This is my favorite cab ride out all that i have watched an i think i have seen allmost all of them i must have watched it at least 100 times it is so soothing and I think the speed of the train is right on great job thank u for this video this is the one I refer all of my friends too. Thanks again.
Was für eine tolle Anlage ! Ich konnte mich gar nicht sattsehen . Auch ist sie nicht so "überladen" , wie manch andere . Und die Detailvielfalt , ist wahrhaft SUPER !!!
Took the entire ride, every "mile". Loved every minute! At times I felt as though I was actually there! The other passing and overtaking trains only added to the realism. A very good idea to keep the roof of the building as dark as possible, adding to the "nightime" feeling. I would "ride" again! Fantastic!
Wonderful.... just to maintain is a full time job for several persons.... I’m still watching.... it has great ideias and layout concepts/solutions... it is like to be in school... train school... 😊 Many thanks for sharing! Great Work! Always a pleasure to watch! Thxs!
Fabulous - interesting, relaxing...watched the whole thing. Love these 'Cab ride' videos...even when they go behind the scenes. And I really like the subtle elevation changes and the attention to detail of the layout. Thanks very much for creating/posting this.
Cette vidéo est une pure merveille.......on ne voit pas le temps passer......que de travail pour réaliser ce superbe réseau..Merci pour cet excellent moment...
Absolutely fantastic the cost must have been tremendously expensive to build and the maintenance of the layout wow. 10 out of 10 . . . . looks bigger than a Amazon warehouse !! Thanks
Beautiful view on the layout. I've visited it a few years ago and this video copletes the impression of the layout :-). By the way: I really like the slow speed. Most of the model trains are moving to fast, specially in the curves.
I love the landscaping and do not have a problem with the speed. It is prototypical for sure. You are right, at higher speeds the details are becoming blurs. I have some experience from my own efforts taking cab-ride videos on my own layout. I was most impressed by the track work. The panorama along the walls as a background is well done and really opens up the scenery. The entire layout is very well designed and build, but why is it falling in bad repair in some aspects? I refer mainly to the catenary wire system. There are very few places where it would function as a working power pick-up. It is bent badly and even chopped-up in most places. It would be better to take it out altogether and just leave the masts and cross-arms. Something on the camera car often touched the over-head wire and made it jitter. I was worried it may get hung-up. One other thing that bothered me was the condition of many signals. Where they were red, they were ignored by the camera train and many form signals were bend out of shape. Excellent is the lighting. While the hall is in the dark, the track-work and landscape are well illuminated. I watched it all. Thanks for posting
I do not know the entire history of this model railroad layout. But the maintenance has been neglected in recent years. But for a few months, two technicians are trying to optimize the layout, in particular the catenary.
@@pilentum I am glad to hear it. Are you considering to redo the entire route once he catenary is repaired and optimized? One more suggestion: Please check and improve the side stability of your camera car. It does tend to wobble a bit. It looks like it has only a two point suspension, rather than the required 3 points. It takes away from an otherwise very interesting video. I had the same problem with some of my cab view videos. I fixed it. Have a look at some of my videos.
Four thou... thou... thousand eight hundred meters??? Say what???? ... Wow... 😲 I try to imagine, the length of one meter, two meters, five meters, ten meters, then hundred meters, then... man... 😶 The vastness of its landscape makes it look insanely realistic. The details are gorgeous. In the tunnels, behind the scenes, man, it looks like an alien planet out of a sci-fi fantasy. And the fleet of shining, cigar-shaped UFOs at the night sky. Must be an alien invasion 😉 ... Wait, do I hear the sound of a steamengine? ... A hot air balloon, ey pretty ❤
RUclips just offered this one to me - I love cab rides. I was waiting to get to one of the single-track lines, and was not disappointed. So much effort, time and expense went into building this monster! I'm wondering about the change in which track of a pair the train is on. A lot was on the right-hand track, but some left towards the end. Do different regions in Germany vary in how they run? As a Canuck, I have no experience with anywhere in Europe.
I expected more to see. for example a working containercrane, loading a ship, etc. the overhead cables are desperate, could be better and also working.
That's one hell of a ride. I'd do something with the catenary wire's, the way there all straggly and untidy and when they get caught in the overhead gear of the train is not good. Is there no way to build into the scenery the elevation changes rather than miles of hidden and wasted rail? Even so, it's the train set we all dream of.
You come out of a Tunnel , it look's TOO REAL !!!. Train coming around a bend right at YOU, Lifelike Landscapes , Very VERY well done, almost as if iv'e been there before in a Dream or, another Life.. Tip my Hat, Raise a Glass!! To the One's Made this world POSSIBLE ???. 🚂🚃🚃
I loved it so much. For me some details could be improved, as natural lights, but is amazing. How many people are necessary to control this layout? Thank you very much Pilentum to provide us with this wonderful trip.
What is the black (what looks like air brush or paint) on the rails over several of the track switch locations, and some small section of track? Was it used to help with the restoration and to help fight corrosion. Just my OCD watching all of the millions of things in this wonderful layout.
Absolutely a delightful ride. Although the following items can be easily rectified: badly sloping ramp at one station, gaps in background boards, inconsistent power supply, out of scale figurines, dearth of red/green lights. But the best thing beside the wonderful landscaping is THE LACK OF DASHBOARD BOBBLEHEADS. Every other cab ride is severely ruined by the appearance of a real human head.
Amazing. I watched most of this, but had to be distracted by other things while it was going on. Am I correct in saying that after one hour and 20 minutes this train still has not done one complete circuit of the layout?
Amazing detail! Wonder how long, how many workers, and the cost of such an undertaking! So glad it was saved. On my list to see when I revisit Germany. Thank you!!!
It would be more complete and authentic if the pentagraph was actually in place, not necessarily working but for show in place. I hope I got that right......"Pentagraph" ? (If I am wrong ,will someone please correct me.....) Otherwise, nice work. I notice that no one else cared to mention it, ah well. It is however, understandably difficult to get each and every detail absolutely perfect, in light of that fact, I think it is an outstanding job putting all that together,........this stuff never ends, it keeps going on & on, draining every penny you have just to make something so small appear just "so right". It's awesome........really is. Peace.
Do you know the track " All aboard the night train " ... Eventhough it's not the night, it could work ... So it's BEAUTIFULL ... For sure ... Sorry for my "english" ... FROM FRANCE ...
Cab rides always get me, but yellow dot fever on the timeline sure doesn't... And the camera train runs unnaturally slow - even at 2x normal it seems slow.
From 1:07:01 to 1:07:11 the camera train drives past four parked passenger coaches with 26.4 metres each, so the model speed is roughly 10 meters per second or 36 km per hour. Could be a heavy coal train. The ads are part of the deal.
@@Hallands. For a more relaxed train ride? Or for the sake of originality when displaying the primary German coal and steel region in 1970? There were no high speed trains then. If you want to speed it up nonetheless it should be no problem.
