With those stats, it would actually be a menace in arena. The pirate crab might not have done much in constructed, but it sure ate alot of pirates in arena.

I think flappy bird is an important piece of the metagame. We need more cards that encourage mindless smorc game play and increase the impact of luck on the game outcome.

I feel like the last one might have been a sniper. Since he played the mirror entity before the flappy (maybe just luck) but the fact that he somehow played around big game hunter is weird. To not get a single attack buff for 4 adaptations is weird and to not pick it is also weird

BananaDynasty hahah maybe. I just find it very weird to not get an attack buff but it's possible. And usually people take it since they are greedy and it's arena. But yeah it's not a possibility since it's possible not to get an attack buff just unusual or unlucky
He chose attack buff @ 9:38 there's just no reason to ramp it past 6 unless you have lethal.

It was 100% snipe. He topdecked frostbolt on turn 2, but chose to *coin* mirror entity instead of frostbolting golakka. When is that ever a good play, unless you know that your opponent plays flappy bird next turn? Then he seems to play around BGH entire time.

I'm not 100% convinced that Mage wasn't sniping but why frost bolt when you can coin mirror entity and then hit the void walker and have a 3-2 minion against the crab seems like the right play to me

Actually, if Blizzard put out a patch *tomorrow* saying that Vicious Fledgling was promoted to Legendary status, I would not be surprised. People could even dust their second copy to get apology dust from Blizzard.

The decrease in deck quality is a result of the (horrible) synergy changes they made to arena, look it up it's pretty big yet unnoticed

Kripp, what would you think of making flappy Bird a 3/2 or a 2/2? Imo giving it 2 health would weaken it a lot as it makes more spells and more 2 drops able to kill it before it can get a chance to attack.

Mage stream sniped. Knew you'd play flappy bird turn 3 so he coined out mirror entity (something you would literally never do) and saved frostbolt instead for your flappy instead. 100% snipe.
FlyingRep or MAYBE people just try their luck as it's arena ....

Actually the coin mirror entity play was correct. Having your (fucking overpowered btw) 1 drop be a 3 attack minion that trades for the opponent's 1 drop and 2 drop AND tempo out a Warlock with Mirror Entity knowing you can probably clear away his copy of whichever 3 drop he plays is WAY BETTER than killing a 2 drop with frostbolt and leaving a 1/1 taunt to maybe get an attack boost and kill your mana wymn.
Rest of the game is perfectly clean. Mage got sick top decks to keep his fledgling alive. By the time he might have chosen to push it over 7 attack, the warlock was at 5 health vs mage anyway, so boosting the resilience of fledgling to make sure it doesn't die and delivers the final blow is more logical. Even if Kripp had triggered the BGH, it was still a lost due to the presence of another minion with 5 attack anyway.
So no. I don't think Kripp got sniped, especially not a 5/2. And sniper or no sniper, HE threw away the game by playing fledgling into an untested secret.
No kripp one hundred percent got sniped. We dont know what the other two cards in his starting hand were, but frostbolt and mana wyrm were one of the four. Mirror Entity was his first draw.
This game is absolutely loaded with shitty minions with a good battlecry on them, and most of them are early game cards. Putting out an early mage secret is terrible because you get no value from them. At most you negate a super cheap spell (that will most likely cost less than the secret) or get a bad minion.
Using frostbolt to kill the gollakka crawler and holding your attack is the right play. Because next turn, you can finish the super low threat voidwalker with a ping and attack, or use your mirror entity on turn 3. When your opponent is on turn four, forcing them to lose mana efficiency by playing around your secret would be fantastic, as your opponent would have to be really lucky to have a 1 or 2 cost minion thats worth throwing away, AND having another card in hand to still have tempo after playing a shitty card.
Coining out a mage secret on turn 3 is terrible, because most 3 drops in arena (apart from bird) are very bad and not picked often, and for good reason: You can play a two drop on turn 3, but not a 3 drop on turn 2. So unless you get extremely lucky (which you would never shoot for when at 2 losses) you're going to get a shit minion and lose out on your last turn.
Boosting the health of the fledgeling did not matter. At such low health, warlock loses his hero power and mage has many many direct damage spells. Considering she drew 2 frostbolts, I wouldnt be surprised they had more damage. Buffing the minions health was pointless, as it already had divine shield and 'cant be targeted' effect, which means that he would need nothing short of hellfire to kill off this minion, which would lower his own health by 2. He knew kripp had BGH so he didn't buff the attack.
There are two options here. Either this dude is insanely dumb but insanely lucky. I dont know if you know how arena works, but if you're lucky enough to make up for your shit play, you wont be at 5/2. Youll be at 7/0. Arena is largely RNG based. This dude is obviously not dumb then. Or, he sniped kripp, and considering that kripp gets sniped unfairly, and more than any other streamer, this is not unlikely.

Matthew Powell I agree with the rest but that one is just bs, most people that don't want to be at the mercy of 3 health would have picked those choices aswell, regardless of 3 extra attack being an option.

I've noticed too how much worse the average arena deck has gotten. I think it's the synergy picks at the beginning that really screw things up.

tfw kripp doesnt take untargetable on one turn when hes got windfurry, just play safe you only have to take the spell immunity once. pass on the +3 attack especially when you dont have another attack that turn.

Even if the occurrence of Flappy Bird goes down 50%, as you climb rank you face better and better decks ... so you should still see plenty of this card in the decks that are winning. It's like looking at legendary occurrence in decks that are 7-0 or better. The reason they are doing so well is because these are the decks WITH the busted cards.
Nerfing occurrence should save you in the early stages of Arena, but as you progress you are now facing the decks that managed to draft busted cards like this and hero cards. If you don't have them you are at more of a disadvantage than you likely once were in the later stages of Arena, because chances are if someone made it far into a run their deck has got the nuts.

I never understood why this card wasn't just set up so that if it hit face, it would adapt, but only the first time, and then not again... you can get a 3 mana 3/6 or a stealthed 3/3 or a poisonous 3/3.....still seems pretty relevant. They could've even made it a 3 mana 3/4 that adapts once, still would've been ok
