We gave our older dog pain meds from the vet because she had hip pain. It was cheap and she walked and acted like a young pup for several more years. No harm in trying. 1/4 of a pill a day kept her feeling good.

Meredith, what I use is a patio umbrella or beach umbrella if I have to be in the sun working , like doing a break job. I use a piece of rope to tie the umbrella to the side of the car, throwing the rope over using the opposite side mirror or through open windows and over the roof. Get a cheap umbrella for this purpose. Don't let him sit out in the sun like that. Then you can take the umbrella to the river for shade. I'm 74 and have been doing that for 30 years. Surprise him and have it in his work shop and when you see him in the sun like that, set it up. The fan is also good but today's sun is way hotter than it was years ago when he just to rough everything he does outdoors.

Great update, I see Laurence is struggling to move or work let alone the heat of the sun beating down too. Can your boys start on clearing some space in that barn and junk it? Then their father can get some shade when rebuilding the truck brakes, there will always be something to repair.

Hi y’all. Are you reading the first edition or the second edition of the book? My husband, every time he works on something he’s seems to always be in the sun, in the hottest part of the day. I just don’t understand why when we have shade in areas with power and close to the barn from the pastures or at least take a break during the hottest part of the day. He’s been disappointed that he wasn’t/isn’t able to do all the things that he normally did before his diagnosis. Since he just finished his cancer radiation treatments fatigue is awful, but he’s getting through it. When he’s outside he has to wear sunscreen and a hat that covers the back of his neck. He is just now starting to build his strength back up. It’s the hardest part for him because he doesn’t like to not be busy. Our friends say that he’s the hardest working man that they have ever seen and he’s retired from his company that he worked for, for 44 years. Now if I could get him to put weight 😊back on, I would feel much better and I know he would also. Lawrence reminds me so much of my husband. I bet between the two of them that they could tell stories all day. It always scares me when I see the men working underneath a vehicle, tractor or our big lawnmowers (they’re big too me) etc. The car jacks just 🫣 scare me. Glad y’all are getting some rain. Rip heard from Hank that mud baths are healthy and good for his skin and to go ahead and try it. 😂 He’s so proud of himself. 😉 I missed the kids but I know they are busy. Great video Meredith.

Several years ago I had a Chevrolet S10 pickup, don't remember year model. I was having someone do some brake work. He had to replace a brake rotor that had hole in it about 2 inches. About a week before I had driven it down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I was driving down Interstate 40 running 70 miles an hour with a hole in that brake rotor unknown to me.I was lucky something didn't happen

😂🤣🤣🤣 Meredith i raised appaloosa horses for years and rule of thumb is never clean the horse's up until you're gonna ride or transport them. Also keep em tied up after you wash and groom them because if you turn them loose the first thing they do is go roll in mud or dirt 😂🤣🤣
