The fact that they is no actual research to make sure that the actions aren’t fraudulent is INSANE IN 2024!!!
The county is 100% at fault. When there is no law. Being a jurisdiction of law as in a COUNTY. They can make up their own internal controls. This is a failure of all the people in that office. All those idiots should be fired for absolute negligence.
The loophole was left there on
purpose. Minorities better wake up and get smarter because there are even more undiscovered loopholes.
@@HTCM8FLY That doesn't make any sense.
Inside job!
That home is gorgeous. I’m glad she got some justice
I'm stuck on the fact that she bought that huge house for $430k. All that land.
And on Riverside Drive in Sandy Springs where I used to live. That is cheap for that area which is more like in the millions. I sold my house near there in 2008 for $380,000 and it sure didn't look like that (very run of the mill).
It was a foreclosure. She bought it for $480,000.
Perfect timing, she caught the sale before the COVID housing boom started.
Has to be worth atleast 2x as much now at minimum
@@RacieRainAn LLC bought it in foreclosure. The current owner then purchased it from the LLC for $480k. The LLC probably paid $300k.
❤ The fake landlord needs to be in jail
I recently had a fake realtor rent a house to me to use on air bnb who I paid every month faithfully. Well, she didn't pay the owner (she lived in Cali) and kept all proceeds. The owner finally showed up and informed me that the realtor told her I was in the hospital for the last 8 months. Needles to say, I moved out and let the home owner have her property back and deal with that thief.
That happened to a friend of mine years ago. My friend rented a room when she was in college. She paid her rent to who she thought was the home owner. The thief wasn't the owner. She was a renter herself. However, she wasn't legally allowed to sublet any rooms in the house. In fact, she wasn't even *paying* the rent. My friend and the thief ended up getting evicted.
It was a guy who looked Indian/Mexican . He wanted a family member of mines to pay him extra 900 dollars for allowing them to use section A. Section A would pay him 678 dollars and all that was left was maybe 120 to be paid to him.
He tried to say , it’s because he’s doing them a favor.
As he kept on rambling on.
I jumped in and said as I was picking up trash in a pile he wouldn’t pick up. I said you know you talking too… much and you sound like you should be working in a Casino. Because you seem like a con artist and a bad gambler. He asked who was I sum kind of lawyer. I laughed and said nooo.. I’m just listening to you and you don’t make sense you are been too greedy and you over doing instead of just letting thing take shape you forcing them by scheming. My family said, let it go just calm down I got this. I said I’m calm he just need to hear himself. Your boss is in NewYork. Sounds like a whole scheme. He kept on trying to say. Section A don’t like to pay. Why don’t u get them to send you the money and you pay me in Advance and just keep the money they send you. He said , yea but see the check will be in your name. He said , yea I’ll come by and pick it up and just added towards your rent, he said, so what about the money I would pay you in advance ,will I get it back . He said no , why should I .you paying your rent. He asked . So how much is the rent. Only 900 dollars. He then ask so why would I pay you 900 in advance then give you the check to. Fake 3 party landlord said. You are pay your rent. You want the place or not. You know it’s hard for your kind to get into nice places like these neighborhoods, outside looked oh Kk., but the 70’s was not fit for a ego party or the nonstop , plumbing issues they had in that house for a yr. He then say to my family member, you asking too many questions. I said, see you keep on talking around and over looking at the question. He insists on he’s not over charging them , just nonstop talking.I told my family it’s fake don’t get involved he’s going to trick you. After a yr. Of him adding late feeds charges and claiming he never gotten rent when she was on Section A. He sued them for that extra 900 he wanted and late fees . Just a bunch of greedy drama. I tried to tell my family members to avoid this con artist. Never showed up to court, but wrote letters to keep him owing him the money . Humm..evil con ..Humm.
@@insightwmrssladywbuzz5779 FYI Section 8 not A. HUD housing. Terrible how many con artists scammers are out there.
All 50 states need to update their laws to prevent this kind of fraud. Require proof of purchase, identification for anything filed with state institutions.
I’ve lived in Atlanta for the past 5 yrs, this is the most deceitful place I’ve ever seen. Than they move so damn slow with everything. Everything is a scheme or scam out here. I’m so glad I’m moving Ray Charles can see this state is ran by a bunch of idiots🤦🏾♀️
They're called democrats
I see you got fooled by the lies of ATL too; I lived there for almost 10 yrs; too high, crooked people, the move to lock you up for any little thing, which caused you to be stuck; I got my collage degrees and bounce! They are too expensive also, for no reason! Over-hyped and Over price!
@@Sense71 EXACTLY, this place is ridiculous. All that frontin on tv, don’t believe the hype. This place is TRASH!!!!!
It's not just Atlanta; it's everywhere, even overseas, except that it often degrades into war there. Any big city has big city problems that are hard to solve; look at New York City now. It has been this way before and has recovered only to dive again. Technology has altered the world in both good ways and bad; it's all new to everyone. We'll deal with it and get control eventually, but the damage done along the way is most unfortunate. Government needs to find a way to move more swiftly, get ahead of the curve and stay on top of things as they happen. The way to do that is to raise taxes to fully fund every aspect of government. Government fails when it is underfunded. If you don't like paying taxes, don't complain about government.
I was looking for this comment. I’ve only visited Atlanta but knew I wouldn’t want to live there. I call it Scamlanta 🤣🤣🤣
I'm PLEASANTLY impressed with this investigative work here. More of this level of follow through will help the entire state infinitely.
I agree--excellent investigative journalism.
Someone can file paperwork without ID wow.
All because a woman wanted her house back….. I would sue her to the first degree💯💯💯🌅😇
She lost her house
*YES!* That's exactly what I said!! And the irony is that the woman lost her house because she didn't pay her mortage. But the new owner *bought* the house. But that asshat is trying to evict her because she didn't pay rent. Really? Boy just stay in Florida. That is, if you really live there.
@@queenbluntressspeaks2695 For the very reason they're trying to evict the home owner.

So this is the way, they stole a lot of land from the proper ownersin the past wonder how many victims knowingly and unknown been robbed
Why don't you show their faces?
They don't have a copy of their ID. Weren't you listening? They just have their names on documents.
@RacieRain Actually, I was paying attention. Because both crooks have been formally charged, under the FOIA, the news station can request and show their IDs to the public. Maybe it was you that wasn't paying attention.
@@victortoombs4754 Crazy how people *"know"* the law but *don't know" the law. First, FOIA is something a person has to file for. It's not automatic. And second, just because *ONE* of them was formally charged and doesn't meAN they know what the perp look like. I can have you formally charged for a crime, however, if I don't know what you look like I can't post your picture. So, you weren't listening.
@roamiblu1833 Under the FOIA, you can request a drivers license and news agencies do that all the time. Are you really that stupid, or do you just play dumb for RUclips.🤣🤣🤣
Exactly
All the ppl that was involved needs to be arrested and get time
States meed to catch up with technology and scams asap, a simple form of ID and deed search would have stopped the fraud. I’m glad my little town makes you do things in person.
Too many clever crooks! We can't believe in anyone!

Honor system?!?!!!!! 🤨🙄

That went through my mind, too.
I said the same thing
If you try and steal my home you will not see another day.
And you will see the rest of your days through bars. Are you sure that you want to stand behind that threat?
Okay so how do you stop this? It's not like that person is going to show up and take it in person. They just file documents with the court. The only people you're ever seeing are armed deputies. Good luck fighting them off. I mean true. Once you get kicked out you can go back and do something about it. But then the only thing that happens is you go to jail. You still lose the house
Should be sent to prison for a minimum of 25 years if found guilty.
It’s not quite as fraudulent as I thought! The person knew what they were doing but it’s not necessarily criminal imho! They did live there
That's what Fani pack should be investigating, making sure the citizens of her state are protected. From fraudster like that micheal guy.

Why is stuff so ass backwards in Georgia???!!!
Now there's the question to ask! Maybe because it's deep red? You know, like most deep red states with so much poverty and backwardness. The only blue part of Georgia is Atlanta, but their votes are suppressed and gerrymandered out by a red governor and a red legislature.
Maje it easy to steal stuff from Black people.
Where is the money? How can someone make money by evicting someone for their own house?
They can get a loan based on the home's value. They can rent the home. They can sell the home. All three of those scenarios are money-making ways.
In this case, it's not about making money but getting back house that the first home owner lost because she didn't pay her mortgage. The house is paid for now and she's trying to get it back.
This is why people need a license for everything. Glad she got it finally straightened out.
The same state that gave us Marjorie Taylor Green.
Omg, this is beyond insane
Yo this is wild AF, Like how the county and state letting this ride
Georgia be having some ass backwards stuff going on! I moved here from the West Coast and currently live down in Macon.
Yes, very backwards and seems to keep happening. Wonder, if colonial laws that were never updated to modern times. Reminds me of squatter rights anyone can claim ownership.
Yep how land was stole from us all the time. 🤷🏾♀️

Very informative investigation story. Well done!
Atlanta was supposed to be the new black mecca, don't you believe it
It used to be when I lived there from 2005-2012. Now it’s just filled with scammers, frauds, and wannabe celebs and fake influencers.
ATL is all smoke & mirrors
It was that way to steal from African and poor people.
That man should be in jail. And check to see if they stole other properties. Evil.
Sounds like George needs to pass some new laws ASAP!! Along with requiring notarized documents proving you own the property and photo ID to be submitted with e-filings.
That is absolutely ludicrous! Apparently the "honor system" is not working. Smh
It is interesting. I bet laws would change if some of these thieves got a hold to the deeds of rich and wealthy people and squatted on their properties. There would be a great uproar. Of course, this would not happen because the rich and wealthy usually put their assets in trust.
YOU'RE RIGHT ON THE MONEY. THEIR TIME IS COMING TO AN END SOON.
You are correct
Mrs Cummings your employer needs to give you a raise!
Your reporting has gotten a law change! That's excellent reporting!
Now, you're reporting on this criminal activity that's liable to get another law enacted.
Thanks for bringing these crimes to the public's attention.
I hope the lady featured in this story gets restitution! I hope the criminals who tried to have her evicted get prison time.
Criminals should be arrested, charged, tried, prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison.
Congratulations, the Lord is with you!!!
You want a clear title. That's why you have a title search so you have a clear title to the property. Change the laws Georga. The honor system does not work in these times.

Why does the state have such a ridiculous law like that it’s utterly ludicrous
Even if there is no statute governing requiring ID / proof of ownership, the POLICY of county commissioners should be to require it.
Wow!!

So the man who filed the paperwork is not a criminal??????? But they will criminalize you if you refuse to leave your home
Im in Detroit going through a quit claim dees fraud. Laws can be changed to prevent this but the county clerks office would loose money from the fees they collect. Now a lawyer must be paid thousands to undue the transaction. Downright sickening.
Disgracefully. To steal black peoples homes
Great, it's fine that they submit the forms without identification, but aren't they supposed to verify the legitimacy of such paperwork?
WOW
Him and that other scammer should be in prison
The fact that someone can file property documents without having to prove they actually own the property or even providing identification is beyond belief. This is not a loophole. It’s a criminal scheme run by the state.
You can't freakin' walk down the street without po-po pulling up and demanding ID! But, yet, some thief can walk in and file an eviction against someone who legally owns their home with NO ID???
I have an idea! Get your ID-hungry cops to work at the courthouse where one files evictions. Let's see someone get past those ID-demanding thugs!!
👏👏👏👏

I don't know if my county requires ID for recording documents, but people can sign up with their email address to receive
notification that documents were filed on their property.

Shame on you Georgia!!!🤬😡🤬
The loopholes for deed theft and property squatters should be closed immediately. I feel terrible for this woman. She should not have to endure these gutter-level tactics from criminals who are angry because they legitimately lost this house.
People have been complaining for years. They've done nothing to protect homeowners. Why?
Because they probably had it set up like that since slavery so the black people could have their property stolen
If it was a judge or his big pocket friends they wouldn't put up with no crap like this

Honor system? Better to say the “Your Honor” system. Courts have recourse - plaintiff must appear or risk a default loss. If the judge has reason to suspect fraud, he has armed bailiffs present to take the party into custody while the Sheriff investigates.

You’re conflating two issues. The alleged crime only happened in one city, Sandy Springs in Fulton County.
The accused fraudster now lives in Florida. Just because he now lives in Florida does not mean the case meets the standards for FBI involvement.
This is so backwards! Change the laws! The clerk should require proof of ownership to submit an eviction notice.
Ma'am, You own a dream house! Even with the new law, these demons have tried twice to steal your home & possessions. Please make sure you have a good real estate lawyer you can reach at a moments notice. I'd also suggest you get to know several cops. The higher the rank the better just as a Plan B in a pinch. And if you leave on vacation, make sure you have a live-in house sitter & tell your neighbors. And speaking of neighbors, I hope you've talked to a many as possible about this. If not your house, they may try the next one. Even if you're neighbors aren't a few feet away, you need to look out for each other! If for no other reason then being able to vouch for one another by saying "yes, she's my neighbor(her name) but I've never seen that other guy who claims to live there!"
