@@rosiefay7283 the Travel around Art puzzle is divided up into 27 separate 2000 piece bags. With a poster image for each bag. This so to make it a bit easier. I hope they did something similar for this one 😄
I think it’s so much better that it’s one big image, like the last 54,000 one was a lot of pieces in one puzzle but it’s essentially lots of mini puzzles in the photo frames. One huge puzzle is way cooler and more complex I think!
The puzzle looks super interesting and I would def watch Karen complete it, but I hope she doesn't feel pressured to get and complete it, she already works so much on so many projects
@@Vivypips You're right, it could be the ultimate puzzle collab! She could get some of her speed-puzzling friends like Tammy and Yvonne, other RUclipsrs, other puzzle enthusiasts, and of course her sister Katie!!
Hi Karen! The issues with this are the size being too big for most homes and the huge time investment. But, if you can find a way to do it, your viewers will cheer you on. There could be other impressive, options with 30-40K pieces.
well it's divided into 60 bags. So you have to solve a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle 60 times. And I think everyone has enough space to do a 1000 piece puzzle. The sections that are already finished can be stowed away somewhere else
Karen you are so so great at puzzles. I recommend that you get this puzzle so I and others watch you achieve doing it. I've watched you do the 40,000 plus puzzle and it was great even though it took you some time. I love how you sectioned it off in parts tho. Take care Karen I'll be keeping my eyes out to see if you get the itch to do it. Or hopefully you get donated the puzzle to try from Dowdle since you are the official puzzle Queen.
That's actually a really good price... comparing the price to something like LEGO... I'd say it's definitely worth it for anyone with the dedication to build it.
I'm afraid this was useless for me as there are no subtitles for deaf people. No idea what was being said. I've found this with other shorts, no subtitles. Someone did tell me how to get them but I couldn't get it to work.
Actually, the world's largest jigsaw puzzle in the world measures 48'x76'; with 551,232 pieces. The puzzle, which was put together at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City by the students at the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. The 1,600 participating students were divided into 800 teams of two. It took the students 17 hours to first break up the 3,132 sections, each containing 176 pieces, into which the jigsaw puzzle had been divided, and then re-assemble them to create the puzzle. Each piece measured 2,5 cm x 2,5 cm. Many students spent the night in the stadium to ensure that all was in place for a live TV broadcast of the Guinness World Records certificate presentation. The record-breaking puzzle depicted a lotus flower with six petals in symbolic representation of the six areas of knowledge envisaged by the Mindmap study method: human beings, geography, history, culture, education and economy. It broke a Guinness World Record previously set in Singapore of 212,323 pieces which had stood since 2002. This record was set in 2011.
I find Dowdle puzzles to be on the more difficult side because of the way the drawings are made. I have done a few and the images tend to be a bit fuzzier than other brands, and the way he draws mountains, trees, etc. in a more cartooney way makes them harder, IMO.
Rhett and Link just had this on Good Mythical Morning and all the comments were saying how they should have had Karen on the show, and I totally agree!
These giant puzzles are honestly underwhelming because all the ones you've shown have repeated cuts such that they're just multiple smaller puzzles pieced into one. I'd like to see a puzzle of this size with all unique pieces.
I was expecting you to say like it was like $10k at least. 800 is a lot of money but I feel like that's not that bad for something so detailed and complex.
The puzzle was a lot cheaper than I expected but I struggle with a 1000 piece puzzle. No way I could do it. But I can't wait to see the series of you completing it.
With such an amazing puzzle it is unfortunate imo that the map format is the archaic Mercator projection which shows countries further from the equator disproportionately large.
Honestly for a puzzle somethig that big and special, it would be cool if its magnetic and comes with a board for you to do it on, or even hung on the wall and do it standing up or even sitting
$800 isn’t actually all that bad considering that it’s 60,000 pieces which means it’s 0.01¢ per piece while a typical ravensburger 2000 piece puzzle costing $40 is 0.02¢ per piece
I'm not sure if this puzzle is really a 60000 pieces puzzle. In fact, in the box there are 60 bags with 1000 pieces puzzle. Each bag is a separate puzzle, with the normal edges.
Different puzzle manufactorers seem to be vying for the prestige of who can have the largest commercially available puzzle. It's all getting a bit ridiculous now to be honest. Now we're at 60.000 give it 2 years and someone will make a 100.000 piece puzzle. Where does it end? While larger puzzles are a cool novelty most people don't have the room making a single image impractical since finished sections have an partial image that doesn't work without the rest of the puzzle whereas having seperate images making up the sections while more practical is ultimately just a ton of different puzzles that happen to interconnect. In which case why bother and not simply have an exclusive boxset of 20 related puzzles?
800 dollars is actually insanely affordable when you break it down to the amount of hours of enjoyment you would get from it, even just for material costs alone that seems super affordable. I’m honestly considering it
I was guessing $1000. I’m sure it’ll be a small unit count that they can actually sell, so cost would be high. The idea is interesting but who? How? Lol
That puzzle was honestly way cheaper than I expected! Cool that there is a market for novelty items like this to be mass produced
I know. I was expecting a grand. Though that may be closer to the amount with shipping and handling.
Same I had 3000 in mind
@@chubbydinosaur9148 exactly me too

Gofundme? Lol.
That’s only $13.33 per 1000 piece puzzle and we all know we spend more than that on a regular basis 😂
Good point! If they bagged it in 1000-15000 piece bits so I could actually fit it in my apartment I might actually buy it. Lol.

I don't have nearly enough space and time for that but that would have been a childhood dream.
I'd need an army of at least 20 people helping me put it together
It's only $800? Your dream puzzle was what? > $1100? This puzzle is a steal.
Tbh a lot less expensive than I thought! The art alone must have taken foreverrrrrr to design
Only $800 I would have definitely thought around $2,000 like $1,500 to $2,500.
Holy cow that's a lot of pieces!! I think I'd rather do sixty 1,000 piece puzzles instead.
Rhett and Link just had this on Good Mythical Morning and all the comments were saying how they should have had Karen on the show, and I totally agree!
800 dollars for 60 000 piece with so much details is actually quite reasonable in my opinion!

800 isn’t that much for a work of art. I’d spend 800 if I wanted to use up 6 months of continuous puzzling. That’s only 133 bucks a month 😂
Actually a reasonable price for the size. It's like 60 standard puzzles
Honestly enough I was expecting it to cost at least 1,000

If that's only 800€ give it to me rn that's a pretty good deal
I wouldnt dare to build it. But I would watch the heck out of people building it.
as a non puzzler i had wayyy higher expectations that it would be wayy huger and cost at least a million just to manufacture not just $800 to buy
Lego sets go for about that. Would totally buy it if i had a spare house to do it in.

$4k! Woah! 800 is worth it! That’s a massive production to incorporate into their line and only charge $800
$600 if you have costco membership
this is a lot better picture than of the previous record puzzle as it is a coherent picture and not just several pictures put together as a collage

I guessed $100. And no, I will just admire those who finish. So far, 3000 is the biggest we've tried in our home.
I guessed 20k USD, but you might have to spend that much to have a large enough undisturbed space to build it
omg, the design would be torture!
