    Aquarium medications can be really hard to find in Australia, so this video was super helpful Blake :)

    I'm definitely a salt user.
    Also I think it comes back to a good balance of nature in your aquarium. I don't do sterile tanks, I let them get mulm and critters. You have to be tough to live in my tanks.

    Fenbendazole is a god send for planaria in shrimp tanks. I must have wasted 100s on products like ‘no planaria’ which did nothing. Salt is by the far the cheapest and overall best solution - especially for quarantining fish. I am still jealous of the US and their access to proper meds. Great episode.

    • @BlakesAquatics
      @BlakesAquatics  Год назад +2

      I agree.. planaria zero and no planaria are so expensive and take forever to arrive if you can find some in stock at all. Fenbendazole is so mich easier (also the other products use betel nut extract which there is some shady stuff out there on affects to humans)

    5:30 Hi Blake, your routine was what managed to finally cure my fish of internal parasites! I had praziquantel and levamisole available (the same brands as in this video!) but there was so much conflicting information online it was hard to know what routine to try. I've been dealing with parasites for 6 months now and most of my fish had died. Using both meds, I did a 25% gravel siphon every day for a week and re-dosed medicine every 48 hours, as per your video's instructions. By the 5th day of treatment, all of my fish were recovered! So thank you, Blake. This video helped save my 12 remaining fish, all in one week.

    • @BlakesAquatics

      Hey mate its very stressful to do that. Id suggest starting with what is most serious. Fin rot and sunken bellies arent things that kill fish overnight so if it was me id do a big waterchange, start to treat the most serious thing, make sure thats sorted then move on to the next
