First, from your post I can see you don't know much about Royal customs, but I can tell you they differ from one family to the next. Cathrine isn't HRH Princess like her mother Elisabeth yet she has never wanted to be one, she had a different priorities in life, she follows her heart, and you can only praise and respect her for that, but Cathrine will always be considered for a princess and addressed that way among her dynasty and all royal dynasties in the world as well.

I am Serbian, and I've noticed you said something very interesting and true in your post about rivalry, just that rivalry comes from Alexander's side. The other side live their lives righteously and with dignity, they don't wait to receive anything neither they lean on their blue blood, that's why I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph.

If there's some sort of rivalry between Alexander's and Paul's kids....tough. Paul's descendants RULE. They're charming, bright, cosmopolitan, versatile. And most of all....BRIGHT and BEAUTIFUL.
I am not a Serb....but if Prince Paul, Elizabeth's father, and Catharine's grandfather, had had his way, the Balkans would definitely be a better place.

... And that king Petar Karadjordjević was not the king of Serbia, than of today non-existent states Yugoslavia. So, only stupid people can "return" some of their property to a dynasty of a non-existent country. And they certainly did not do it because of this dynasty, but for themselves, to "rehabilitate" themselves, because they or their ancestors were servants and followers of the then court of the then dynasty. And they think that they are now somehow important figures and maybe blue blood, because they serve the descendants of the former dynasty. Or simply, they do not know that they are doing anything other than serving someone.
Those who have done their best to rehabilitate the dynasty of a non-existent state should put on the psychological test and punish that they have taken away the property from the Serb people and given false princes and false princesses for use and pleasure.
At that moment, when they fled the country, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia ceased, so their titles fell, they were canceled. And the moment SFR Yugoslavia collapsed, it ceased to exist forever, only then it makes no sense to present Karadjordjevic to the princes and princesses. Those who proclaim as a dynasty are not Serbs, they are enemies and descendants of the enemies of the Serbian people of the state of Serbia, who have done evil for centuries to Serbia and its people.
By the way, Katarina Oxenberg is not, nor can, nor need to be Karadjordjevic! It is logical that she has her father's surname, as well as her husband's surname. This is normal, i.e. the rule in Serbia and the Serbian people, and wider. Their royalty is the big past.
The Karadjordjevic dynasty, after all, did not have a hereditary crown. Unlike the Dynasty Obrenovic, who had a hereditary crown, and none of the members of this royal family is not a prince or a princess. This is rubbish! Catherine Oxenberg does not have right to call herself princess. Hers mother is a princess but she cannot call her children prince or princess. It is no lawful. Princess Elizabeth does not comes from kings family she comes from the brother of kings family. Princess Elizabeth was marrried to Mr Oxenberg. He was not royalty and so Catherine is Miss Catherine Oxenbeg and not princess of anything. Stop this rubbish. Too many people died for monarchy for you to make fun of it.
MrSlomar Exactly, she was born in the USA and her father was a Jew from that country, she is Catherine Oxemberg, Jewish American and not a princess, she doesn’t even speak Serbian.
Her mother indeed is a princess. Yes, a real princess. She is not because of sexist rules that allow titles to be passed through males only. Two of Catherine grandparents were royals.

Catherine Oxenberg nije princeza jer seksistička pravila nisu dozvoljavala ženama da na svoju decu prenose titule. S obzirom da je kruna Jugoslavije sada nepostojeća, pravila o prenošenju titula su zamrznuta u vremenu kada je prestala da postoji.
