The blue color on ep3 is just amazing.I have the same car ep1 face silver.i painted grand prix white with white color rims oem and jdm ep3 brakes front seats back,spoiler,steering wheel for the emblem type r number ,km clock bc coilover rear arms and the only one is missing is the k20 🖤
I still see this EP2 getting passed around the EP2 group on facebook, it's also very sad to know that this owner who built it passed away 2 years ago :(
Close family member ended up buying the car and man is it great, think someone modified it in-between though with some random things like interior neon and a painted head cover. Nice vids on the build though

I got an EP3 but with the wheel on the wrong side, so I wanted to transfer all the stuff to EP1. EP1 and EP2 are both D series, so I assume the engine mounts are identical/similar. Are you sure the EP3 mounts do not fit to EP1/EP2 ?

when you buy an ep3 it'll be insured as a 2.0 liter with 200hp where as if you swap a k20 into an ep1 or ep2 you dont have to tell anyone and still have it insured as a 1.4 in the ep1 or 1.6 in an ep2 therefore you pay less for your insurance. but if you get caught and police notices that you swapped your engine without telling anyone you're fucked
Also, did you declare mods to insurance when you first done the swap? Who are you insured with now and how much? Would be a cool video to cover! Any trouble with Police at all too?
+Jay McGreevy the car is fully declared with green light modified car insurance, am paying just over £400 for the year with 4 years no claims and age 23. Never had any troubles with police either

Hi What about coolant temp? how did you do that? the k tuned conversion harness does not have the temperature wire so the coolant temp doesnt work on the dash

Hey bud, if you have the facelift ep2 aka have 5 wheel nuts per alloy the rear are already the same as ep3, as for the fronts you just need ep3 discs and calliper and bom straight bolt on 👌🏻

This sadly turned me right down. Found a 160hp K20A3 for €890 with 94.000 km. And I also have a faint knock at 3k rpm under load on my D16V1 so it would be right to do it, but I think it's not worth it though. Anybody who agrees with my situation? Thought about buying a CL7 Accord with the 155hp K20, selling my EP2.

Ep2 as cheaper to insure and they never made type r in the amazing colour. Was cheaper for me to engine swap a ep2 than buy good ep3 and spray it bud. I have s2000 now so doesn’t matter 😂

Planing on using a 4door 2.0 swap my next ep2 seams way cheeper and is only 40bhp down on the ep3 k20
K20a3 (160 hp one) is so rubbish and slow compared to the legendary K20a2 (200 hp)

They do but you would have to cut old mount and weld new mounts in, I just found it easier to buy these mounts. No cutting or welding required

This ep2 originally had 1.6 - D16V1 you can also get a 1.4 version d14

What spacers did you have on the ep2?? I put 10mm on mine and whenever i went over 70 the steering wheel would vibrate
I had 20mm front and rear bud never had any issues with mine tho
I got my USDM Ep3 for 3000 U.S$$$ comes with the k20A3 160 hp. ! Not bad though
