Just one of my random ideas to show how it is NOT important how one levels up. THIS IS NOT BASHING OF RANGER VOCATION! I will do NONSENSE BBI playthroughs for every single vocation in the game. Ranger is just the next one in line that follows NONSENSE SORCERER, NONSENSE FIGHTER, NONSENSE MAGICK ARCHER, NONSENSE STRIDER, NONSENSE ASSASSIN and NONSENSE WARRIOR I did previously
This especially goes for first time players. Game should be enjoyed and not taken as chore. First time players will have a lot easier time if they randomly switch vocations to get augments and somewhat balanced stats because they might find them selves to prefer something completely different than they originally envisioned. I know this was the case for me, Assassin sounded so cool... now... my least favorite class of all
This is Ranger leveled up completely against any logic as it has lowest STR possible at level 200. At that point anyone playing as Fighter and then as Assassin achieves higher stat at level 34. And due to how elemental weapons work when you play without pawns, my MAG is completely unused. MAG only applies to weapon enchantments
Main purpose of whole Nonsense Ranger is just to show how weapons are already overpowered enough.
Showcase is complete Bitterblack post Daimon passing through with killing absolutely every enemy there is.
I love how you just get up close and personal with Death. Anytime he gets near me I run like a little hoe to the other side of the map to pew pew him. I have 100% sleep resistance and completely know his telegraph (sleep lantern, swipe), but I'm always paranoid he'll catch me slippin' and reap me. And yes, I am watching every single one of your videos. They get me so amped to go home and play.

As long as you have 100% sleep protection death is not worth mentioning. And even if you don't it is not. Just look at his lantern. Blue light safe, yellow light run.
And there is a trick to running. If you run behind him, he won't move at all. If you run away from him opposite where he is facing, he will be moving forward while slashing

Damn i glad i found this, all this talk about balanced builds made me super confused and i was afraid to lose my save because i didn't know it from the beginning.
I'm doing a 95% Ranger run. And I really like the Crippling arrow, though it doesn't seem to last to long. Corkscrew is very awesome.
I really like Reaper's/Corkscrew combo.
I adore the fact that you keep forgetting that you don't have the ring for the Lv 3 charge equipped xD
wh1sper got me into playing strider and got me to try ranger and fighter. I know love this game even more than I did before I found this channel. I recently had to start over so I am doing the moonbeam gem runs so I can get my two rings and dragons ire as well as grabbing a few dragons glaze to sell so I can get my 10mil back that I had on my old character. Doing the hybrid build because I love playing MK and MA.
Videos like this, almost makes you feel sorry for the enemies...then again does it though? Nah, screw'em ;)
Excellent run, I thought it was both entertaining, and informative. Kudos to you for showcasing the Ranger, and less used skills. Overall I get the impression (I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, nor will it be the last) that at this time in the game's life cycle Striders, Mystic Archers, and Assassins are the preferred bow using/archery type classes. So again, nice to see the Ranger. And of course I'll be checking out the other parts of this for additional gameplay, and knowledge.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you haven't done a "Nonsense Mystic Knight" run yet? If you haven't, I'm thoughly looking forward to that run, and am curious to see if you come up with any really good but under used skills/skill combos. And even if you do not, I'm positive I will be entertained, and learn something new.

Nope, there is a sad thing about Nonsense MK :(
It will require me leveling up to 200 specifically for that and only that playthrough as well as farming gear and weapons. I can't use any of my builds as no matter which one I pick it doesn't feel like Nonsense. My final concensus is leveling up as 1-10 Strider, 11-200 MA. I don't like so much hp and defense as I would get with MK level up.
Combos and things about MK will be featured in my vocation video. Working on 4 of those. Prequel and Sequel to my "Strider vocation after BBI", Sorcerer/Mage and MK vocations
I think you will really see something awesome (or I hope so, usually people get stuck on different parts than I deem as awesome such as it was my Eliminator juggling with Assassin completely hidden my 3x Living Armor fight and this time I suspect it will be Eliminators again) in part 3 of the Ranger where I adapt my Dragonkin 101 from "Strider vocation after BBI" with Ranger

Well, the bow for Ranger increases damage with distance. But, yes it would be really awesome if they gave him at least Implicate
Wouldn't a physical bow instead of elemental be better for ranger since the patch?

Awesome ranger build. I've been trying to figure out a decent build that isn't overkill and now I think I found it. Took me an hour to take down Daimon's second form with an assassin. Seems like I still have a lot to learn about augments and equipment when going through BBI.

Glad you like it. As for augments, you might want Vehemence, Clout and Autonomy.
Okay. I have vehemence but not clout and autnonomy. I haven't maxed the warrior or mage and sorcerer vocations yet so I'll get on that. But so far your guides are very helpful.
Autonomy only works when you play solo and it is assassin augment

Oh okay. I'll give it a try. I'm getting used to how the enemies are laid out and know when and where to expect trouble. So that augment should help.

True, but I tend to hate triple slash way more, from them and Living Armor. Soooooo... slooooooow... If you play class without shield, you almost die from boredom before attack finishes.

How do you get your stamina back after you get a kill?
Getting back stamina is enchantment on lv.2 (trophy bracers) and lv.3 armors (have to have luck in purifying)

Well, trophy bracers are yellow exclusive and only lv.2 armor with that option, so yes they work with MA, but you can only equip them on strider, ranger, MA and assassin
Lv.3 you need correct armor type with correct enchantment. Although, MA can equip shadow/oblivion as well as grave/carrion
I remember when I destroyed the Dark Bishop with tenfold flurry and blast arrows. I wanted to get him back for killing me my first ever run through BBI
Heh, I think everyone can relate to that. Then later you realize that Ranger is actually one of worst vocations in that fight
Agreed but it is still fun as hell to tenfold blast arrow him into bits :3
Not for me, blast arrows is one thing in this game that I avoid like plague.
And for curiosity... contrary to common belief, tenfold with blast arrows is not the fastest Daimon kill. There ia something even faster ;)

Hmmm, mainly keep distance and shoot. I didn't do any fight like that with ranger in my videos, but it is pretty much the same how you would go against him as MA. I have few of those with MA in my playlists
What is instant reset really good for
I don't see it as useful, so I only use it on Ranger which has no usable skills. Main use for me is resetting jumps.
What's the move that people use when they jump off of really high spots and then they dive at the ground really fast and take no fall damage

i know im super late but.
you can negate staggers and knockbacks if timed correctly.
and a good combo with it is if you use a long animation skill (lets say brain splitter)
brain splitter + (just as you hit the ground use insta reset) + quickly use brain splitter again. this removes the standing part and allows you to use another skill again
