What you can also do is put a capo on the first fret, then you don't need to hammer from open to 1st fret on the G string, you can just hold the Cm chord, lift your finger off the G string so that it becomes open, and then your fingers are all already in place for you to strum from 5th fret D string, open G string, 4th fret B string, and you recreate that lovely 3 note signature sweep in the progression, which to me, sounds like all the notes in it are being strummed and ringing out together in the original song.
Kerry can you do the Come thru by summer walker version, basically the same chords and progression but that song has a different sauce i cant capture. Please show me how its done

I play it similar except I play Cm7 to a Fm7 full version but I arppegiate it, noticed the riff you're doing is part of that Fm7 chord.
