is awesome. I'm located in Western North Carolina. USA 🇺🇸
Fantastic as always, only thing I would have liked to see would be the rear drawer fronts to be out of one sheet to match the wood grain. Great job.
A tremendous amount of storage!! Well done.
Teflon runners make so much more sense than complicated space wasting metal runners, i did the same on a DIY project before seeing this, great idea
Each has a place. Extension drawer slides will let you access more of the drawer without it falling out of the van.
This is an OUTSTANDING build out! Nice job............
Nice job. suggestion. Clean water can should be blue and the dirty a Grey can. no confusion is best.

Fantastic, I love it
I like the clean look in its simplicity. Great job.
Beautiful work, came out great. Your expertise is showing.
What holds the cabinets in place once heavy with stuff without side rails? I like the teflon tape idea, and better use of drawer space.
The units are all bolted/secured in place.
Where do you put your mattress when your using the table?

The bedding usually consists of 2 cushions that when used as a table are back rests and put below for a bed.
Beautiful work, so clean!
Great Design and Execution
That fit out would be a big hit with cheaper van rental companies.
Love to know lead in time, weight and cost of a set up like this.

Great effort. Quality video. Well done!
3:26 could you do a video explaining how to make the drifted drawers
why would we do that :) -kaito
I have seen people make good copies, they use of a Bunnings yellow plastic strips as a slider.

How big is the bed - length / width? Also is the widest part parallel to the length of the van?
Nice build
Looks awesome mate!

Amazing
If this system gets wet or damp say good bye to easy opening draws. Other than that it looks great
Plywood doesnt expand/shrink much
