that's just not true. There are just two kinds of active endings for the verbs, present and perfect. Add one set of passive endings. That's it. You'll have to learn Ancient Greek if you want to sing a little longer. :)
well.. i guess you could sing about how adding "bā" to a 1/2 conjugation verb(that's not irregular or missing it) and adding the personal endings but replacing "ō/o" with "m" and all the exceptions create the imperfect tense.. but... that wouldn't be easy...
Just wanted to say, I am 50 years old and just started teaching myself Latin today from Wheelock and this video has taught me the conjugation rules. Simple as that. I am sure these girls are graduating this year, and I hope Mr U still teaches Latin. Just wanted to tell them all thank you. =)
at my school latin's compulsory and so you'll just here chants of O-s-t-mus-tis-nt/eram-eras-erat-eramus-eratis-erant/BO-BIS-BIT-bimus-bitis-bunt through the corridors and i swear if i didn't know latin i'd assume there was a strange summoning going on
Haha, I know what you mean. When I first started Latin, my teacher taught me to remember how to recognise the imperfect using Barbara the Imperfect Sheep (sheeps say 'baa' and its bam, bas, bat, bamis, batis, bant)
Had to know this by heart when I was 12 and now I'm 15, can tell you are on the right path but you ain't finished yet, is my main subject and I love it
Andres Hernandez Any European School (Not a school in a European country, but a European school, there’s a big difference). I’m learning it in 7th grade.
oussema trabelsi Again I’m not saying a European school as in a school in Europe but as a specific brand of International non-government schools that have branches in Central Europe.
That's only one of all tenses. In Belgium this is first year stuff. My teacher got us singing another song for ind praesens but we had another for the verbs 'esse' en 'velle' and 'nolle' and some others
Well all I did in 8th grade latin was getting very anxious because of my psychopathic latin teacher. I really enjoy latin nowadays because of my new teacher but it was horror back then.
I would know I'm an american, these people are lucky they are able to learn latin I'm teaching it to my self in high school because the only language offered is spanish
not really. depends on which grade you start learning it. Depending on the type of school, it could also be in 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade. ;) (in Germany, I mean)
Im in 5th grade learning latin and watched this for fun but what about imperfect and future Future: Bo,bi,bi,bi,bi bu so bo,bis,bit,bimus,bitis,bunt Imperfect: Bam,Bas Bat Bamus Batis bant Personal/present: o,s,t,mus,tis,nt O/M=i S= you T=he/she/it Mus=We Tis=ya'll/you peepadeeps NT=They/those peepadeeps

That is all cool n stuff,but that is just the present.You guys would have to sing for 2 days straight in order to describe all tenses lol.
that's just not true. There are just two kinds of active endings for the verbs, present and perfect. Add one set of passive endings. That's it. You'll have to learn Ancient Greek if you want to sing a little longer. :)
Imperfect, and pluperfect tense as well.
+Tina Zejewski (nubermini) With Ancient Greek you'd need an hour just for the third declension..

Julian M-B I thought Imperfect was bam bas bat bamus batis bant and pluperfect was eram eras erat eramus eratis erant

So how is it going? Just started Wheelock myself, a few weeks ago.

You're back!! And with a new song.
This is just awesome.
It wonder if you could do another well-known poem like the Catullus 5 one in a future video - that would be huge.
Tis is y'all LOL😂 I just loved the video thanks! Plus it'll help me for the final for sure!
this legit helps me :D tis are awesome! :P

I'm taking a latin test about declensions tomorrow and I have ADHD and didn't pay attention to the declensions at all. This saved me lol thank you
Glad you liked the video! Just so you know, this video isn't about declensions. Check out my declensions 2 and 3 video for some help with those.

Tell me where in the world they teach latin in 8th grade so I can move there.
Andres Hernandez Any European School (Not a school in a European country, but a European school, there’s a big difference). I’m learning it in 7th grade.
@@mitskilvr1394 lol that's bullshit. Most European schools don't teach latin in early grades. They teach it in high schools

i go to founders and we start learning in the 6th, some of our schools are in the U.S.A others, have no idea
That's only one of all tenses. In Belgium this is first year stuff. My teacher got us singing another song for ind praesens but we had another for the verbs 'esse' en 'velle' and 'nolle' and some others
This is generally first year stuff in most countries, including the U.S. it all depends on the school and curriculum you have here, though.
Why not share the songs here, I'm looking for stuff
Thank you! Very cute and inspiring!

verry good.
Rehearsal is your friend.
The challenge to school authorities is to teach the kids how to conjugate in the classroom, and NOT to conjugate on dates.
I am a year 9 and I know that off by heart
I am required to watch this,
Im in 5th grade learning latin and watched this for fun but what about imperfect and future
Future: Bo,bi,bi,bi,bi bu so bo,bis,bit,bimus,bitis,bunt
Imperfect: Bam,Bas Bat Bamus Batis bant
Personal/present: o,s,t,mus,tis,nt
O/M=i
S= you
T=he/she/it
Mus=We
Tis=ya'll/you peepadeeps
NT=They/those peepadeeps
Peepadeeps! Love it. Looks like you are doing great with the verb endings. Keep it up!
Man, I wish my school had a latin teacher.
The chords please
A E F#m D
Ending is B7 A
Thank you
You can also sing it to the tune of jingle bells
If someone needs a song just to learn that then good luck with the rest of the grammar lol.
I don´t get it
haha now make one for each tense.
the prettygirl of the left ;-)
they're like 13
I’d venture more like 16/17, but it’s still weird.
