as a taller girl I can relate to this. I’m in highschool right now and taller then almost all do the guys. almost all of the guys have made fun of me for my height. I personally like shorter guys too. one of the other things is when other girls make fun of me and talk about how short and cute they are. Im not super skinny either so some days it’s just hard. hopefully some of society will be willing to change there outlook on taller females.

I think its totally fine to have your own taste of boys/girls. I’m 5’9” and my girlfriend and future wife is 5’11”… it’s literally never an issue. It’s a bit of an old fashioned idea that a woman must be shorter.
That idea went away with the creation of pant suits for women

There's nothing like old fashioned, or times have changed. It all goes down to the mind of an individual. I'm 39, 5,10",. and have always had a thing for tall voluptuous women since I was a young boy. My mum a few years ago remarked on how I used to immediately like all her tall lady friends.

Back in the day I dated a girl who was 6’8. Myself 5’8. At that point in time I had never dated anyone taller than me… let alone a foot taller. Lol. But it happened. At first the height difference made her a little uncomfortable. Myself, I had no problem with it. But eventually we figured out things and made adjustments to make both party’s more comfortable with the height difference. But what truly mattered is that we truly loved each other. And in the end height didn’t matter. She loved me and I her. If a person you like or maybe even dating that just so happens to be taller than you and for the life of them they can’t get over your shorter stature. Then they’re not for you. It’s not about height, race, skin color etc. Its about how you see them. It’s about wanting to be near them. Wanting to spend the rest of your life with them. It’s about seeing there soul and gladly wanting to share yours with them. Ain’t no Mountain high enough. Ain’t no valley low enough. Ain’t no river wide enough to keep me from getting to you ;)

@@anthonyt425 In the end we just wanted different things in a different time frame. She wanted a family, which I wanted as well, just at a later moment in time. She was… 22 I think… myself 25 I believe. She was European too and having a big family and having kids early was something she desperately wanted. But I myself was never academic but very entrepreneurial. And at that time I was just beginning my entrepreneurial ways. And I recommended that we not have a family until I was a bit more secure. I mean we deafly could’ve afforded one, but myself, I just felt like I needed a bit more to be secure especially with the economy at that point in time. So yeah. Thankfully we’re still good friends. Both very successful. And still single. So there still could be a chance. Lol.

You can prefer a certain type and be polite about it.
If, in this scenario, she didn’t post about her height on her profile (she’s atypically tall for a woman), the guys could have just said “hey, you’re too tall for me and you might want to add it to your profile because a substantial number of men may feel the same way.” … That’s a polite thing to do.

I'm only 5'5" and this has been explained to me many times, often coldly and sometimes with great cruelty. I even had a tall blind date turn and run at the sight of me. I hope your dating experiences aren't nearly as bad as mine were. It's a plain biological fact that the overwhelming majority of women are naturally attracted to men who are taller than they are. I eventually found mutual attraction and marriage with a woman who is 5'1". Your name and original comment suggest you are quite tall. Hypothetically then, if we were to date, knowing that the odds say you prefer someone considerably taller than me, you would have to convince me you wouldn't just dump me for a taller replacement before I could ever trust you with my fragile heart, and I can't imagine how you could do that within a few years. I should also add that nothing is more attractive than reciprocal attraction, and for that simple reason, smaller women have always been more attractive to me. I have never seen receptive eyes on any woman more than a few inches taller than me, so if I ever would see a pair, I would first be very distrusting of my own perceptions, and then of her motives, sad to say. Believe me. I know how much these facts can hurt if you're still struggling, but not at all, once you've found love, and that is my wish for you.
