The first machine was a single tub, and had a mangle, once the clothes were washed, the water had to be drained and fresh water added, and clothes rinsed and put through the mangle each time, till they were free of soap, then they were hung up. I’m glad I had a twin tub! I remember my mum spending the whole day washing and hanging up clothes etc. I would never have a washer/dryer again, my clothes were always creased when they came out, when they’re dry then there’s that dreaded word…ironing, it was the bane of my life! As long as I hang my clothes up straight away, they don’t crease, I buy clothes that barely need ironing.
I bought a very similar indesit 6 5 washer dryer about 17 years ago. I love it. Though mine has a separate dial to control the dryer function. The dryer dial broke years ago. Fortunately it is stuck on the 40 minute dry time! So I have to restart the dryer every 40 minutes! Though I usually hang on an airer after the first 40 minutes drying and switch the dehumidifier on. The 30 minute express wash dry is awesome for not too dirty stuff though if it is cotton it won’t be dry enough to wear I mostly use cotton on 30 and chuck mixed textiles and mixed colours. I live on my own so ideal for me. If I had a family I would prefer separate washer and dryer if I had the space.

BUT: My question is: With the dry only programmes, what happens if you press the drying button? Does it still scroll through A1, A2, etc, or does it not respond?
Seriouly! I watched this entire video! We are from the USA. It has 3 chambers you didn't talk about where the detergent goes!!! Seriously!!! Is it on the left, middle or last (right)
in late 2021\early 2022, i had an IWC71252W, which is the more basic washer-only version of this machine. sadly i sold it on as modern hotpoint\indesit certainly isn't for me. they're nothing like the hotpoint\indesit i know and love, even though the design of the indesit models in particular are the same as several previous generations. but programming completely different and sort-of ruined, in my opinion. my preferred models from hotpoint\indesit are from around 2000-2014.
Terrible machine for its price... 7kg lmao! shouldnt ever come that small in 2023! drying 5kg, thats awful - you need more programmes on these basic machines...

Wash & dry doesn’t work on these washers - mine is new . Clothes are hot and boiling at end of the cycle .

hate indesit i know programme is on drawer but rather it on dial i never liked them sorry but just dont trust them
Famous for breaking the bearings and the motor only lasts for 1or 2 years made in Italy
