Bound with a golden rod. A plant? Goldenrod was used as an " anti-inflammatory properties, which may help to relieve pain and swelling. Goldenrod contains beneficial chemicals, including: Saponins. Saponins have antifungal properties that may help inhibit the growth of harmful yeast." Bear also symbolizes the Healer in a lot of cultures. Love the song. Great job!
Wonderful ....a nicely emotive/ inflective rendition and done in DADGAD too!!! btw... liked the version of "Giant" ...also think y'er friend Bill would do a good job on "Lockeeper".. "nudge nudge, wink wink" his voice seems well suited for such tunes!!! Thanks for the vid..... Avalon/Andrew
We all love this song that was sung so well but we should also acknowledge that Stan was not the composer. Does anybody know the name of the guy that wrote it?
Thanks for reminding me. I have one of Stan's song books with "The Witch of Westmorland" and it includes a letter he got from Archie when he was planning to record the song. I still have the book... but I don't know where I put it. :{
While we are giving credit where credit is due to Archie Fisher, let's get the title right: Witch of the West-mer-lands. This singer made me feel every word.
sounds just like Stan. He did the song proud!
One of the best versions I’ve heard

Awsome rendition. Love this and the one done by Small Glorys
Damn... I live in San Diego. Sounds like Bill lives in Toronto. I'm a big Stan Rogers fan. Bill really covers him well!
Doing Stan proud sir!
He sings it like he wrote it himself and like a testament to Stan. So well done.
Listen to the end....Not written by Stan Roger's
Outstanding.

OK, never mind my question, I should have looked at the comments first, lol, he's in DADGAD, that's what I was wondering🥰

He does an awesome version of the Lock Keeper, and did it in the first set that night...sadly, before I started taping.
Great rendition, he's got a lovely voice🥰 Is he in an alternate tuning?

Archie Fisher wrote the original song...Bill says his name at the end.

This singer made me feel every word.
Archie Fisher also wrote a lesser known sequel for the waybacks called “the return”
You're good, you.
Lame reaction for such a great preformance.
