I use Japanese sakura cherrywood block 11x16 cm, pottery round turntable, and Japanese cutting knives.I tested the limits of lines and smaller details. There will be no prints for sale. The story behind this image is a vintage Latvian movie scene where little guy Sprīdītis, takes down the devil.

It is incredibly inspiring and the time and care you put into your work really comes across in these tranquil videos. Please never stop posting for us.. We will be ordering prints soon.
Thrilled to see you doing woodcut. I have a feeling that we might see a Japanese woodcut someday. ^^
Amazing job! Very inspiring. Thank you!

This theme reminds me of some arthurian legend some medieval myth and it feels good it hits properly feels quite like when borders between fantasy and reality arent so solid i personally love mythological themes very good and very precise in terms of technic i love it

Beautiful mate! I think I get it. Your work is probably close to meditation. The focus and purpose overwhelm; it's evident in your work technique that it's a place of peace. Keep up the good work.

wow, it's an amazing work, I like it!
Absolutely stunning!
The tiny details are amazing. You must have eyes like a hawk! I've seen wood carvers use metal stamps for texturing pieces. It wouldn't work for lino (I don't think) but maybe it would for woodblock prints. Like a stamp for your autograph or something.
Phenomenal work, love all the detail and appreciate all the time you took into making this work and video!
nning. A real pleasure to watch. Thankyou.
No words!!! Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic! So beautiful.
Sensational. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much for these videos - they are so peaceful and really motivate me to do my own art!! Always love watching them. Do you use woodcutting materials for your lino pieces too?
I use exactly the same tools as I'm carving lino or wood. Only technique is slightly different.
I have the bell on and everything, but just now saw this video come up. 😩
Outstanding!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great chisel control...!
Precioso hermano. Muy bien trabajo

Beautiful 💓
Eso fue increible. Gracias por el video
Amazing.............. ^^
I love the process, but I keep thinking there has to be something with more artistic potential to do with it. Anyway, I appreciate the care it took to present this.
such a unique piece you're very talented! could i know what ink you use?
Respect greeds from vienna
Just received two prints from you the other day. They are beautiful Emil! I inquired about you possibly using Bob Dylan as a future subject. / commission? Your imagery invokes the mystical storytelling I hear within his current music.

Beautiful. How long did this take to complete and the large scale linos you do. They are amazing.

Nice work, although I think the man’s clothing could’ve had some crosshatching rather than being blank

Wow!
❤❤❤❤
as I'm seeing Society lead, controlled totally manipulated as if really knowing something, love that Pied Piper
Can I ask you, where did you buy that amazing sharpening stone?
Do you think acrylic paints good for this type of work? Or black gesso paint?
Hey, can I ask you please, that wheel that you use for rotation, how is it called? whats this? :D amazing. thank you
AMAZING!!!! You are magic! Thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece! Just one question: are you self-taught or did you have a teacher? Thank you 🙇♂️🙌🙇♂️
No I don't have any education in printmaking, I just watch a lot of RUclips videos and try out things.

I dream of watching about how you tattooing people
Я тебя люблю
Viéndote hasta el diablo baila.
Hello,
This is annoyingly over complicated. Just draw in the wood and carve it. Stop trying to make love to the thing.
Good working but picture is very bad and pathetic
Hey - sorry if this has been asked before, but I am really curious what you stain your wood with before you start cutting. Is it watered down acrylic paint? Thanks so much, I adore your work and your videos. :)
Yes, i'm using acrylic ink, but not from the tube (* it leaves a thicker layer of ink and it suck for small details) but in liquid form, I found this ink in my local art shop '' Liquitex acrylic ink''
