Thank you for this great video! Very helpful. I appreciate that you showed the locations the whole time, rather than just filming yourselves like so many travel vlogs do.
Excellent. I think that is it. When I was there I believe they had the My o Meu menu on the street and the Afecto menu inside??? Anyway, I’m back there soon and will “investigate” further! Looks like I can always fall back to the restaurant near the train station for my perogies! :-)
We rented a car and we highly recommend this option as public transport is not great to be honest! Google Maps shows all the connections and timetable :)
Hi! This video is so good because you're honest and say what you liked and what you don't recommend! What is the name of the boat company for the boat tour?
I am only finding the location near the train station for the My'oMeu Restaurante. I stumbled upon another one of the same name in the shops area. Does anyone know the address for the is other My'oMeu Restaurante?
If I remember correctly, the owner told us about opening a second branch in a more central location. I think that's the one: maps.app.goo.gl/nXV3D7KaSnFawSNd9
We usually go to the best rated restaurants on Google Maps (above 4.5-4.7), but in Algarve it was not the best approach: there is a lot of British tourists that tend to give really good, usually 5-star reviews for a very a average food
Sorry but I couldn't make out where you suggested we get the boat tour for the Benagil Cave. Can you provide the name of the boat company so I can make a reservation please?
Hi! This video was recorded with iPhone 12 Pro Max! 😉 Before we were using a different camera, but now we completely switched to iPhone, as the quality is comparable
Exactly! We reneted a car and we really recommend this option in Algarve! 😉 It’s not a place where you can easily get around with a public transport. There are some busses but it takes 3 times longer to get everywhere and service is not very frequent. To be honest we even haven’t seen any of them on the roads ☹️
@@TraveLike aye thanks for the the reply I’ve rented a wee fiat for myself it’s actually working out cheaper than if I woulda been taking cabs and ubering. I was hesitant because I’ve had my license since I was 18 but I’m only 22 so they usually charge quite a hefty fee but it wasn’t so bad. Thank you for the recommendations I’m going next weekend and I’m super excited ☺️
Difficult to compare, especially that each of the Canary Islands is completely different :) We visited 2 Canary Islands (new vlog from Fuerteventura coming soon!) and we can definitely say we prefer Gran Canaria over Fuerteventura! It also really depends what you expect from your trip - we would definitely recommend Algarve if you want to see some of the most breathtaking beaches and you are typically going on a beach holiday. Then, Algarve is a perfect place to go. Sadly, beaches in Gran Canaria were quite average, but on the other hand, the island offers very diverse landscape, so it can be more interesting comparing to Algarve (mountains, sand beaches, black volcanic beaches, canyons, desserts, palm trees etc.). We usually prefer to spend summer on the continental Europe, while the Canary Islands are a perfect place to escape the winter, so that is also a thing to consider. When it comes to food, we like Spanish food a little bit more than Portugeese, so here the Canary Islands win!
Yes, the water in the ocean was super cold (in the summer it’s usually between 19-21 °C). This year we were even swimming in the ocean when we were in the Canary Islands in February and it was warmer than in Portugal 😃

You didn't seem thrilled with the food in general so how do you find the good restaurants
We usually go to the best rated restaurants on Google Maps (above 4.5-4.7), but in Algarve it was not the best approach: there is a lot of British tourists that tend to give really good, usually 5-star reviews for a very a average food
does the boat stop in benagil cave ? can you get down to take pictures ?
It only goes into the cave but you can’t get out of the boat.
I love from Bangladesh
Sorry but I couldn't make out where you suggested we get the boat tour for the Benagil Cave. Can you provide the name of the boat company so I can make a reservation please?
Sure! The name was Carvoeiro Tours! 😉
Which month did you visit?
September :)
Hello,

How did you get from Lagos to the caves ? By car? Is it possible with public transport?

Where did you prefer ? Algarve or Canary Islands? :)

was it too cold to swim in September?
Yes, the water in the ocean was super cold (in the summer it’s usually between 19-21 °C). This year we were even swimming in the ocean when we were in the Canary Islands in February and it was warmer than in Portugal 😃
None of those beaches were that appealing
