Hearing their song 'God allow me (please) to play music', I had goosebumps allover and tears in my eyes. In the last two decades I never felt like this while hearing music. They deliberately released this single to coincide with the commemoration of International Women's Day, which is on March 8, 2022. VoB seems to make this single a medium for women's rights aspirations.

These wonderful young ladies are on a mission and that is to be outspoken and open the eyes of the people, they are strong advocates and aren't afraid to speak their mind. Thank you for such a great reaction (I cried at my first listen and today your reaction made me cry too). As a 25-y.o sexual assault survivor living in Indonesia, I spend my days reliving the trauma since sexual harassment, sexism, and gender-based discrimination is still so rampant here; child brides, domestic violence, multidimensional impoverishment due to unequal reproductive labor, disparity of opportunities, and other forms of gender discrimination, are still happening. VoB gives me a spark of hope, that someday we'll be able to put an end to the violent structures of society that puts a lot of women in a vulnerable situation. Because Indonesian women are strong and we deserve to be respected, heard, and celebrated.
