I cannot put the burrcarrier back on the rod of the grinder. Feels like the tolerances were too tight. And yes I am aligning the 2 pins with the grooves correctly. I have cleaned the grinder meticulously on the rod and re lubricated with foodgrade lubricant. It quite simply feels impossible to the it back on! It was also really a struggle to get it out initially. Any solutions? Thanks in advance!
@@Bragodo unfortunately no great solution. I forced it on with all my weight. But no good or sustainable solutions from here, I'm sorry. I think Mahlkönig needs to take a look at my grinder, because the dealer I got it from won't answer me... :(. Very frustrating. :(. I'll keep you posted on what will happen. Best regards! And do tell if you get wiser also! :)
@@tierrakaffe I got my Omnia and can't take the burr out. Now, I saw your situation. So did you have a solution? One thing I bought Omnnia is it can be easily cleansing but it doesn't match with its cost........
@MahlkoenigGrinders Are there plans to release a dedicated "Pulling Tool" for the EK-Omnia? Some people are struggling to remove the burr carrier on this model. You’ve already released a similar tool for the EK43 and other grinders, which proves helpful. If a version for the EK-Omnia is planned, could you share when it might be available?
Because of the design of the Omnia alignment along the shaft is excellent. The grinders come at zero but we will release a video soon on how to complete this task.
@@sdmspy I pulled harder than you would when loading an English, medieval longbow. I almost fell when they got off. And then I cleaned the rod, chamber and everything, relubricated the rod and burr-carrier, and now I cannot put it back on the rod again. Seems like the tolerances are way too tight??? :( Any thoughts?
Is burr alignment needed?

Is burr need to calibration?
The grinders come at zero calibration but we will release a video soon on how to complete this task also
Does the grinder come zeroed in from factory? Fine enough for espresso ?
Also is it factory aligned ?

Burrs on my Omnia don’t slide off.. any tips?
I have the same problem. Have you found out?
Me too

Did you find a solution? :(
Did you successfully slide the burr off?
Already loose 4 screw, set to 800 micron but still very hard to open the chamber. Any help ?
Sometimes the front can be tight because the the tolerances. Give it a wiggle as you pull forwards.
Seems like no lubes are required on the shaft and etc like EK43 does, is that right?
It is recommended to use lubricant like the EK43
How do I change it so that the grind is finer for espresso because the grind size 5-0 is still too coarse for me to make espresso?
We will make a video on how to calibrate the Omnia soon. The zero point is adjusted by the 3 silver slotted screws under the faceplate cover.
