You didn't bring it up in the video, but the guidance laser on her fatal blow does 50 unblockable chip damage before the cutscene starts up. If the opponent has no fast way to advance out of it, doing a fatal blow when the opponent is on 5% or less can win you a round just from those hits of chip, as they can kill: the guidance laser just needs to remain over them, so if you hit fatal blow after a knockdown it can actually work as a round ender if they use a stationary wakeup armor or kameo summon.
Amazing work once again dude. Sektor in MK1 is actually my 2nd favorite version of Sektor only behind the original one from MK3, NRS/WB did an amazing job with Sektor in MK1.

Ryan, masterful guide as always. I wanted to point out something you might’ve missed with F3: you can delay/cancel it. You float forward with the delay and can instantly cancel it into other strings or the air float for a bar. I use it to force opponents into a bit of a guessing game since letting go of 3 will end in the low, and doing the delay into float can put you in range for a J1/2 conversion. Not great raw, but adds another layer of offense with the delay & cancel.
I love Sektor, I’ve waited for this character for so long man and I’m really happy with her gameplay Also the shield actually does absorb low projectiles, at least Noob’s slide and mileenas low sai.
I want to emphasize how good the S2 charge really is. When it is charged it hits from damn near half screen and jails into her bf1 which is safe at that distance. Obviously you want to get your charge from the db3 rather than the charge/cancel but I feel like people are kind of overlooking how good a half screen, +9 on block mid that jails her projectile safely really is. Once I started to play around with it more, I started getting HUGE mileage out of that button when it’s charged. The retreating option is also really good, while it doesn’t jail, i have caught people trying to armor and sektor just slides away to the perfect distance to whiff punish. She’s an insane character and so much fun.

I think people are really sleeping on F3 delay/cancel as well. You can force your opponent to guess since you can cancel F3 float, DB4, raw cancel to keep up pressure, or the regular F3. She’s got so many layers of offense, it’s insane.
I ran into a Sektor using Khameleon and were doing come crazy stuff with the kitana fan lift and actually getting full combos from hitting with the sidewinder rocket. Another was using sektor teleport after hitting with the kitana fan throw projectile for almost 35% dmg. Definitely something to look into!
You forgot to mention that the standard DB3 allows for a quick projectile from sektor, while an EX DB3 allows for a teleport combo; both are way more useful tools than a charged standing 2.
I think it's worth mentioning: - you can 21 charged s2 so it pushes you backward (special cancelable) - you can hold f3 and cancel into thruster boost/special
40:00 use forward mavado and you can combo, either into missle launcher or ex teleport. Not sure about full screen but at normal distance i dash forward 4 into either special
If you use khamelion with sektor. You can use the Kitana lift after a bf1 and if it hits the opponent if you use your float at the right time you get a free safe jump 16:35 in regards to the float setups
I like the sektor and motaro combo off the ex missle while still grounded but i like comboing off any of her projectiles with mavado. I wanna see a more out there pick actually
2 things with Motaro! You can combo off flame thrower instead of having to use a bar on the gun. You can full screen combo off enhanced gun for over 40%.
You missed some important stuff. You can do an instant projectile after blocking with the shield. and foward 3 can be held (and will go over pokes), can be cancelled, and can be cancelled into 44 witch is plus on block
I’m surprised he missed this tbh. It seems like everyone is overlooking the F3 going over low attacks when that could be really important if someone’s wake-up is a low

One thing you and everyone else I’ve seen miss or at least not talk about/explore is that EX air missile can be immediately cancelled into other special moves. Most notably the extra jump without it costing any meter. This allows her to extend off of f212 and f4 for alternative combo paths. I have an example of it on my channel called “MK1 Sektor Concept 3”. I did not optimize it but i am certain the right kameos can net some good damage or setups from it

There may be some potential with Darrius. The fact that you can call him in on a straight missle connect or on an S4 side winder. But i can't make it work, perhaps someone with faster fingers could though
Hey Ketchup I’m not sure if you know this but in your video, with the motaro kameo, you were doing all your combos with e/x rocket into teleport you don’t have to spend a bar you can do flame burner into motaro teleport and still combo meterlessly. You should see the damage Motaro actually gives you its insane
I would also look into charged Standing 21. It's pretty hit confirmable, and it sends you full screen if you don't cancel it. I havent labbed it too much but I know it can cancel into DB4 telee
How do you get the second air nade to land in the corner combo, if I hold back to ensure it does the close nade sektor is then too far away to land the s4 into db2? No matter how I try it I don’t get the same gravity you get in the video? Sektor is too far away if I do the jump kick early after the first air nade and in the video you are still right next to them, is there something I’m missing?
The Lao cameo is interesting…I knew ppl used the teleport like motaro but I didn’t consider the rest of his moves…I’ve personally been using goro with sektor not the best but he gets the job done…great guide tho! S/N: this guy ketchup forgot to mention her f4 3 string (the “Ultimate” guide he says, smh! lol jk)

It is bad imo, just +2. Her mid is too slow, so maximum you can do is to win a free poke from that plus. Going +2 into f21 will result Sektor being interrupted with enemy's poke. Her low is too slow to use as well i guess.

Kung Lao has been my favourite cameo with her due to his teleport synergy and her float mechanic.
