  • My mom has really been getting into kayaking lately. She wanted her own kayak, and decided the Body Glove Porter Inflatable Kayak Package was the one for her!

We tried using a hand pump, but that was no fun. So today we are going to test out an electric pump that uses the car 12V DC connector, and the Ryobi Battery powered inflator.

Bought the Whale based off this video review and am super happy with it, not even fully charged it blew up 2 boards from zero and then added air to 3 other boards.

I use a created for SUP pump which I hook up to the DC carport on a Jackery 300 battery generator. Works great but I wouldn’t bring either item on the board with me while SUPing. iRocker makes a small external battery to connect to a SUP pump to. It is more economical than buying the jackery but the jackery is so diverse.

Just an FYI to everyone. If you set your psi to 40. The pump will work quicker, keep in mind you must keep an eye on the climbing pressure as to not go over your max rated pressure. Once you're closer to 15, just pause and reset to 15psi and let it top up in a matter of seconds vs minutes. Cheers.

Thanks for video. Are you able to pump up SUP fully with the ryobi high volume hose? Or do you have to switch to the high pressure hose halfway? Thanks

I have the same Ryobi pump. My question is, how did you remove the nozzle off the high pressure hose? I tried twisting and turning, but couldn't get remove. Maybe use a heat gun to remove nozzle off the hose?

    Oitdoormaster ✅
    RYOBI ❌
Your Ryobi will overheat and burn out as the unit has to be rested for 10minutes every 10 minutes of use as per manufacturers instructions...
Outdoormaster: Dolphin II 10 boards sequentially, Whale 5 boards, Cachalot 2 boards...

20 minutes for the Ryobi is far too long...

Love the video. But when switching from high volume to high pressure using the Ryobi, you disconnected the hose while the valve was still inserted. You can hear and see a TON of air leaked out. Should've reattached the high volume nozzle again until the board is visibly filled up before switching to the high pressure valve. So 20 minutes isn't accurate. Should be more like 12-14 minutes if done properly.
