  • Adding a CISS to the Epson WF-4734. The LOOOONG way. Very happy with the end result. This method should also work with the WF-4730 and WF-4740. I used the same concept as BCH technologies.
    • Add Ink Tank: Epson WF...
    except I'm using cartridges instead of dampers.
    Thanks for watching.

    I converted my wf-4730 by following this video in great detail. I ran into a technical problem which was not addressed in this video. I ordered the exact self priming ink tank from the link provided. The magenta and yellow self priming tanks are incorrectly switched, backwards with their respective color labelings. This creates a problem when you connect the end of the tubes to the cartridges as the designations for each cartridge position by color, namely magenta and yellow are reversed on the printer carriage. To overcome this during priming of the cartridges. I had to put the yellow cartridge in the magenta position and the magenta cartridge in the yellow position which causes an overlap in the two center tubing's of the ink ribbon, resulting in a slight bulge and the tubes will not lie flat on the top of the cartridges. There is very little space tolerance when the top of the printer is closed. The inside of the top is just about touching the bulged ink tubes. Those of you attempting this be aware of the color designations for the yellow and magenta orientations so the ribbon tubes will line up correctly. Easiest correction is to switch the yellow and magenta color designations prior to starting within the self priming tanks upon receipt as they are backwards when they come from the seller.

    Thank you for these videos. I was able to convert.
    Question: what paper settings do you use to print?

    This is excellent work! I have a very similar printer, the WF-4834, so this is why I looked at your video. The cartdridges are different thougfh. Would you know if this mod would work with the WF-4834?

    • @McZell
      @McZell  3 года назад

      No the 4834 is the newer generation printer. Those can not use a CISS yet. Not until there is a chipless firmware for them

    I have a question, can you do sublimation with the WF 3820 or do you need to convert it first.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    So the one you have in your website (shipless) is what I need for rosin wf 4734. I was able to locate one for $99 I want to be sure before I purchased it. And can I make shirts for kids with it?

    • @McZell
      @McZell  4 года назад

      You would need the 802xl refillable cartridges and install chipless firmware on your printer.

      I thought we changed the titles. The 4740 can not be used.
      Contact me via the website and I'll make sure you get your refund. Thanks.

      They don't have a chipless firmware for the 4740. So you won't be able to do it with that. Keep an eye on the clearance section on Epsons website. They have the 4734 on there now for $80

      I just checked check they have the empties like u but I dont understand are they chipless or I just can't let them run low before triggering the printer warning indicator?

    • @McZell
      @McZell  4 года назад

      @@vibingwithredd4540 you can't use them at all if you have a 4740. Because they only work with printers running chipless firmware. The cartridges have no chips at all. So they.wont be recognized when you insert them into the printer.
