This Sushi bar technology is amazing! Panerai is amazing
I enjoyed all three videos. Hodinkee does a good job but for some reason seems to attract the most negative people in the world of horology. If it has a date window they will complain. If it’s small they will call it a girl’s watch. If it’s larger they will say it’s a hockey puck. Who are these people that spend their time watching videos of things they don’t like?
I've noticed it too. Quite a lot of smug self entitled people leaving droppings everywhere.
This series is really great. As a Panerai lover I'm really diggin it.
I'm a year late and loved all three. 😀
I really don't understand all the hate for Panerai. I own several other brands but I friggin love my Pam! I think they make awesome watches!
people that don't get it just don't get it. I never was a pam fan but became a convert after i saw the 42mm submersible, it's a quirky watch but in a good way
Mostly spaghetti handed people bitch about how it's too big and fugly. And other snobs are just following the mainstream hate train. When I just got into watches I hated Hublot, RM, Rolex and Panerai just because everyone else did. And loved PP and AP. As I learned and tried out more options my opinion changed drastically. I now love the brands I hated, and learned that despite being a great watchmakers I don't really like PP, AP, JLC, VC. It's cool to look at them, but I can't see myself spending a fortune on any.
I am not a big fan of Panerai, but i enjoyed the video series anyway - good job Hodinkee...
Panerai bashing is a stress relief activity on forums and the comments section 😂 I think people really have to put the effort and go to a Panerai store and try them on..they do make SMALL watches (even under 40mm) and also Luminor in 40mm and 42mm.
I bet they'd be amazed by the quality of their latest offerings. They really did step up their game.
Just like the AP RO they have a very distinctive design appeal IMO. You can spot one from 30 feet.
OctopusMimesis The Panerai Due is a dress watch with Panerai design cues....AP have dress watches with 20m water resistance..even a Breitling Navitimer (i.e., a SPORTS Watch) has WR at 30m.
the bashers probably prefer to put their names on a wait list for a certain brand for 5 years lol or pay much more from the grey dealer market than a new one at an AD when in reality we know the market is hyped up and rigged lol
*I'd have absolutely **_loved_** a tour of the OFFICINE PANERAI complex! . . . .*
honestly too much hate on Hodinkee. how you think this channel is pumping out quality content time and again? paid by your useless, free comments? lol grow up yall
I can see many of the staff prefer the Radiomir over the Luminor..
Again?!?! Wow, they must really be paying you a mint!
Big Panerai fan. Need Radimor ST 44mm 10 days automatic please
Okay, I will buy one. Thank you.
Multidial design is great. I love quality watches.
that sushi bar is interesting
What is the name of the music?
Definitely impressive.
Lovely videos. But working at those “sushi bar” work stations must be hell. (Insert “Ahh the days when one watchmaker made one watch” here)
I l❤️ove PANERAI🥇
Il semble que HODINKEE soit maintenant dirigé, non plus par l’amour de l’horlogerie, mais bien par l’amour de l’argent ... vous cachez de moins en moins bien votre jeu !
Making a "documentary" about an "icon " in three episodes, that each take lesser time it takes to make an ordinary ham/cheese sandwich is an absolute disgrace...
Panerai- a perfect balance of masculine, history, and cheesyness.
...and you thought that only 2 parts were enough? For the sake of disclosure and transparency, how much did Hodinkee get for this 3 part advertisement?
golfbuddy1969 do you know they have employees ? Do you know what an entreprise do ? Making money ! And this 3 part ads is very cool, I know it’s advertising but it was entertaining and I learn more about a manufacture that I didn’t know very much. All of the newspaper does the same, all the watch blogs does the same. Hodinkee, keep up the good job.
Alex Alex so it isn’t that they have employees, or need to make money, it’s that you like it. So be honest about it. Second, they should be honest and have to disclose that it is an advertisement. Even lawyers disclose it when it is an advertisement...If they’re did that, I’d have no problem with it. “Keep up the good job” says the sheep.
golfbuddy1969 maybe it’s not ? And so what ? I can believe you don’t enjoyed the series. This is good quality video nonetheless. There is a lot of original content in hodinkee.com, ads are maybe 10% of their content. If you don’t like, put a dislike and move on. I thought Americans were ok with businesses...
Alex Alex Americans like HONEST business, I’m indeed a capitalist! And my comment isn’t just about this 3 part series only, but their videos as a whole, have been terrible lately. Way below standards. And yes most of their content is good, but online, you know when you’re looking at an advertisement and when you aren’t. But if you like it, what can I say? Have a great afternoon.
golfbuddy1969 actually it’s the night here ahah. Have a great day you too.
The title of this video is an oxymoron.
Too big too expensive too hyped
Rolex sports is too expensive and too hyped
i think you got the wrong brand mate, panerai was hyped up in the 2000s but not anymore, the hyped brand is the one that costs more in the grey market than a new one at an AD lol
😄
wait..People still buy Panerai?
Yeah men...not soy boys
Ummmm watches
Hockey puck size. But impressive since Panerai has created their own movement. Imagine selling a watch at a premium of 5 times the price of a Tissot with the same movement inside.
No..Panerai have been 100% in house for 3 years.
@@algorithm007ify actually more than that, the p9000 has been around for more than 10 years
Tissot is using little to no changes to the stock movement. Luxury brands apply decoration, finishing, add complications and partially replace it. Also the watch overall is on another level. That's why the price is higher.
yuck
