While listening this concert recording what struck me is the class and beauty of 22 years young maestro violin accompaniment of A.Kanyakumari. No wonder MLV said to have waited for her to achieve grade A, a prerequisite for AIR contract for NP-accompaniment to MLV for AIR NP recording.
Direct incarnation of godess saraswati.what can anyone say more than this.vidwat poorna enchanting music soothing to ears and heart.we were blessed that she stayed with us during her concert in mysore
Nobody can be compared with Dr. Mlv. If at all., it is only with Mlv. Herself. Such a marvellous singer kanyakumari was most. Suitable vilonalist to accompany Mlv.

How lucky are the people that got to see this concert live!!!! The imagination, brigas, speed of swara prasthara, voice, energy is parallel to none!! I don't think there is anyone today that can match the brilliance, manodharma or vidwat of MLV amma!!

Presently most of Vidwans and Vidhushis lacks the Calibre and simplicity of Carnatic Women Trinity, Radha Jayalakshmi etc. of olden days. But bandha, jewellery, make up, crow catching, self promotion. etc. of them rules the day. Our system is now become secondary.
What a beautiful voice. Thoroughly enjoyed my first full concert of MLV. Seems like this might have been her peak the manodharma combined with that voice is magical. Thank you much for the upload!
The virutham before Baro Krishnayya is so subtle and beautiful. Highly creative phrases in hamsanandi and maand esp. I think Ranjani Gayatri in one of their presentations on virutham singing used this particular one by MLV to highlight how to construct a good virutham.
Sriram Cm thank you sir. I’m working on it. There are many tapes in India with my grandmother of concerts recorded by my father 30 years back. It may be a few months before I get them. However I am thinking about posting interviews with my grandmother about concert experiences 60 years ago.

Sriram Cm it is quite simple sir. You will need a cassette player. You will also need a software called audacity. There are many RUclips tutorials about how to connect the cassette player to a computer with audacity. After that you can digitize a tape to audacity and then export it as an mp3. You can only clean it up as audacity has a variety of options. This is a very brief description so If you have a problem with anything regarding the digitizing process sir please comment here and I will answer. Thank you.

Check out the MLV recordings at Nadabringha in the 60s. Peak MLV was a force of nature.
