This is a performance that really showcases that Kiss were actual musicians, and could actually play. It wasn't all about the face paint. Too bad it couldn't have stayed this way, because all four original members were absolutely on fire on this night.

This performance was peak KISS. They were never better than this. Sure other lineups had more technical skill, and Gene's voice was better in his youth, but in terms of just the overall KISS experience, this show is the zenith.

Meh, Peter's bass drum sounds clicky and like the mallet is hitting a slab of meat, can barely hear the crash cymbals. He should've kept using pearl kits at least.

T2Tiberious this is pathetic you blame this on Gene. First of all, Stanley is in charge of all things Kiss. So there’s your first inaccuracy. And Ace will be on this tour at some point. Likely the final few shows. Be patient.
peryk2 Peter wasn’t fired. His contract wasn’t renewed. Ace came back and did some shows with Eric Singer before he departed. He just didn’t want to do the Australia show due to a contract issue. It’s a great trivia question. Kiss in makeup did in fact have Criss with Thayer and Ace with Singer. And don’t get me started on psycho circus which was mostly Thayer and Kulick on lead guitar. Just like the old days when Ace and Peter never showed up to record. History repeated itself and that’s why they are gone. Funny how ppl say shit about Singer and Thayer but when money came into play Ace and Peter had no problem playing with those guys. And Ace had no issue of Thayer and Kulick playing lead on psycho circus. And expect Ace to play with Singer again at the end of the this tour because Peter likely isn’t in any shape to do any shows at all.

I love how pissed Gene is when Ace started to play Dr Love haha. (12:47 "asshole"). They were supposed to only play Rock n Roll All Nite to close the MTV awards but decided to give a small show for the crowd, Gene sounds a little bit ill, he probably had a cold... notice how at the end they're basically leaving and then "choosing" at the spot to go with NY Groove, nothing planned.
This should be the goodbye!!!! on the top!!! and the world would say WHY they don`t play anymore???? but i love Kiss forever. but the way the snare sound is amazing, it is like a machine gun. Great Peter Criss
2 days after all of Vancouver Island came over for Kiss in Vancouver... opening band Stabbing Westward lasted 1 song and were drowned out with " WE WANT KISS " EPIC SHOW EPIC CROWD :)
Saw ace and Peter on their Bad Boys of Kiss club tour....man both had their own bands and played some great stuff,and we all knew the classic Kiss songs so when the two got together, the magic was back,and we fans knew it...bring on the reunion tour and we fans were gassed to see the four original members back together on stage in full makeup and just kicking ass and making the fans happy.
Maybe it's just me, but after seeing KISS, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Rush and Pink Floyd. I could go on, but I feel like bands today just can't compare and aren't as talented. These bands were entertaining. Today bands seem like they repeat a phrase way too much. But it's hard to compare to KISS. This is a band that I believe truly appreciates their fans.
I found out today that at every show Paul Stanley will take this one guitar and play it for a song or half a song and you can purchase it for eighteen thousand dollars and an extra three thousand for the strap at a total of twenty one thousand dollars. This is not a joke. I was listening to an Eddie Trunk podcast

Does Kiss charge a lot for merchandise and such. Yes, no doubt. They are one of the most iconic bands around with fans all over the world. When you consider the millions people pay for memorabilia, 21k is actually cheap. Think about how much that guitar will be worth possibly in the future. I've seen kiss members give their time and merchandise to kids, cancer victims and others. Gene Simmons flew to a child with cancer with tons of stuff and spent the day with him. He did that in the middle of a tour. Then flew back to perform that night.
I'm very realistic about the damage, both residual and acute, of alcoholism and drug abuse. But Gene's allegations that Peter couldn't play drums anymore around the time of this reunion tour seem to be unfounded. Peter was on fire here. His meter was as close to the best it ever had been, and there was no in-ear monitors with click tracks back then. I understand the demands of full shows might have weighed on him over time, given his older age, but he could clearly play.
I heard Gene was ill and was having issues with his singing during the Brooklyn Bridge show and was probably expecting a break from lead signing after they played "Duece". Then that was ruined and it looks like his mouth was saying "f--- you" at Ace when he started playing Calling Dr. Love.
I though t this is where Paul got mad at Peter for playing something poorly during Rock N Roll All Nite but I can't spot the error, any one know what he's talking about or is he just being crazy finger pointing Paul?
Linus Hogbring or any other show. Watch the DVDs. Criss fucked up nearly every single one of them. He wasn’t a great drummer no matter what fans think. He keeps the beat does nothing special. Perfect for a jazz room.
