What does the black thing covering up the hole in the acoustic do, is it to make it sound more like an electric guitar or what? Appreciate any replys and if you know the name of them that'd be great :)
Come on folks, The Smiths aren't so sacred people can't cover their songs. Although it's quite clear these guys didn't rehearse enough. The Radiohead cover of Headmaster Ritual is great I think.

@LFCfan1993LFC It's a resonance dampener, and it's to prevent your guitar from suffering feedback when you're playing it onstage. It doesn't do anything good for its tonal qualities though, so unless you're a gigging musician, don't bother.
