Thanks for making this video I am very happy that I found it. I have owned a 2 door black Toyota Yaris 2008 1.3l manual for several years now..... And today I purchased a 2 door black Toyota echo 2002 1.3l manual, I feel blessed to see this video today I am just now trying to learn about the clutch and the mechanical details of the 2002 Echo, what a cool car hey

All that work and not removing the flywheel and replacing the rear engine main seal is a job halfway done. If you develop a rear main seal leak a few weeks or a cfew months down the line then you will have to take all that apart again just to replace a $5.00 seal.
It's easier to just replace it all at the same time . Thanks

I've been watching the first video in this clutch change series as I dismantle my echo to change the clutch. Today I just removed the gearbox so time to review video#2 - this is my first watch through but I'm sure I'll be back to check it again.

@@PistonShack Piston Shack, Im loving this. How many hours would be reasonable to estimate it would take? 8? 10? Im pretty good with a wrench and you have a great tutorial. Like alot of people I will be doing this in my parking space.... I dont want to find myself short of time.

Well, only one reason if you re-use pressure plate. Some people just replace clutch disk and install old pressure plate if it still in specs. Cheers.
