His testimony about his PTSD helps me understand my late brother, who was never the same after his time in the military. Before he passed, he found a spiritual path and some internal peace. For many, it appears that Iboga may help them find theirs.
I've been on a very similar journey of healing for my ptsd through traditional native healing ceremonies, plant spirit medicine and mindfulness practice. Rob's experience is very common amongst trauma survivors, irrespective of the origin. Finding some way to gently, but firmly confront the roots of the trauma is key to healing, whatever path one seeks. I've also found EMDR helpful in my healing work, as well. When we learn to work with the roots, poison can be transmuted into medicine.
Wow. I've never been in the military but your mind sounds exactly like mine otherwise. I thought I would never be able to fix what I did to myself. Thank you so much, you've given me so much hope.
03:04 - Wow. I remember that day. I was in Mosul as well. I wasn't in the DFAC, but a bunch of guys from my unit (1/25 ID) were killed or injured. I was in the brigade TOC at the time and vividly remember the chaos that ensued immediately afterward. It's an experience that I think of quite often, but rarely hear described by other people. I don't feel so alone anymore. Although I was discharged from the Army in 2005, I was only diagnosed with PTSD about a year ago. The pills didn't work.
Thank you for that articulate intelligent video about plant based medicines. I hope this video will help others as I believe it will. Thank you for your courageousness .
Hey, Firstly respect to you for serving your country. Did you have your treatment yet? if so how it go? I have treatment on the 7th september not for PTSD but for an addiction, I cant wait and I hope your treatment goes great or has gone great
I understand what you're going through, I'm a Marine Corp Vietnam combat veteran, and I'm still Ffffd up @ 65yrs., the VA want to fill you with pills for the rest of your life, to keep you comotosed. Everything you've gone through just multiply it by 10 and now you know what I've been going through to this day. I do not have the funds to go where you went but Ibogaworld might be the answer. I'm flicked up still, all these years, is there any hope. I'm trying anything except the VA pill push.
Seems damn expensive. I just found a website and they are selling Ibogaine TA for 72.50$CAD per gram and they recommend 2g at a time. They even recommend you do 10 or more Iboga sessions. You're probably looking at a 1000$CAD. Holy shit...
A type of hot power yoga called Bikram yoga can help just about anyone who's willing to experience sweating for an hour and a half and doing some challenging postures. It's a miracle yoga and has helped many people with all sorts of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual issues. You have to go (in my exp) 4-5 times a week to really see the amazing results it can work.

I am so happy for you. I hope you are continuing to recover. Sounds like you brought yourself back from a very dark place. Peace.
