      Great video👍!! But you got a couple of things wrong
      First you don't pasive tame the baby you Claim the baby, same as when you hatch them from egg, so even if you don't have any items in your inventory you can still claim the baby(you can see in the video every time you Claim a baby the food in in your hotbar doesn't charge)
      Second: something you might not know, Parents and Babies always have the same level!!!! So if tame the Parent the baby will have the same level!!!
      Just tamed the other day a level 95 Stego with a baby and after taming the Stego was level 142 and the baby was 142 as well😶😶

    • @andreihotea8670
      @andreihotea8670 Год назад

      Now here is a good experiment you can do to find some exploits!!!🤣🤣
      So if Parents and Babies always have the same level, what if you tame the Parent and don't Claim the baby but have it follow the Parent an if you level up the Parent will the baby gain the same levels as the parent!?!
      And if so can you tame a dino with baby, level up the dino then Claim the baby and level up the baby again!?!?😶😶
      Can you gain 88 + 88 levels on a dino!??🤣🤣

      It wholly depends, but I’d argue it would be easier for the most part to just kill the parent, then claim the baby, Ntm generally a lot less dangerous, especially when cryopods are officially implemented.
      Especially Trikes early on, they can be a pain to tame for many

    I don't think you need the food on your hotbar (or it's bugged if you're supposed to need it). I've inprinted 3 baby raptors, a baby parasaur and a baby trike with mejoberries on my last slot. (They were only there in case a Pego comes up to steal stuff) I'm not 100% sure, but I think at least one of those actually didn't have food in my last hotbar slot at all. (Needs testing though, as I DID have cooked meat on second to last slot at all times)

    Taming a mother near its baby will raise the level of the baby before you claim it. If you see a 150 dino with a 150 baby and you tame the adult, the babies level instantly raises to match the adults level post tame before you claim it. Good way to get a free 224 baby and a 224 adult at same time.

    I have to ask, are you enjoying playing ASA? I for some reason enjoy it more than ASE. I have played the island so much I was sure I would hate it. I have cranked up my dino spawn rate because of the issue you discussed. Other than that, i have been having a blast. Love the new dino colors and the building has been great

    • @Reece_107
      @Reece_107 10 месяцев назад +1

      If you don’t mind a random reply, then yeah, I’ve been enjoying it way more than ASE. I don’t even remember much from playing ASE, I think my steam playtime is only 80 minutes, actually. Though I used to play Ark Mobile for a good while, and enjoyed that.
      I think, for me at least, it was that ASA is much easier. This is just because I used the single player settings and didn’t realize at the time those were ridiculously scaled, but I was able to enjoy the game without getting pissed by every little thing killing me on a whim, while still having enough of a challenge at times to be engaging.
      Again, I don’t recall much from playing ASE, but I think I might’ve only played official servers, where obviously the rates are way down from SP. Another thing that I remember absolutely and utterly hating was the fact that quite literally everything could go wrong at a moments notice, and even worse, without you there to even give you a chance at doing anything. While it may be part of The Ark Experience, I’m probably just a more casual player for this game. I like taming cool dinos and that’s it to be honest.
      For Ark Mobile, it was similar to ASA, where I played on PVE servers mostly, so not only was I helped by others, but it was just a more chill experience in general. It was easier, but not enough to just make any encounter trivial, so I could actually enjoy it.
      God knows how I’ll fare on an ASA server though, official or not, but so far I’ve been enjoying a single player experience, though I have tweaked some settings to make it a bit harder.

      And if you tame it the baby will get the same level as the parent....just tamed the other day a lvl 95 Stego with a 95 baby an after taming, the stego was lvl 142 an the baby was 142😶😶!!
      And the baby will always stay next to the parent unless you attack the baby or kill the parent.
      So after you KO the parent don't go look around for 10-15 minutes for the baby like me😂😂 the baby will be next to the parent!

      Yes. That's the better way in my opinion. You get the extra levels with both as well. Even better if you can get a male and female and make babies right away for imprinting for better stats.

    Very informative! But overall baby dinos seem useless. No kibble level boost, and lots of food required. Better to just tame parent. UNLESS the normal dino tame is really hard. So maybe this would be good for stuff like carchas or rhyniognathas.

      in the video there are some babies that gained levels once imprinted on, like if they where tamed...and some others did not.
      I am having the same issue, i am testing but i can't find an answer on how does this all work.
      if the babies get costantly levels like a 100% tame this can be very useful

    dude, some of your creature got extra levels like they were tamed, and some other did not.
    I am having the same issue and i can't understand what makes them gain levels.
    surely is not the food in the hotbar, because i can imprint them without it, and some gain levels and some not....mostly not.
    i have been testing for days without results on how this is determined
    you have any idea?

      Tamed parent have the same effect as killed parent.
      You can claimed the baby right after the parent is tamed, also the babies will not run away and will still following the tamed parent.
