I wonder sometimes How is this even possible , seems like the m8 is unprecedented device historically. Your work on it is exceptional

There are some super talented people using the M8.
If you have one, I can share the bundle for this song

I dig it! Sick break chopping. I like how you get your snares rolling. Is that a bit of velocity play? I’m getting a 4 pad drum pad for Christmas that I can do midi with and use my hands/drumsticks on. I’m planning to do some crazy rolls/breaks with that thing 😊

Sounds good. Share me anything you make.
Yeah, there's some velocity. I think it sounds better if you're doing rolls to have them gradually decrease in velocity. Rolls are quite abrasive if they're at the same constant velocity. Which is good when you want that but not for general flow.
Also, I'd have your roll start at a slightly lower velocity than your main snare, then also gradually decrease in volume. If the roll starts at the same velocity as your main snare then again, I find it sounds a bit abrasive.
Final thing.... if you listen to this song on headphones. It's two breaks. One panned half left. One panned half right. I think this helps both breaks come through clearer.

@@nickyspacebum that’s neat! Thanks for sharing 😀 I’m new to making jungle stuff but I post everything on my channel and have been having a ton of fun with it 😊❤️ I like to find samples from games/tv shows I like and chop them into the songs
