I think the latest Master Duel Banlist is really good. It hits all top decks of the last Duelist Cup, like Yubel, Fire King, Snake-Eye, and Tearlaments. Iblee, in particular, was abused in Yubel, as it is easily summoned by Gigantic Spright, which then turns into Spright Elf to lock opp's special summon. However, I regret that Konami chose Iblee instead of Gigantic Spright as their ban choice, as it hurts this deck while they both are used in the same line of Yubel. Let’s be real lock cards have no place in this game. This lock was happening as far back as the resurgence of Cyberse cards. Yubel only abused it the same way every other deck back then abused it but komoney is bringing more attention to it because a meta deck finally joined in on the lock playstyle
Okay but to be fair, Knightmare Iblee is just generally an annoying card, using it for Chaos Max OTK makes it seem funny, but realistically most of the decks that played her was solely to lock you out of special summoning
Chaos max is so badass, funny story me and my friend started with legacy of the duelist back in 2020, I fell in love with blue eyes at first sight so when I found chaos max and it’s awesome effects we honestly thought he was the height of power in yugioh….then we moved to master duel and learned nope he can be beat fairly easy, but still lmao also god I wish I could find somewhere to watch dark side of dimensions in sub, Japanese kaiba sounds so badass

As a voiceless player that duel physically hurt me with how bad that guy played they shouldn't have negated dark hole since it would have let them go +1 while saving their negate for something important then they just never used savuris effect?

Question, even though iblee will be banned are there other cards such as Santa claws that will make Chaos max viable still or does the balance tip more towards Magia now as the main boss monster for BE deck? Appreciate your time 👊
If you really need a way to " ensure " otk, you could use Girsu, it special summons a 0 atk/ 0 def token to your opponent's side of the field It doesn't lock them out of special summoning, but hey, it's another way You would need another way to search it tho If you really need them to be locked from special summoning, you can use the D/D/D Requiem pendulum monster, but it requires you to play Sanctifire Dragon

I believe pendulum summons can also be negated, as can non-chain starting special summons from the hand like Cyber Dragon. Thinking on it, I guess since the Ritual Summon from a Ritual spell is the effect and happens before the chain resolves, meaning Sauravis couldn't stop it. Goddamn Yugioh.

I think it negates inherent summons, so one that are summoned by the cards effect and not one summoned by a spell
